With everything against them they must fight harder than ever before to keep it all from destroying them. While Jessica deals with a killer on the loose Alex is busy dealing with problems of his own making.
Can Jessica and Alex come together and fight for the happy ending they both deserve or will they give up and take the easy way out.

I hope everyone likes the final installment of the Harlow Series. Writing this series has been a fun journey and I hate to see it end but look forward to the next chapters in Jane's and Jax's lives....coming soon
The idea of the story is a good one; and I'm sure I will read the next book in the series as well, simply because I just can't not know how the story ends. I just wish it had more originality in the situations. There are scenes that felt like they were taken straight out of other books that I've read. I also felt that some of the conversations seems very unrealistic and felt contrived. I found myself saying, "seriously? Who says that?"
Honestly, I am someone who has a really hard time giving a poor review...especially when I actually like the story. Giving less than 3 or 4 stars breaks my heart because I understand that these authors put everything into writing these books that I love so much. BUT for the love of God - the editing and proofreading in this book is awful. There are a few times when I had to stop reading, because I was so frustrated. Even for a self-published book (which I prefer); I truly feel that there is not a good excuse for constant errors in grammar, missing words in sentences, or words that make absolutely no sense at all. This is just my 2 cents, as it makes me sad to regret purchasing something that someone has put so much time, effort and heart into creating.
I happend to come across this series by accident but OMG I'm so glad that I did. I loved the story of Alex and Jessica. I couldn't wait to read this one. Loved the Alpha male in Alex (I mean what's not to love about a sexy alpha male!) and how Jessica just couldn't turn away from the sexy beast. There were twist and turns and when you thought you had it figured out Wham! It turns out to be completly different! The only thing that I can say that I don't like is the fact that this series has come to an end. Great job!
I would have to say i couldnt even put down this book i had to see what happend next!!! every part in this book had me on my feet what happens next who is the one whos after her i had never would of thought it was herrr !!!!!! wow !!!! shocker but in all i loveedd this book and im very sad that this is the last one :(
I am really beginning to dislike cliffhangers. I love this series, I wish that book three was out !!! Great read as always, amazing storyline with major surprises . Buckle your seat belt to take a ride , its so worth it.
This one was EVEN better than the first. Still some annoying minor editing issues, but one HELL of a cliff hanger! You thought the first was bad...just you wait! For all that is holy in the world that should just not be allowed! I hope the last book comes out ASAP!
I saw some of the twists coming in this book but not all of them and the cliffhanger made me want to read the next book straight away! I like the story so it's a shame the grammar and spelling mistakes keep occurring because it ruins it.
Can't help but be a bit harsh here....the editing/grammatical errors of the first two novels CONTINUE in the third, and after so many reviews made mention of them previously, really disappointed author didn't take the time to listen to them.
This might be the worst third novel in a trilogy I have ever read. It was short, so needed to tie up a lot of loose ends in a prompt manner, but it did so without logic. What I felt when reading was that this author excels at writing sex scenes, she really kept me throughout the series with her writing there, but in between all of those scenes is a very poorly written storyline and plot that is not held together well at all. Examples: new bodyguards introduced into the story (names, sit down for dinner with them, anticipating as supporting cast as such), barely mentioned after that; trip to amusement park - nothing was ever described; attacker - caught (no response from Alex despite his anger prior); just very very underdeveloped details.
I think the author has good concepts, just needs some mentoring on making the most of them. Beta readers are your friend! :-)
Don't even know what to rate this..1, 2, 2.5? or just 0 stars?
So I started this book thought hey I read first 2 books, might as well finish it off and hope its good..
So last book ended when Jessica was attacked and this book starts where she is at hospital. There was no detail as to what the fuck happened it was all very vague.. The story continues aswell as the grammatical errors which drove me up the wall There were parts that I didnt expect and for a moment I was like ooh it might just get good but no..it finished Check out my blog for more reviews! http://zakirrahsbookblog.wordpress.com/
It's not cool that the heroine is willing to take whatever the hero can give (her own words).
SPOILER ALERT!!!
And he isn't even going through a divorce, he is legally married. No matter how much she wants to ignore it, she is his mistress. You can't be anything else to a married man, no matter the circumstances or excuses.
PLUS! Lexy working at his company? OH HELL NO AGAIN!
He is way inconsiderate and she needs to tell him to call her when he's no longer married.
The Cliffhanger?
Very suspenseful. I'm just a little impatient to find out who's attacking her. The football player? Her ex-fiance? Can't wait to find out.
Loved this series! Loved the way C. Shell wrote Jess and Alex, together and apart. But this last instalment, left me wanting more.
I liked Jane a lot more in this book then I did in the past two! Wished there would have been more of an interaction, between Jax, Jane and Jess, loved the chemistry between them. LOVED the few chapters from Alex's POV's. Wish there was more. My disappointment in this book was it being too short, I would have liked the story to be a little move developed!
And the twist at the end!! DID NOT EXPECT THAT!!
Sad to see this series come to an end ... would read more from this author!
I really enjoyed this book.I finished it about an hour ago and I'm still sitting here wondering Wth happened.I like reading a book were the characters make you smile one minute and yelling at them the next.I wanted Jess to find her backbone and stand up to Alex one minute and the next minute thinking of asking Alex to marry me.I actually highlighted my first sentence in a book Ever.
Embracing Him is the second of C. Shell’s Harlow series and continues from the cliffhanger ending of Beneath Him; finishing with its own cliffhanger ending that leads into the final book, Completing Him. As such, Embracing Him doesn’t feel like a complete story and needs to be read in the context of the whole series.
Having discovered that Alex had withheld a huge secret from her, Jessica has returned to her shared apartment and the support of her two best friends. Jessica has acknowledged to herself that she loves Alex but this latest revelation has shattered her and left her uncertain about whether she could ever trust him again. No matter their sizzling chemistry, Jessica is not going to be sweet talked into forgiving Alex in a hurry. Alex is desperate to prove to her that she is the only woman he wants but his overbearing attempts to do this don’t sit well with Jessica. Little do they know that their own disagreements will become the least of their problems.
Embracing Him is a fast paced, sex-filled romance with some interesting little twists and turns to the storyline. Unfortunately, the text is littered with typos, spelling mistakes and omission errors (including multiple spellings of the bodyguard’s name). Having said that, it was a compelling story and I wanted things to work out for Jessica.
This book was the most disappointing of all the books in the Harlow series. The first two, Beneath Him and Embracing Him ends in cliffhangers. Thinking the last one would be better with a conclusion.
It too was a ripoff of Fifty Shades of Grey. I don't know why I didn't realize it when I read the first book. It was such an obvious ripoff with some scenes repeating words from Grey. Still I wanted to know what happened. Not only was it a ripoff but was filled with so many errors it was laughable. I laughed at myself for being taken in by this series and this author. Shame on me and the author. I've learned my lesson and this author lost a reader.
The book rushed to a closure with little to no sense. Nothing indicated a relationship with Lexy and Jessica's Mom. Why would Jessica's Dad sent her Mom money every month for Jessica but not see her once he left? There was so little that made sense.
Save your money and time. Don't even read the first one, even free.
Still sticking with two stars, the potential is there for these to be really good, using a little of her own imagination the author could let these books rock but they are being held back in my opinion because they are not fresh and full of new ideas, they still smack of other authors alpha males, ideas and traits.
But the more I read of this author the more I am truly gobsmacked at the amount of typos and grammatical errors. Even the body guard changes his name in this book because it's been mistyped and not just once a few times! That's just bad, lack of editing and not thoughtful to the reader. Sentences have whole words missing too and words spelled wrong numerous times.
My advice, get some beta readers or get an editor, then get fresh ideas that are from truly your own head and the writing may/should bloom and be captivating.
I waited until finishing the 3rd book before writing something. First thing, I'm getting a Fifty Shades/Crossfires/This Man vibe from this story. The male and female characters are very similar and so are a lot oft he situations. Secondly, OMG the grammar, punctuation, sentence structure and all the wrong words were atrocious. Seriously was it written by a child? Come on, even in high school you had to proof read your work before handing it in. Maybe that should have been done before pressing Publish. Seriously, that is one of my major pet peeves, wrong words and misplaced words argh it drives me nuts; makes reading damn frustrating. All in all, it was all right. I mean, I did read it right?
