A biography of St Francis

Factual, biographical account of the great St Francis of Assisi's life and work. Easy read, no great Theological musings or agendas, simply portraying the story of Francis from Historical documents, legends and lore.

It's inspirational to read of someone so committed to loving and obeying God that nothing else in the world mattered to him. Embracing poverty, asceticism and personal austerity as a way of life, and being fully dependent on God for provision and guidance to live in true community and love others genuinely is a challenge that speaks volumes to me.

Invigorating read.

A little too factual and topical rather than written like a story but great blend of faith and fact and understanding of the man and Christ.
