This volume was utter sh*t. I'm sorry but it was so disappointing I can't write down my feelings about it. The volume started rather confusing and I didn't know what I found so confusing, so I read this novel very slowly.
Also I won't lose any words regarding Godou's romances, they are childish and stupid. Like any other Japanese light-novel of the same genre.
At the middle of the novel events start to clear my confusion by making often flash-backs. Finally I began to understand the story and it's events, that happened prior the beginning of the book.
What pains me the most (and because of it such a low rating) is the lack of any character development. It's very enfuriating to read about a character and after +/- 3600 pages, the character doesn't even change, still the same thinking and even after so many battles and female encounters, stays the same pre-pubescent idiot.
Anyway, in the later half of the light-novel, Godou thinks something among the lines: "Well this is going to be my first fight on my own. I can't rely on my companions for ever." And I thought: "Oh my god, is that a character development? Is this finally the time were Godou shines on his own?". Well I knew better and at some point expected the arrival of his female companions.
Also this isn't going to affect the rating so much, but I have to write it. I'm reading this series fan-translated to English from Baka-tsuki, and this volume was so badly edited that I almost threw my kindle into a wall.
