Dealing with this now

My husband had cancer but was cured until a radiation site got infected 8 years later.

First infection mild but under control with antibiotics. Second infection happened the minute he stopped his antibiotics. Flue like symptoms caused aspiration pneumonia. Hospital one week but infection kept growing. Now it's testing to see how deep the infection traveled, any fungus attached. Another week in the hospital at cancer center. Your book explained why and I'm grateful to read your insight.

Informative and Captivating!

Wow! Really good information on diseases I had never heard of before. The information and cases are written in such a way that you don't feel like you need a medical degree to understand it. While I was not surprised that many cases are from overseas, reading about a case likely caused by the Joplin, MO, tornado was shocking! A quick and easy read, I recommend to anyone who has a curiosity about things on this Earth trying to kill the human race.

Informative & Interesting

It feels odd to say this, but this the kind of scientific book I was looking for. The author approaches this niche topic in a way that is both academic, yet easy to digest. For a reader like me, who doesn’t have a science background, this book is informative, easy to read and understand.

The Flesh Eaters: The World's Deadliest Flesh-Eating Diseases by J.D. Sherwood

This is a book that just seemed to jump out at me. Not a subject I usually read about. Interesting stuff. Not a book for the squeamish and best not read at night.
