Two Wrongs, One Right

Rate this book
A sexy category romance from Entangled's Brazen imprint...

Revenge is a dish best served with him on top.

Eight years ago, former Army sergeant Nathan Schultz let the love of his life disappear without a fight. After watching everyone around him find happiness while he slipped further away, he’s finally ready to fight for Chelsea Callaghan—and he’s not afraid to play dirty.

Chelsea has always followed her conservative family’s rules—with one heartbreaking exception. When she receives an invitation to an old high school friend’s wedding, she knows who’s to blame. Though she goes solely to give Nathan a piece of her mind, he blackmails her into staying the entire week. With him.

There’s no way she’ll bow to Nathan’s will without making him pay. Unfortunately, revenge is a dish best served fully clothed, and they can’t be in the same room without losing theirs. As insatiable, anger-fueled lust shifts into something more, they begin to lose sight of why they can’t be together. But with so many unforgivable wrongs between them, can Nathan and Chelsea ever make things right?

I’m a sucker for a story where a couple gets back together especially when it’s the guy trying to when the girl back. As much as I wanted to root for Nathan and Chelsea, I couldn’t. I was annoyed by both of them and would have been more than happy if they called it quits.

I may not have been in the right frame of mind when I read Two Wrongs, One Right. I’ve been in a contemporary romance funk and have been more than annoyed by the recent books I’ve read. I’m sure if I was in a different mood, maybe I would have liked this book more. Or maybe not.

Another couple that are in their 20s but at least their in their late 20s this time. Nathan and Chelsea get married at the age of 18. Nathan immediately joins the Army and leaves Chelsea behind to deal with the fall out from her parents. This part I didn’t understand. I thought her parents knew she was married but apparently they were only pissed because Chelsea was dating Nathan who they deemed not good enough for their daughter. Fast forward 8 years and Nathan’s older brother, Gabe, is getting married. Nathan sends a wedding invitation to Chelsea. Chelsea accepts and sees this as the perfect opportunity to deliver divorce papers to Nathan. And here’s where I start having problems.

In the age of the internet and Google, why did Chelsea wait 8 years to file for divorce?? If she’s so butthurt about Nathan deserting her and worried about her Dad’s reaction to her secret marriage, she should have had those divorce papers delivered years ago. But to wait 8 years? And same goes for Nathan. Once I finished the book, I still couldn’t understand why they both let so much time pass without doing a damn thing about their marriage. Were they just gonna go through life being married to each other?

Another thing that bothered me was that neither one of them slept with another person the entire 8 years and yet Chelsea is an expert at blow jobs and Nathan is a borderline Dom; spanking asses and issuing commands. What the hell? I mean, Chelsea didn’t even self pleasure herself during the entire 8 years! That’s not normal. We all have needs whether you satisfy them yourself or you find someone to do it for you. That bothered me. It seemed so unrealistic. I’m sure the author was going for ‘ahhh how romantic’ but I was more like ‘that’s cheesy’.

Overall Two Wrongs, One Right was a good story but not great. The issues that I had with Nathan and Chelsea prevented me from fulling enjoying the story.

Second chance romance after getting secretly married right out of high school but separated almost immediately, now eight years later and the MMC decides out of nowhere it's time to just invite his estranged wife to his brothers wedding? Why now? I need a reason! Especially since they've both been hung up on each other (and celibate) during that entire time. So frustrating and unnecessary.

3.5 ⭐

The premise of this was pretty weak, like who gets married and then disappears from his/her spouse for 8 years without getting divorced or something?!
BUT, once you make peace with this (and make it like 6 months instead of 8 years in your mind) the book gets enjoyable and the problems and fussiness of both MC sound reasonable.
At the end I really liked reading this 🧡

This is book #3 from the Come Undone series following 3 different love stories from related MCs. I found the first two books to be more on the funny side, while this is more serious just because the characters are already married and there wasn't an "OMG I just slept with the wrong (Right) person" moment.
Also the MMCs shine on this series, they're all sweethearts. As for the MFCs, I haven't found them to be super relatable, I didn't really see myself being them or thinking like them much.

Now there's #4 left, which should be an even shorter novella.
See you on the other side!

Disappointed in this one. I really enjoyed the first two but this one just didn't do it for me.
Eight years? Really? In eight years they were both celibate? That's too unrealistic. No they were so hurt they lost them self in strangers? Or hey what about they just not seeing each other and remain celibate for like two years? Ur not going to remain celibate for that long if u firmly believe you will never be together again.
I felt there chemistry wasn't there. The two previous had me rooting for a HEA. This one I just didn't really feel it. The emotion felt almost flat.

Oh boy, was I anxious for this book! I really liked Nathan from the first book in the series and was anxious to know more about him. TWO WRONGS, ONE RIGHT was sexy, yet sweet too. It was the perfect weekend read!

Nathan is tough. He's a bit mysterious and good lord is he sexy. One of the things I loved the most about him, was that he's a multidimensional person. He's this military guy, but he's also an artist. He intrigued me. I also loved the fact that he never gave up on his true love. Even after the heart break of losing her years ago, he's determined to win her back. I loved that he wasn't afraid or too tough to tell her how he felt. He made it very clear that he never stopped loving her and that he wanted her back. He won me over right away.

Chelsea has lived under a microscope. Her father is a politician who has certain expectations of his daughter. Nathan never fit into that mold. But, Chelsea followed her heart and married him anyway. The problem was that she gave up on their relationship too easily. They were young, she didn't understand his sudden decision to enlist, and she felt confused and lonely. Not only did she run, but she hid. She didn't want Nathan to find her too easily. Now, her father is on the brink of an election and she needs to end her secret marriage to Nathan as quietly as possible. That's why she agrees to go to the wedding. I also think she wanted to go, because she missed him and really never stopped loving him. It's not easy to refuse Nathan's seduction and she quickly falls under his spell. Their sexy scenes were passionate and left me needing some cool down breaks!

Overall, TWO WRONGS, ONE RIGHT was a quick, steamy read that I really enjoyed. I'm definitely a fan of this series. It was great to see Elle and Gabe and my favorite couple, Ian and Roxanne! I always love seeing what everyone is up to. I also loved meeting Chelsea's friend, Danielle. I wish she could get a book! She made me laugh. I'm pretty certain this is the last book in the series, but it certainly won't be my last Katee Robert book! She's made a fan out of me!

Quotes:

"And I don't even know why we're having this conversation. You should be naked and climbing him like a tree. If that isn't the best way to get him out of your system, I don't know what is." Danielle eyed the rumpled bed. "Or maybe that's exactly what you've been doing."-Loc 752

~Nathan watched her walk down the hall. "Your friend just pinched my ass."

So, um, once I compose myself I will give the book the review it so rightly deserves. But for now, I must go fan myself for a while ;) And yes Katee Robert, Nathan gets 5 huge WHOAs!

PSA: Keep a pillow close by. My jaw hit the ground so hard I cracked a few tiles.

Ok, now that I can breathe (eight paper bags and six glasses of cold iced tea later), this book is fantastic. Katee Robert can write the heck out of a steamy romance. Nathan is just not who I expected. THANK GOODNESS! Who knew he was the REAL bad boy in the Schultz family? (Sorry Gabe, I still love you!) No wonder sweet conservative Chelsea couldn't forget him. I’m STILL blushing 24 hours later!

First off, I love that the back drop for the story is Gabe and Elle’s wedding. Yay! They get their HEA! I love seeing characters I’ve already grown to love. Now onto the starring couple.

Nathan lures his estranged wife Chelsea to his big brother's wedding. His plan? To win her back. Her plan? To get him to sign divorce papers. Unfortunately even the best made plans don't always work out.

Nathan thinks he can seduce Chelsea. What he doesn't expect is for his sweet shy wife to turn the tables on him. Let the hot, sexy games begin! From the moment these two make eye contact the heat if off the charts. Whether or not they work things out or walk away, you just know that there’s going to be some spicy “closure” in the bedroom.

Poor Chelsea, as hard as she tries to get the upper hand it’s almost impossible with the King of Dirty Talk. She puts up a good fight, but unfortunately it just excites Nathan even more. Seeing his adorable, naïve, high school sweetheart grow into a sexy empowered woman makes him more determined to work things out.

After a few mind-blowing, passion-filled moments the two finally have a heart to heart. Once the truth about the estrangement is out in the open they decide to give it another shot. But don’t think things will be easy for them. Chelsea still has to deal with her ultra-conservative, running-for-senator Dad. Will they make it through the obstacles ahead? Or will they cut their losses and move on? You’ll have to read the book to find out. Just make sure you keep a cold drink close by!

Top 5 WHOA!?! moments:

#1- Nathan discussing what he’d like to do to Chelsea at dinner (there’s some leg looping and gawking involved).
#2 - How Nathan wakes Chelsea up in the morning
#3 – A little “playing” around in a canoe
#4 – Did they really do THAT by the altar for the upcoming nuptials?
#5 – The “I trust you” make-up sex

The plot was convoluted and extremely confusing. The hero leaves the heroine after getting secretly married at 18. He rationalizes it by saying he needed the money but then said he thought she wanted him to go away when she clearly begged him on her knees no less to not leave her with her super controlling family. I think people read these books for the smut but i hate to say this, the smut wasn't anything special either. It was generic and all and not worth the money imo.

recensione a cura del blog "Libri Magnetici" by Anna R.

I accidentally read this book after mistaking it for Two Wrongs Make a Right by Chloe Liese. This book was not very good, and I like Katee Robert’s Dark Olympus series. Nathan is an insufferable prick, and Chelsea is a a bit of a pushover. I think the reason I disliked this so much is that a very similar situation happened to a close friend of mine, down to her boyfriend enlisting without telling her.

Two Wrongs, One Right is the story of Chelsea and Nathan, a couple with some history between them. When Chelsea receives an invitation to Gabe’s wedding, who is Nathan’s brother, she sees it as an opportunity to resolve some old feelings. She goes with the intent of closure. Silly silly girl. When confronted with the hotness that is Nathan, nothing will be closed.

I enjoyed this book because it was packed full with hot sex. The storyline of the story did not grab me as much, and at times I felt the sheer quantity of sex between Nathan and Chelsea seemed opposed to the storyline. Chelsea was going to the wedding to specifically to see Nathan and end their history together. But no sooner does she get there then they are getting it on.

Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing I love more than some hot nookie in my books. I love it. And this book is definitely HOT. Nathan and Chelsea are inventive and intense. At times Nathan is a bit Dominant, and we all know that makes me swoon. But Chelsea doesn’t back down, and I love that too. But I felt there was just too much sex, it was in direct opposition to her goal. It actually brought my opinion down of Chelsea, because as soon as Nathan dangled dirty talk in front of her, she forgot all of her initial intentions. So by the end, Chelsea felt kind of wishy washy.

Nathan’s grin was downright wolfish. “Oh, I don’t know about that. You’ve been here less than an hour and you’re already practically begging me to kiss you.” His gaze dropped to her mouth, and it was everything she could do not to lick her lips. “It’s okay, baby. You don’t have to beg. I’m more than willing to kiss every single fucking inch of you.”

Now, Nathan, on the other hand, I liked. He began by being devious with the right reasons behind it, and he stayed that way the whole way through. He played dirty. He knew what his girl wanted deep down, and he gave it to her. He was hard hitting, and he drove his point home.

The rest of the story? Meh. It didn’t do much for me. Chelsea comes from a straight-laced political high brow family. They control everything in her life, it seems. But they don’t truly know her, or appreciate her. Nathan’s family is close and tight-knit, the way a family should be. Even after losing the matriarch, his mother, they are still held together like glue. That’s the kind of familial situation I like to see in books.

Overall, I enjoyed the story. It was easy to read, and nothing really tore me up. Like I said, the naked times were sexy as hell. The rest of the story, was alright. It wasn’t bad, by any means, just not what I had hoped for. I say give it a shot. From what I understand, the rest of the series is pretty terrific, and I liked this installment enough that I would be willing to read the rest.

Story of Nathan and Chelsea who meet at his brother's wedding after not seeing each other for 8 years. Turns out they're married... they got married back in high school (and I'm still not clear why) but then he, without telling her, enlists in the Army and leaves. And now we wants her back.

Chelsea seems to be dominated by her politico parents who do not approve of her life -- she's an artist and owns her own gallery which displays nudes! Shocking! (not). I really just rolled my eyes. This chick is supposed to be 25 or so and has no backbone. I hate characters like that. I could have tolerated her better had I understood her backstory or motivations. There were none here.

This is book 3 in a series... which I promptly forgot about when I picked this up to finally read it. I've been wavering as to weather or not this was a problem. I felt a little like I got thrust into a story where the only people who know the back story are the author and the two main characters. I was confused about what was going on a lot of the time. There are elements the author tried to introduce to get these two together... but it felt forced. I hope this series is over.

This is a hot one.

I was super excited to read this story because we finally got to find out what makes Nathan Shultz tick and wow I was not prepared for what came out.

There is so much chemistry between the two main characters Nathan and Chelsea, that my kindle was getting hot. The struggle for power between the two, is both hot and fun, as each fight for control but manage to loose it every single time. Look out for a pair of vibrating panties, that Nathan and Chelsea certainly make the most of.

The author managed to inject humour, sensuality, hot sex and great characters in a storyline that sucks you in from the first and doesn't relent till you reach the end.

This is the 3rd book in the series, but each can be read as a stand alone. I would recommend putting aside a weekend and indulging in all three books, you will not regret it as soon as you meet the brothers Shultz and Ian.

The publisher supplied a copy of this book for a honest review.

I get tons of reading pleasure from Katee Robert’s writing style; it is erotic and captivating. Readers of the series are aware that she has put out some scorching stories so far in this series, and this is no exception. I have been waiting on Nathan’s story since the release of the first book, Wrong Bed, Right Guy.

The author did a splendid job of pacing this second-chance. I admired her capacity to realistically advance the admiration between Nathan and Chelsea instead of rushing toward the conclusion.

I really liked the premise for this one, it was a really sweet story and made me think about how much time & chances are wasted due to misunderstandings. We could learn a lot from these books. I thought they made a great couple, they had great chemistry and there were some super charged moments that turned the heat up. I liked the little power play they had going on but she gave in far too easily in my opinion. It was good that we finally got to know more about Nathan who has appeared in both of the previous books and see what had been troubling him. These books are a great way to spend a couple of hours with great characters, romance & sexytimes.... perfect for a HEA fix and such an easy read.
Chelsea's friend, Danielle's story is up next, we meet her in this & she leaves a definite impression that has me looking forward to her story, to see what mischief will follow her.

second chance romance with a twist that they're actually married but have been living separately for like 8 yrs or something. they got married at like 18. the premise is sketch. ML signed up for the military because he was having man feelings and grief over losing his mom and FL was so mad she ran back home to her family that treats her like crap. the blurb for this story is misleading, there's no revenge and no blackmail. there's a bit of spanking but nothing going into super freaky freaknik territory. the only thing that kept them apart was them not communicating. bleh.

Recensione

Consigliato

I really wanted to like this book. I generally enjoy Katee Roberts as an author. However, this book has some major issues and inspired some irrationally angry feelings within me. To start, there was absolutely no character development on the love interest side, despite the desperate need for some-, it was incredibly frustrating. Most of the issues in the relationship seemed to be blamed on the main character, which I didn’t think was entirely fair.
The whole issue and the reason she left this guy was because he made major life decisions without talking to her. And guess what he does at the end of the book? THE SAME THING! And SHE apologizes to him!?! What the heck! I was rooting for her when she was saying things like, “you can’t keep doing this, I can’t do this again” I was like, yes girl, you’re right! And in the end, he DOESN’T come to this big realization that, “oh shit, I did it again! I made a major decision without talking to my wife!” All of this is put on the main character not seeing how he’s changed, but the thing is, he hasn’t changed and she was right to be mad at him again.
Anyways wouldn’t recommend this book: no character development and frustrating love interest.

This series was great. My only complaint is it's yet another author with so many inconsistencies amongst their books. Please if you're going to write a series KEEP NOTES.
In Book 1 Roxanne pushed Elle to believe Gabe loved her and they could be happy.
In Book 2 Roxanne constantly argues with Ian that ggeres no such thing as love and HEA even quoting divorce stats.
Also I Book 2 Ian keeps calling Gabe (his BEST FRIENDS BROTHER) a thug based on looks only BUT a couple chapters later he constantly says he of all people know never to judge a book by its cover.
In Book 1 Gabe talks about their rough upbringing and after their mom died, before Nathan joined the army, they discovered their dad had died and they'd inherited a fortune.
In Book 3 Nathan says he joined the army for the money. Even bought Chelsea a vending machine wedding band. If his only excuse for joining the army was money then there was absolutely NO NEED. So he's lying to her.

If you can get past inconsistencies, then you'll be fine. But to this author and all others......... KEEP NOTES because it's frustrating

womp womp. this one just super did not work for me. second chance is really not my favourite trope, but it's pretty much unavoidable when you read series and like to read them in order.. otherwise i'd skip all the second chances all the live long day. though, sometimes they are done well and considering i liked the first 2 books in this series, i had high hopes for this one. but i just didn't like it. i didn't like the story, the characters, nothing. 8 years is a long time and though i loved that they both stayed celibate, i found it hard to believe, especially because they were basically children when they got married. it's definitely a bummer because i liked this first two but this one really didn't work for me and i was pretty bored. i have the next one and a few other katee robert books so i'll still give them a go and hope this one was just a bad apple.

I'm glad I gave Katee Robert a second chance by reading this book.
I own books 1, 3 and 4 in this series, and really didn't like Wrong Bed, Right Guy.
I loved Nathan, I liked him from book one, however, I wasn't a huge fan of Chelsea.
Again this story line really isn't my style of writing, but it wasn't as bad as the 1st book .
I'm not giving up on this author just yet, I will give her another shot, after looking thru her website and reading other series she has written, the books look good, but you can't judge a book by it's cover. That said I'm not rushing to read her other books either.

Really didn’t live up to its potential, I found too much of this book too far fetched. It feels like paragraphs are written out of order and then not edited at all? They go from him sitting next to the bath with her in the bath, to him hugging her and spinning her around, to her being back in the bath?

Then in the final chapters he proposes and then in the next paragraph there is mention of a pregnancy test and they say they haven’t used protection since Elle and Gabe’s wedding - but the wedding was the last time they saw each other?? Maybe a chapter missing on kindle version but it feels sloppy.

I went back to check what I had rated the previous two books and I wasn't surprised that I had rated them two stars each. This one is going to get two stars as well. The plot was so confused and convoluted that it's hard to wrap your head around how this could have led to an HEA. The chemistry between the two in present day was hardly believable since they had spent so much time apart and were so young when they split up. The way they worked through their emotions and misunderstandings (especially Chelsea) was so tortured it made you wonder if they really should be together.

A nice second chance romance. Robert's writing is solid, as always, though the ending seems a little too wrapped up in a neat package. I think I would have liked to see Nathan realising where he screwed up the second time, rather than read about it after the fact. We got to see Chelsea's "ah ha!" moment, and I think that makes a stronger emotional impact.

Also, unlike in Robert's books, sometimes there really is only one person at fault for a relationship not working. I would like for that to be addressed in a future book or three.

I decide to finish this series now because I didn't really like Nathan's character in Gabe's and Ella's book so I wanted to give myself a few months to forget the details. The thing is that I liked the story and the smut here but I still didn't like Nathan. I mean seriously? The guy just does things without talking to his wife for God's sake. The ENLISTED and left his wife but was surprised when she left in that time. I would do the same thing, she literally begged him not to go. And then he does the same thing with her father. All he had to do was talk to her about it. That's it.
