This book of series by James Patterson and Lisa Papademetriou is written in first person, perspective of Georgia Katchadorian. From the book before of THE WORST YEARS OF MY LIFE Rafe was a naughty student who broke rules.
Now this time the smart and well-behaved Georgia goes to Hills Village Middle School. From the first day and onwards, she is mistreated and considered the same as Rafe for being the "KHATCHADORIAN SPECIES!" Most of the teachers and students believe that Georgia is and will be the same as Rafe. However, Georgia believes that she can prove to everyone that she is different! But the teachers don't give her a chance and will give her a GRADE B and not A or give detention for having the last name KHATCHADORIAN.
This is not the only problem, she has friendship problems with Missy! Who is a "PRINCESS" She is a bully and believes that she is the only one right and is the best.
At the end, things get better with Georgia having a best friend called Rhonda. Her family secret is also revealed!!! Rafe is not her BLOODLY-RELATED. GEORGIA IS ADOPTED! Her grandma leaks the clues, and at the end her mum ends up telling her the truth. Anyway, they live as a happy family, believing that genes don't matter. It is the love and care that matters for a family to be family.
My favourite character is the main character Georgia Katchadorian, I like her personality. She is courageous and bold. Georgia trries to prove her difference to Rafe. I enjoyed reading this book because of the drama it talks about and compares to my middle school experience. From this book, I learnt to never underestimate people. The outside, status and appearance is not always the answer to who they are!

Middle School: My brother is a big, fat liar is about a girl named Georgia Khatchadorian and she is starting sixth grade at Hills Village Middle School and her brother Rafe went there and when he was there he was on a mission to break every rule in the Hills Village Middle School rule book. He tried that but failed, because he got expelled before he could break all the rules. Therefore when Georgia goes to Hills Village Middle School every teacher thinks that she is going to be exactly like Rafe, but she is NOTHING like her brother. When Georgia's first day going there she has a very hard time making friends. Through out the entire book Georgia only makes 2 friends, Sam and Rhonda. Sam is Georgia's crush and Rhonda was just some random girl that started following her around. Eventually Hills Village is having a sixth grade dance and Sam asked Georgia if she would dance with him and Georgia said yes but right before Georgia went to the dance her mom told her a very important secret which I cannot tell you because that would ruin the book for you, but I would recommend this book to anyone who likes comics and an entertaining story.
This book is about when a Can her first year of middle school possibly be the worse for Georgia a smart, kind, creative girl known for good grades than it was for her older brother Rafe who set out to break every rule in the student handbook. Then it gives it a story from elementary to middle school. So in this story it takes place in the first year of middle school and her first year there she has a lot to conqueror and challenges that await her and her older brother Rafe. He is a rule breaker and doesn't follow anything anyone tells him. Also he will do anything even if he get's expelled from his middle school. Cause he is a 8th grader at his middle school. All in all, I liked this book because it was pretty funny and had a lot of funny moments.
Interesting. I finished it reluctantly (because I'm for sure going to read book four [but will probably stop there]) but am glad I did. It was annoying, irritating, (seemingly) cliched, more annoying, and then, at the end (beyond the big reveal), impressive. There's a whole "how did they do that?" reaction, a "where did that come from?" Not saying it's the best book ever, or executed a huge literary mind-fuck, but definitely a bit more thought-provoking than expected, and more original. These books are not as stupid as they look.
Another hilarious story from the Middle School series! But this time, we get to see the story through Georgia’s perspective which is highly relatable. I loved how she would try to do well in HVMS but Rafe’s notorious rule- breaking personality would stop her from excelling but in the end she does manage to survive middle school😅 Also, many things linked to the other events that occurred in the other books in this series which was really nice. For example, I was so surprised when Jeanne Galleta reappeared! Or when Rafe’s enemy’s younger brother was in HVMS with Georgia. I liked the new addition of extra characters, especially Rhonda with her extremely loud voice!
Overall, Middle School: My Brother Is A Big Fat Liar is a wonderful book and I would recommend it to everyone of all ages!
This book is a really cool book. I like how you can see the point of view of Rafe's sister Georgia and Rafe himself in his other books. It's pretty funny and it's a decent read. I would recommend it to kids ages 7-13. All of you should read it
It was just a light hearted quick read for me. I liked seeing things from Rafe's sister's perspective. Usual brother sister rivalry and trying to outlive the previous siblings reputation at a new school.
My Brother is a Big Fat Liar is all about Georgia and her trouble making brother, Rafe. Georgia is very smart and witty young girl. Her brother is the complete opposite. Rafe has recently switched schools and Georgia will be attending his old school. When she gets there she declares that she will be a king at this school. When she gets there she realizes how hard it is going to be to replace Rafe’s black marks with her gold. If that isn’t bad enough Rafe sneakily signs up her musically ungifted band to perform at their school dance. Can her band of misfits do it? Will she ever become the teachers pet like she wants to?
James Patterson showed insight into the struggles of a new middle school student and her struggles to fit in. I rated this book four stars because I liked how nothing was over exaggerated and the characters were very believable. The only thing that I did not like was how the story line would start in one place and skip around a lot then get back to that story line forty pages later.
Pretty good book. I like to see the book from a different perspective and still include the main context in the series. I liked the part where rafe and his family go to his grandmas house and leaves the school; it’s exciting to see rafe and his sister mainly to have a different experience. Overall, I’d recommend this book to anyone really, but maybe mostly 10 - 14 yr olds since there are funny humour parts others may not find as funny. My rating on this book: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
From blockbuster author James Patterson comes the third installment in the #1 New York Times bestselling Middle School series!
Georgia Khatchadorian--the sister of the star of the first two Middle School books, Rafe Khatchadorian--plans to excel at Hills Village Middle School in all the places her trouble making brother failed. She's even bet him that she'll quickly become one of the most popular girls in school. But Rafe left a big mark at HVMS, and no one will give Georgia a chance!
Read this book with my son, who mind you just started middle school. So I thought the title and book, was in it's self a great read. I enjoyed the little side draws, in which gave my son a good laugh. The story about a young person trying to figure out who they are. And the ups and downs, that come along with that journey. The book was well written for a younger crowd. So they book was never boring. Which is a plus, for any parent with a picky reader.
Highly recommended for children who enjoy books, like the diary of a wimpy kid.
Middle School my brother is a big fat liar is about Rafe's sister Georgia's first year of middle school. Georgia is in a band with 3 other girls from Rafe's school, Nanci, Mari, and Patti. Georgia is having troubles with 3 mean girls at school named Missy, Brittany, and Bethany. They always make fun of what she's wearing and how she limps. Georgia's teachers won't give her a chance to show them that she is not Rafe and that she is a good student. I would recommend this book to anyone with a sense of humor and anyone who likes books with pranks. I thought this book had a valuable lesson in it. I thought the valuable lesson in this book was to stand up for yourself and to not let other people push you around.
I loved this book. I think that this book is very funny and is a good book to read for fun. I would recommend this book to my friends because it has a lot of hummer. If you like comedy books than I think that you would love this book.
This book is about this girl named Georgia and she is about to go to middle school where her brother went. Her brother is named Rafe, and he was horrible. He would skip classes, he would talk back to every one, and he would do much more. All of the kids hated him there and he makes every one think that Georgia is going to be just like him.
Georgia Khatchadorian wants to make friends in HVMS (Hills Village Middle School) and be the more popular kid in the school, but her brother Rafe left her a big problem, not body would give her a chance to get a good grade or even nobody wants to be her friend. So, she prepare she self for her band performance because she through that if she would do good then more people will like her. Then, Georgia performed very well and the three queen that were bossing her around worn't queens anymore but Georgia was a queen now. Middle School: My Brother is a Big Fat Liar is about Forgiving, hate, and love.
This book is really good and it brings laughter to me. This book can relate to other people who are attending middle school because of the embarrassing moments and hard decisions that are made. I like this book a lot and it's very funny and interesting and oddly weird but still entertaining. I recommend this book for people who are in middle school and want to read about something fun, interesting, weird, and funny.
Middle School:My Brother Is a Big, Fat Liar is about the sister of Rafe, Georgia(from the previous Middle School book) tells about how Rafe caused her to have the beginning of her 6th grade horrible side he tried to break every rule of the school. Now the teachers believe she is the same as Rafe. She continues to share her problems and until her mom tells the secret that would change everything for her. Want to know the secret, then read Middle School:My Brother Is a Big Fat Liar.
Georgia Katchadorian the sister of Rafe Katchadorian started school in HVMS. All that Georgia wanted was to be a popular girl in school. But, nobody likes Georgia because she is the sister of the trouble maker. So Georgia tries her best to make friends. Then she became friends with a not so popular girl called Rhonda. This book is about perseverance, being yourself and finding the right friend.
As if I could love James Patterson any more!!! It is amazing the versatility he shows with his YA book series and I am head over heels in love with it. What better way for a teacher to create life long readers than to introduce students to an author that they can grow with all the way into adulthood? I have loved reading this series and my students follow my lead.
1. I like it better than Rafe's stories that I read before 2. Even if she is annoying, I kinda liked Rhonda 3. The characters felt so natural (what is this even?) 4. There are several chapters that felt forced, I cannot pointed it out because...spoiler 5. Probably worth reading for those who love Dork Diaries
I think that this book was very interesting because instead of writing the story in her brothers perspective they did it in the sisters to kind of switch it. I thought it was very funny and that i can relate to it.
The characters are Rafe, Mom, Grandma, Georgia. Its about Georgia life at Hills Village middle school how Rafe made it hard for her because his bad reputation. I conclude that Georgia will love Hills Village in 7th grade.
I thought this book was great. I love this series too. I like how the author put the book in a different person's point of view. This time, it's in Rafe's sister's point of view, not Rafe's.
This book is mainly about Georgia ( The main character ) and Georgia’s brother Rafe’s life. Georgia does not like her brother because of 3 reasons. 1. He is always being really mean to Georgia. 2. He always lie to her. 3. Because of his naughty behavior the school thinks that Georgia is also that naughty so everyone doesn’t really like Georgia. So that is why she hates his brother.
Georgia is in a band group with her friends. But when Rafe heard their music he thought that they stink. he told that band group to make their group name, “ We Stink.” Georgia didn’t really mind, but it led them to a massive problem. Because of Rafe Georgia had a hard time in school. For example the school princess basically bullied her because she is Rafe’s sister.
I would probably suggest this book to someone that likes series and someone that likes the genre Adventure.
I think that this book is very god and fun to read because of the plot because its about Rafe sister Georgia and about how she goes to his old school and because of her brothers reputation she has a rough time getting through her school days because a lot of the kids at school and the teachers think that she will act like her brother and make trouble. I really don't think that I can change anything to make it better because the book was pretty amazing on its own so no i don't wanna change anything about the book. I gave the book five stars because of the plot of the whole book and the fact that it could possibly relate to a lot of people.
I felt like Georgia is pretty nice...well I guess not so bad not so good either.I got a little mad, when the people at HVMS thought she was just like her brother Rafe but like no Rafe is much worse.:))).I really didn't see it coming when her mother told her she was adopted. But She is part of the Katchadorian family even though she's adopted.Well at least Georgia and Rafe were nice too each othe rat the end well not in the very end they were normal like fighting in the very end. So,I think this book is pretty neat.
Ok, let me tell you this a biased book review because my favorite character of the book series is Rafe not Georgia, so when Georgia got the book in her point of view it went downhill for me personally. Though, I did love the BIG twist we learned about Georgia. A really good book overall, that I think kids any age should read!💕🤓😃🙃😜😜
