Bethany has joked for years that if she ever settles down, it'll be with a harem of men, only it isn't a joke anymore.

Mac is a new werewolf, and still must be watched at every moment to be sure he stays in control. His kink has always been ménage, so when he overhears the beautiful redhead at the bar wanting to take on not only him, but also the werewolf and wereleopard chaperoning his night out... he has to convince them to let him take her home. He might not be trustworthy with a human woman alone, yet, but with two powerful shapeshifters in bed with them, what could go wrong?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Candace Blevins writes urban fantasy, paranormal romance, epic fantasy contemporary BDSM romance, and two kick-ass motorcycle club series. She’s published more than fifty books. Candace lives with her husband of twenty-four years and their two teenaged daughters. The family’s beloved, goofy, retired racing greyhounds are usually at her side as she writes, quietly keeping her company. Or sometimes not so quietly.

Her urban fantasy series, Only Human, gives us a world where weredragons, werewolves, werelions, three different species of vampires, and a variety of other mythological beings exist.

Candace's various paranormal romance series are all sister series to the Only Human series, and give some secondary characters their happily ever after.

Her Dark(ish) Faerie Tale series gives us a close-up and personal look at Queen Mab, and her Dark Underbelly series is, as you’d expect, dark and (if you’re a little twisted) oh-so-yummy.

Her contemporary Safeword series gives us characters who happen to have some extreme kinks. Relationships can be difficult enough without throwing power exchange into the mix, and her books show characters who care enough about each other to fight to make the relationship work. Each couple in the Safeword series gives the reader a different take on the lifestyle.

Wow, I needed fanning while listening to this!

Acceptable Risk is a reverse harem and is the 2nd reverse harem book I have come across recently. This is also a shifters/ human relationship.

This is a relatively short audiobook at 2 hours 57 minutes but it packs a lot into that time. It is the third in series and I have not read the previous books.

Bethany is one lucky, strong minded woman! After catching the eye of new werewolf Mac in a bar when he overhears her  at the bar wanting to take on not only him, but also the werewolf and wereleopard chaperoning his night out. Luckily for her Mac loves a menage and because he is a new werewolf he wouldn't be trusted alone with a human woman but his companions are more than up for some fun with the beautiful redhead.
What start out as a one night stand has real potential for a future but there are a lot of hurdles that they must overcome.

I really did enjoy this Acceptable Risk. Noah Michael Levine does sexy narrating very well. The characters are flawlessly portrayed and he flows from one character to another seamlessly.

The sexy story written by Candace Blevins really couldn't have hoped for a better narrator.

More please...

This story was first published in the Every Which Way anthology.

The h/Bethany is Gen's best friend. She's under Duke's protection & if i'm not mistaken was first introduced in Duke by Candace Blevins . I really enjoyed Bethany's story. She's an intelligent & fiercely independent woman. Bethany's not looking to seattle down for more than a night. When it comes to her ideal committed relationship Bethany wants what her friend Cassie has, a ménage (Safeword series).

The men:
Jonathan was first introduced in The Dragon King by Candace Blevins . I quickly fell for that feline.
Mac is a newly turned werewolf who's suffering from a serious case of boredom. He's grown tired of staying home.
Ranger was first introduced to us in Riding the Storm by Candace Blevins as Eric's uncle. Ranger is Mac's sire (?), he's responsible for Mac & educating him in all things werewolf.
The men live together in Jonathan's home as roommates.

The story opens with Ranger reaching out to Duke the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club leader for permission to visit his bar. He explains Mac's situation & is given the ok. As Mac, Ranger, & Jonathan walk into the bar Bethany takes notice & comments on her willingness to get friendly with the three of them. Thanks to supernatural hearing Bethany's interest is noted & the story becomes rather interesting from that point on.

I rate this book 5 stars.
I would recommend this book to any pre-existing fans of the "Kirsten O’Shea Universe", The Chattanooga Supernaturals sister series in particular.

Kitty's ebook review posted 9/21/15 at Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

Wow. Another winner by Candace Blevins. This time a short story including some of our favorites from the Rolling Thunder gang. We also have mention of Aaron from The Chattanooga Supernaturals. I guess that’s one of the best things that I love about Candace’s work … she ties all of her series together and makes it interesting.

But, to say that Max, Ranger and Jonathan are interesting is an understatement. They are hot, sexy and shifters. Two wolves and a leopard make very fun bed partners for sure and Bethany is going to get her wish of being loved on by three men. But, no way is she going to allow a relationship because all men do is cheat and lie. Yeah, ok. I guess she needs to learn a thing or three about these men.

So, another binding ceremony since our Bethany finds out, the hard way, about shifters. Then there is the relationship ceremony which she, reluctantly agrees too. Then there’s the separation and she finds out just what these three men mean to her.

Ranger – Drake Security employer …. A Dom who loves ropes and whips … hot, sexy, serious and responsible.

Max – Soon to be former government operative. Turned by Ranger to save his life. Hot, sexy, has an uncontrollable wolf until Clare tames him.

Jonathan – Sophia’s bodyguard. Works directly for Aaron Drake. A cat that loves breasts and ass play. Hot, sexy, smooth as silk.

Yea, Bethany has her work cut out for her if she thinks, for one minute, that this little tryst is not going to be anything but a relationship.

I love the way Candace brings out the kink in all of us. No, there is nothing in this book that would be considered true BDSM but there is kink. Nope, she doesn’t consent to the breast binding or the nipple clamps, but she knows it will please her men. Nope, she doesn’t consent to having her breasts whipped … but she knows it will please her men. The pride and lust on their faces is all that it takes for her to take the pain, take the pleasure and enjoy the ride.

I always wait for Candace Blevins to release a new book. I know that I will always be satisfied, that I will love the characters and love the story that she weaves around them. I adore that she incorporates characters from other stories and makes them feel like a real family to us. But, most of all, is that she cares enough about her readers to always write something new and fresh, to keep the story moving along and develop characters that we really can care about.

This is a must read if you are enjoying Candace Blevins' interlinked erotic Paranormal Series. The poly group that forms in this book makes a lot of appearances in later books.

The heroes are great and the sexy is hot. As always with Blevins, the world building is compelling as is the writing.

Because this is a novella, the heroine is not as well developed (or maybe she is developed in early book) and I wasn't as into the romance.

But I am glad I read this one to fill in the world.

AUDIBLE REVIEW 5/7/18

I had the pleasure of reviewing Acceptable Risk when Candace first put out this story in book form. Now, I got the pleasure of listening to this story. This is the first time I have gone Audible and wasn't sure if I would enjoy hearing a story instead of reading it, taking in the words on a written page. It was hard at first but, as the story was being told, I found myself not being able to turn it off.

Candace always writes with a flair but, hearing her words from a sexy voice (Noah Michael Levine) brought it up a notch. I loved this story when I first read it and thoroughly enjoyed hearing it again. He seemed to bring the characters more to life, gave them a different feel to me. As for the sex scenes … well, they were kicked up to a whole other level.

The story of Bethany, Ranger, Max and Jonathan was really brought to a whole other level on Audible. It was unusual being able to hear the confusion, excitement and passion in the story. Each character seemed to have come alive and their feelings for the other were greatly enhanced.

As usual, it's a Candace Blevins story that was written beautifully but truly brought to life in the Audible format. I would love to listen to more but I'm not sure if listening to the Safeword series (my favorite of all time) would be conducive to getting anything done in my life. But, I commend Ms. Blevins on taking a chance on putting Acceptable Risk to an audio book. Good choice, great story, fantastic voice, wonderful author … you can't ask for anything more.

*This title is also part of an Anthology titled "Every Which Way"*

I must say I enjoy the novellas in these three paranormal sister-series that comprise Kirsten O'Shea's Universe. (Only Human, Chattanooga Supernaturals and Rolling Thunder MC). This Universe is so replete with awesome secondary characters in the full novels, that readers can not help but want more than a glimpse of all of them. While full length novels for each character might be desirable, I think the flow and progression of each series and of the Universe as a whole, is best served by these occasional tie-ins - for lack of a better term.

Wolf-shifter "Ranger" and Leopard-shifter "Jonathan" certainly both tweaked my interest in prior books, and particularly Ranger, as the non-vampire-trusting uncle to Eric in Riding The Storm. In Acceptable Risk we do get a bit more filler into their past histories, and then are introduced to newly turned wolf-shifter Mac, to complete the "Harem" for human Bethany.

This novella revolves primarily around the relationship that develops between the four characters and somewhat sadly, doesn't spend much time with the supernatural intrigue and goings-on that truly make this series so rich. While I did miss that component, I suspect the greater purpose is somewhere down the road in a future book from the series, and what we learned of these characters herein will ultimately provide an "ah-ha" moment to be cherished. In the meantime, this tasty morsel provides some pretty hot relationship antics as well as another encounter with Duke. And while any Duke encounter is a welcome thing, it was wholly pleasing to discover that Ranger too, came with all the amazing and unique alpha-wolf attributes.

So to speak...

This was a hot quick read.
Who would have thought that two wolves and a leopard could play nice together? Well, take those three and throw Bethany in there and you have a whole lot of playing nice. *wink* *wink* Bethany always joked around saying she wanted a Harem well, I guess her wish came true.
I have enjoyed many books by Candace Blevins and although this one is shorter then most of her books it did not disappoint. One thing I really liked about this book was that you didn't need to read the first two books in the series to know what was going on but if you have it will make this story more enjoyable because you will know the back story to some of the secondary characters that were mentioned.

My only complaint about Acceptable Risk is that it is too short. I would have liked to get to know Bethany, Jonathan, Ranger, and Mac better. That said, I will definitely be reading more of the Chattanooga Supernaturals. I liked them when they showed up in the Rolling Thunder MC novels, and now they are at the top of my tbr. Menage, shifters, and super hot (kinky) erotica - throw in a bit of drama and suspense, and it's a fast, exciting read. As with all of Ms Blevins novels (that I've read) the writing is fluid and the characters distinct. Bethany isn't the same character from other books recycled in a different dress size. Jonathan, Ranger, and Mac are all distinct characters - not the same guy with different coloring.

I was given and ARC by the author in return for an honest review. I've happily bought three other titles before this one.

Acceptable Risk was originally from an anthology, but now has been released as a novella. The Audiobook is quite short only 2hrs 57mins, so this t is a peek into the one of Candace’s kinky worlds. This one is like most women’s dreams. There you are sitting with your best friend and 3 gorgeous men walk into the bar and you turn to your friend in this case its Jenny. “I wouldn’t mind those three in my harem,” not expecting the men to hear what I said. One problem they are all shifters and they heard, and volunteer for the harem. This is an entertaining story with plenty of sex and kink, but I found it funny in places. The narrator was faultless, a good narrator for me is someone that does multiple voices, that when you’re in the story without thinking the accent on that one is dodgy. The guys were individual, and it was like listening to a group of guys chatting.

What made the experience of listening to Acceptable Risk the most enjoyable?
I think having a narrator with a voice that has you imagining some of the characters helps to get that movie playing in your head. The reason you listen to a book is because you're looking for more of an aural experience. Plus it's a way of getting your book fix while you're able to get other things done at the same time.

Who was your favorite character and why?
You woiuld think that having a male narrator that I would pick a male character. Sorry to disappoint you but it would have to be Bethany. She wants something but as she gets her wish she finds out some secrets that make her a little wary about her choice. You get the sense that what she feels is real. Bethany also knows how to stand up for herself and not afraid to speak her mind.

What about Noah Michael Levine’s performance did you like?
Mr. Levine brings the male characters to life. I had no trouble picturing what Ranger, Max, and Jonathan may look like. He also adds the heat to the story that I probably wouldn't feel by reading the book myself. You get more of an emotional experience having someone read to you. When you read for yourself a lot of times it's more monotone. Our narrator also had me feeling as if I was missing something. Had me wondering if there was a story that should have come before - how these three men came to be. So he's given me a reason to check out more of our author's other paranormal series.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I didn't have an extreme reaction but it certainly got me hot. Mr. Levine has me feeling as if I'm standing off to the side as each scene is played out. Left me wanting more and not wanting this book to end. So looking forward to listening to more of Ms. Blevins' work.

Any additional comments?
Ms. Blevins and Mr. Levine are a perfect couple - they are perfect for each other. This is a story that will push boundaries. Both for the characters as well as for the reader/listener. If you're shy at having a person say certain words than I would suggest reading the book. But if you're up for a more seductive experience than you need to listen. There is a lot of graphic language but that just adds to who these people are and what they want.

At times I closed my eyes as the scene played out. I wanted to concentrate on the scene and see how it played out in my mind - didn't want the outside world to take my mind away from what Mr. Levine was reading. But I will tell you that it's not a book to listen to you when you are at work. This is when having the book is the better idea. So this means that this is one of those times where having both the book and the audio version is a good thing. Once I find out what other possible books can be connected with this one, I can see myself listening to this book again.

I voluntarily reviewed an Audiobook copy of this book.

**I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Candace Blevins. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it. **

I’m not sure if reverse harem stories are relatively new or just rising in popularity, but I’ve found that I very much enjoy them. “Acceptable Risk” was no exception! Seriously, how have I not come across Candace Blevins before? Her writing is excellent! And while I don’t generally enjoy the shifter thing, I have to admit that it definitely added a nice element in this case.

At first, I wasn’t sure how any character development or fleshing out was going to happen in under three hours, but Ms. Blevins surprised me. Bethany probably showed the most change, going from shy (though she knows what she likes) to handling three shifter men without pause. As a new werewolf still growing accustomed to the changes in his life, you’d think Mac would be aggressive or unpredictable, but he’s not. He was actually really sweet. Ranger was actually the most dominant, though I suppose this shouldn’t be surprising for an Alpha. Jonathan was something of a combination of Mac and Ranger, though as a wereleopard, he has his own personality and quirks.

Warning: “Acceptable Risk” has a little of everything in the sex department, from BDSM to dirty talk, and it was all very descriptive. If much of anything bothers you, this might not be a good choice for you. (Personally, dirty talk doesn't do it for me and there was a lot of it.)

Noah Michael Levine was an excellent narrator choice for “Acceptable Risk”. He voiced each character in such a way that they were easily discernable from one another without being over-the-top dramatic. At first, I found his pace to be a little fast, but that seemed to be just in the prologue. Going forward from there, his pace, tone, and performance were fabulous.

Bottom line: Though it’s a relatively short listen, a lot happened in those two hours! Don’t worry if you haven’t read the first two books; “Acceptable Risk” stood on it’s own quite well. I will definitely be reading/listening ot more by Candace Blevins and I highly recommend Noah Michael Levine as a narrator!

This was my first book by Candace Belvins and I am honestly wondering why I hadn't heard of her before. I actually listened to the Audiobook and it was so hot I think I have burns inside my ears. I will definitely be looking for more of her books.

Acceptable Risk is book 3 of the Chattanooga Supernaturals series. These books are stand alones. As I said this is my first book but I had no problems at all with starting on book and understanding what was going on. I do not have the full back story of each of the characters but there was just enough information on each one to introduce them sufficiently. This is a rather short book, but oh my was it hot.

In the book Bethany who is a once bit twice shy kind of girl has always joked if she were to settle down it would be with her own harem of men. One night in the bar she says to a friend she would like to have those 3 guys as a harem. Little does she know "those 3 guys" are shifters with super hearing. Mac is a recently turned werewolf and over hears Bethany, Ranger is the one who turned Mac, and Jonathan is a wereleopard.

Bethany gets a whole lot more then she bargains for as well as a future with not one but 3 loves of her life.

This book is filled with super hot sex, BDSM and more. If you are the least bit prudish you may not want to pick this book up. For the rest of us, RUN, get your copy and lock yourself in a room for a few hours.

The Audiobook is Narrated by Noah Michael Levine. He has doe a great job with all the character voices, even the female voice. He did not rush or drag the story out. He kept pace extremely well. He really made this book enjoyable for me.

The second time is even better then the first.
This book is part of the Chattanooga Supernaturals. It includes characters from the , the RTMC, the Only Human, and the Safeword series
I read all the books in those series some time ago, and now I'm coming back to enjoy them again.
That's why the opening sentences of Acceptable Risk felt like I was coming home, opening the door to the RTMC bar, and Duke and Brain were waiting for me at their table to welcome me.

Enter three Drake Security employees. Two wolf shifters and a panther on a night out. One of the wolfs is newly made and still unsure of his new circumstances. They are paying a courtesy visit to Duke, the Non-Alpha of the lone wolfs, to let their new wolf have a night in a safe environment.
Right from the beginning they spot a woman that appeals to all three of them. And pretty quick find out that she is very receptive to their advances.
What starts out as a one night stand, evolves into a steamy, no holds barred relationship.

In her inimitable sensuous style Ms Blevins takes us through the different approaches the three shifters bring to their lovemaking with Bethany, the lucky recipient of their attentions. Mac with his raw and volatile wolf wanting to be close to her, Jonathan with his feline grace and stealth, and last but not least Ranger, with his magical *wand*.
As always Ms Blevins ticks all the boxes for a well rounded, scorching hot story, situated snugly among her interconnecting series.
It was even more fun reading it the second time.
I volontarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

ACCEPTABLE RISK is the third book in the Chattanooga Supernaturals series. It does stand on its own, but I’m sure that it would be even better to know the previous stories. In fact, I’m told that this is one of three sister series and I’m sure I want to read all three series.

This is the first book I have read from this author. I hope it is not my last, especially as an audiobook. It was wonderful listening to this as I drove to and from work. Since it was just under three hours, it was a quick and steamy introduction to this ménage relationship and I hope they will be in more book books to come.

Bethany may not pick a favorite in her harem, but I might. First there is Mac. He is a new werewolf, growing accustomed to his new dual personality. He is calming and sweet. Then there is the Alpha, Ranger, who is a dominant in the bedroom. Finally, there is Jonathan, the wereleopard, who is also sweet in his own way, also alpha, and also dominant, but to a lesser degree…. Now which one would I pick? Together, they make a family. Because, after all, what is the definition of family, but love?

Note: while I was given this book as a gifted audiobook copy, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Bethany’s always wanted to settle down with a harem of men but she gets a bit more than she bargained for with Mac, Ranger and Jonathan in this smokin’ hot paranormal romance.

Bethany isn’t really looking for a relationship but she is looking for a really good time when she meets three sexy guys in Duke’s bar and the reader can’t help but get caught up in the sizzling passion and scorching hot sex scenes which include BDSM, m/f/m scenes. The chemistry between Bethany and the shifters burn up the pages with intense heat but the relationship building has a major obstacle – Bethany has some emotional issues that has her holding back and grips the readers by the heart. These strong compelling characters explode with sexuality and charisma while demanding the reader’s attention and the fast paced smooth flowing plot captivates readers with lots of suspense, passion and romance.

Adding even more tension and excitement, Mac is a new werewolf which keeps everyone on their toes and I have to say what a way to find out that shifters exist - I wouldn’t mind that at all and I am quite jealous. Vivid imagery brings the story to vibrant hot life while the expectation building events ensure that the reader can’t put the book down.

I was completely consumed by this story from beginning to end and I have to warn you that this story is so hot that you risk spontaneous combustion just by picking it up.

Short erotic novella is a great way to pass an evening. Ok maybe it would be better to be a part of it…but “be careful what you wish for” proves right for Bethany.

When you mix 3 men, who are also shapeshifters and one woman you get a hot poly group made for kink. Due to this being a novella everything develops pretty quickly and the characters don't have much time to grow on the reader but nevertheless they are well described and the reader can connect to them.

Bethany enjoys casual kinky sex but isn't ready to settle. But when all of a sudden, she meets 3 gorgeous men, her night is not as it used to be. We have a bit sadistic Dom Ranger, fun and sexy cat Jonathan and Max – newly turned wolf. So, there is the whole pack of hot, gorgeous and devoted men. She intends for one-night stand with them, but things turn up differently that she expected.
The author does her best explaining the world of shifters and their rules so this novella is ok to read stand alone. There is a tease and a glimpse to Chattanooga Supernatural world which you must read if you love paranormal erotica with great plot and amazing characters.

This really is a great novella - the writing is perfect, the characters are funny and each special, the plot is a bit expected but not less interesting because of it. The sex scenes are hot even though the BDSM is lighter than most of authors others bdsm books. The book is recommended for kinky readers who prefer lighter bdsm.

Acceptable Risk is a reverse harem / Ménage
1 Woman, 1 Leopard, and 2 Werewolves

This is the third book in the series but can be read or listen to as a standalone. Bethany wants to find love like her friends have, however she also wants her fantasy of three men all to herself. What happens when she says this in a bar and three sexy Shapeshifters overhear her? More than just one night of fun as Bethany anticipates. As the four bond and their relationship grows Bethany‘s insecurities and opinions that “all men cheat and lie” is put to the test by the three shifters who want to claim not just her body but her forever as their own. Sometimes it takes having our fantasy and then loosing it, to know what we truly want and need.
Candace Blevins writes any kink effortlessly with passion and heat that consumes you and this short story is no different. The character development and storyline are well rounded and made for a truly engaging Audio.
Noah Michael Levine is my go to narrator anytime I’m in the mood for PRN. His deep sexy voice had no problem melting my panties and keeping me invested in the story as he wove this tale. I was very impressed at his use of tenor and the nuances of his voice which allowed him to pull off all POV‘s without pulling me out of the story. I would definitely recommend this audio to anyone who loves PRN with a splash of kink.

~~ Gifted by the Author ~~

I can't even begin to tell you what I think of Candace Blevins, when I read Safeword Rainbow I was entirely captured. Each book that she as wrote brings a bit of her to the table, as it should. Acceptable Risk, was such a awesome read, I loved the characters and had so much for knowing that they weren't all new characters. Candace brought characters back that we knew previously.

If I had to pick a total Fav character it would be Johnathan, is quiet assurandness just did it for me. Each male Ranger, Mac and Jonathan were all close and different personalities but all had one goal.

Bethany such a sassy sweet female, she is quick to say what she wants and when she wants it. Even quicker to put her foot down and quicker yet to want to run. Her past experiences as left her gun shy and not very trusting of the male species.

Patience, care and understanding will play a big role in all four of their futures. Each of them have a bit of their own darkness to work through, but they have each other as well.

Yep hot smexy, squirm in your chair worthy scenes, touching a bit of BDSM, a lot olot of hot and passion. Loved that fact they all knew when and what to give, not just for Bethany but for themselves.

Enjoy.

Candace Blevins continues her streak in mixing BDSM, ménage and paranormal. The first two, she’s written about before, but adding paranormal is a new genre but one she has excelled at, make sure you check out the other current stories in other related series.

Bethany has always longed for what her friend Cassie has, a ménage and she decides that nothing but a harem of men will do for her. Well lucky for her, a shifter, who has excellent hearing overhears her and he and his buddies decide to make her dreams come true. Ranger, Jonathan and Mac certainly rock her world, but as in every relationship there are a few hurdles to cross. The sex scenes are very hot and everything and more that I would expect from the author. I felt Bethany’s frustration at wanting to keep them at arms-length but also wanting to get to know them better.

If anyone needed a happy ending, it was these four, they have all overcome so much in life. I really enjoyed Bethany’s story and really hope to visit with these bunch in upcoming books just to see how they are all doing together.

Bethany has seen her friend find love and happiness with her men and would love to have some men to fill her bed too. When she meets Mac at a bar, she gets her chance. His two friends Ranger and Jonathan join them too.

This is a really great menage story with paranormal elements as all three men are shifters. Mac is a new shifter and needs the help and support of his friends to keep him in control. He meets Bethany on his first trip out since the transition and falls for her fast. With their super hearing, the three know Bethany is very interested in them all.

The scenes between the three are really hot. The great thing for me is that there are also real feelings among them all. It makes it hotter to me when the author develops the characters and gives a real storyline and not just some sex scenes thrown together. They have issues to work thru as Bethany has some real concerns about being in a relationship.

This is my second book by the author and I am so glad I discovered her. I will definitely keep reading her books. Her MC series with wolf shifters is really great and I highly recommend it if you enjoy this book.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

FANTASY DO SOMETIMES COME TRUE AND LAST . . .
Overall 4 out of 5 stars
Performance 4 out of 5 stars
Story 4 out of 5 stars

Bethany had this super sexy hot desire to have her own harem. She just happens to say that in a bar one night not know that there were ears that could hear so much more than a simple whisper. Mac, Ranger, Jonathan are more than willing and ready to give this little vixen her deepest desire. But what if they want more. Bethany wants nothing more than one sex filled night of delightful fantasy and memories to carry her onward. One night of wild abandon turns in to secrets being let out and ties being made bonds being formed and so much more opened for the four of them involved. I loved getting my feet wet with Mac, Ranger, Jonathan and Bethany.

Narrator Noah Michael Levine made an impact with his voices. He gave perfect separation between the various male characters and the female for that matter. I loved listening to his voice. He made things feel more real that just reading from the page. The tone and diction/accents and pitch gave great audio listening.

Another terrific installment in the world of the Chattanooga Supernaturals, Candace Blevins does it again with Acceptable Risk. Bethany, Gen's best friend, finds what she didn't even know she was looking for with Ranger, Mac, and Jonathan, two werewolves and a wereleopard. Bethany doesn't do relationships, but she'd love to have a "harem" of men with which to indulge and the three are all for it. After a steamy, sexy night together, circumstances bring the group even closer and the story moves forward from there.

One thing I really liked about this book is that you can enjoy it without having read all of the other books in the three series (Only Human, Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club, and Chattanooga Supernaturals); if you have read them, however, the presence of already familiar characters only works to enhance the story. I love the world that Candace Blevins has created, and I'm looking forward to visiting it again soon!

I received a copy of this book from the author on Goodreads in exchange for an honest review.

“Acceptable Risk” is a novella length story by Candace Blevins and it’s a great read. Fans of her other stories won’t be disappointed in this short read, which packs an absolute punch in the hot and steamy front.

Really HOT. And decadently STEAMY.

If you enjoy your men on the alpha domly side with a healthy dose of kink, then Blevins is your author to read. The stories in the Chattanooga Supernaturals series can mostly be read as standalones, but getting to know the different characters in their own books is a bit like slowly meeting an extended family. Once you meet one or two, you want to know them all. And of course, then you’ll want to read about all the men of the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club. Fair-warned.

Since this is a shorter story involving one female and three males, it’s heavier on the sex and kink (trust me, that’s a good thing), so if things like that bother you, then don’t read this story. Otherwise, loved all the character interactions. The different personalities and how Bethany seems to be such an ideal fit for them.

First of all I LOVE Candace's books and this was no exception. Bethany had been hurt in the past and didn't Do relationships, but seeing her friend with her guys had her wanting a harem of her own, at least for one night. At a bar she sees 3 men and is instantly attracted to them. They all talk and dance and kiss ( oh my) and agree to the night. Oh and did I mention the men were shifters? Love how they want more and she came to realize she did as well. Each one brings something to her life. There is plenty of hot sex, some BDSM elements as well as four people falling for each other.. I look forward to reading more of her books !!!

This is a paranormal ménage book and my first read from this author… it will definitely not be my last. Human Bethany meets shifters Mac, Ranger and Jonathan in a bar and is immediately attracted to all of them. She’s not looking for a relationship but she is looking for a good time so she heads home with them for the night. Will one night turn into more? This book is part of a series but I read it as a stand-alone and that was fine since it was the first time Bethany, Mac, Ranger and Jonathan met. I will be adding the whole series to my must read list. Super hot sex makes this a steamy read. A quick read but still a good length to introduce us to these characters. Can’t wait to see what the future has in store for these four.

I discovered that this was part of a series when I started the book and the side characters were so prominent. I will be looking for, and reading, all the books that tie into this one.
I loved this story. It was short and sweet, and full of heat, humor, emotion, wonderful characters, and shifters. What more could a person want in a romance? There was the human, the Leopard, the seasoned Wolf, and the newly-turned Wolf. Together they make up a wonderful "harem", as Bethany refers to wanting. This is a novella, so there isn't a ton of character development, but I get the sense that there is more in other books. I was intrigued enough, like I said, to want to read more of this world.

Menage with PNR and a twist of BDSM - perfect! And the Hs were perfect, strong males who form a close bond, as they help Mac and great for Jonathan. He was a favourite from The Dragon King. The h was not so nice, and I didn't like that she considered meeting up with another man. I think I know why she considered it too - she didn't get what I didn't get. The bond was steamy but I didn't feel any love between the h and her men. This was a convenient, steamy menage but it didn't feel very loving. So the h and I were both disappointed. What I did like were the steamy scenes. Perhaps we will get a glimpse of these people falling in love in a follow up book?
