By Manu Sharma- Part II- Krishna narrates his story. He says that he is an idealist. For an idealist, there is no final goal. Once he achieves what he has thought, he moves over to the next ideal goal. Krishna, Balram reach Mathura on the chariot of Akrur while Nand Gop and other Gops reach Mathura by their bullock carts. Akrur leaves Krishna and Balram at the place informed to him King Kansa. Akrur invites Balram and Krishna to his residence but both inform him that they will visit at a more appropriate occasion. Soon, Gops arrive. The whole group moves to view the city of Mathura. They meet the King’s tailor. They demand that dress be provided to them. On his refusal, Krishna beheads him. They wear the clothes available with him. This incident happens in the open market place. All shopkeepers have witnessed this event. They all have been unhappy with the excesses of King Kansa. All people decide ot help Krishna and team. Kubja, King’s scent and Chandan servant, provides scent and Chandan to all the team. Kubja not beautiful. Krishna pulls her up and her body is straightened and she is now beautiful. The team finds that Dhanush Yagn is decorated. Krishna enters the pavilion, picks up the bow and breaks it. The noise brings Kansa army men to fight him. Both brothers are able to kill the guards. They return to the lodging. Next day, Kansa invites Krishna and Balaram to the wrestling bout. On the gate, Kublyapid elephant is placed to kill them. Both kill Kublyapeedh elephant. During the wrestling bout, they are able to kill Chanur and Mustik, known wrestlers. Krishna jumps and kills King Kansa. Soon, they both move to free their parents and Ugrasen, father of King Kansa. Ugrasen is reinstated King of Mathura. Krishna nd Balam are sent to Sandipani Gurkul for education 64 days. Kansa is wed to Asti and Tripti, daughters of mighty King Jarasandh. When he comes to know that Kansa has been killed by Krishna, he attacks Mathura with a large army. Both brothers are able to defeat King Jarasandh 18 times but Jarasandh continues the attack. Therefore, Krishna builds a new city of Dwarka at the coast of Sea. This is a comparably safe place of Yadavs and Vrishni clan of his people. Krishna leads the Yadavas to the newly built city of Dwaraka. This an interesting book. It is good read for readers of all age groups.
The writer is not convincing in his counters of projecting Krishna as human if anything his weak counter narratives are only strengthening it. I'd still continue for there are some layers that are unfolding in every book. But as it progresses it is becoming more of an unconvincing fiction.
