Hilarious, edgy and fun! Ms. Jones takes us into an unapologetic world that's exciting and fun and truly reflective of teen-life. It's a dog-eat-dog world out there and her characters learn to face it head on. And at the same time, she takes the superhero dynamic and turns it around. She makes you root for the bad guys -- and that's a-okay! It's fun and fresh in our overly saturated world of superheroes and I can't wait for the 2nd book. Great pace.

I love her main characters and she gives great strength to her main female character which makes me praise this book. Pick it up!

The literal incarnation of the 'anti-hero' story - it's villains all day long. The author teases the YA angle but every time you think it's going to go down the beaten path of romance and cheese she blows up a building or drops a revelation, so the tale moves along with a determined pulse under a slick layer of snark. It's a fun read.
