I was trying to think of a super amazing story to share about my life, but as I sat here and thought, I realized that I didn’t have one. I’m just plain old Danielle, a girl from Detroit, Michigan with big dreams and a passion for writing. I was raised in a two parent home and to me, both my mother and father were simply AMAZING! Writing is my life! I go to sleep thinking about my characters and I wake up thinking about my plot. When I craft my novels, I shoot for growth. I ask myself “How am I going to outdo myself this time?”. My stories are meant to be realistic. I want for you to have a connection to the characters. If you haven’t read a Danielle Marcus book, you’re definitely missing out! My passion has lead me in to helping others fulfill their dreams. Danielle Marcus Presents currently has 12 authors signed to the company, and each individual’s passion runs just as deep as my own. We’re definitely here to stay.

This book was pretty good , but using "nigger" in almost ever line of dialogue, and the women characters, that were supposed to love each other like sister calling each other " bitch" constantly was a turn off for me. I know these books are catalogued as Urban Fiction, but that's still no excuse. IS that the way people are talking to each other in the hood on a regular basic? We HAVE to do better as black people. I enjoyed the storyline, but skipped thru some of it and definitely won't buy the next book. I hope as Danielle Marcus grows as a author she learns that she can write hook books without the word "nigger and bitch "being used so much.
This is a must read book. It show you that you can't trust anybody when it comes to jealousy. No matter how long you know person or if they are your family. The close one will stab you in the back. I hope co made it and Rodney get karma on his ass soon. You can do your dirt then respect someone take it and get fed up... I can't wait to read pt 2
This was just so good I was on a rollercoaster ride of emotions crying with Me-Me, wanting too beat Mya ass to just laughing at Lantis with her mean self this was so good I'm rushing to read part 2 next.
This book follows the friendship of Atlantis and Jameila and Maya. Atlantis is a beautician and she is very good at what she does. Jameila, is a nursing student persuading a degree in nursing. Maya, is all about getting money from dudes. These 3 have been friends for sixteen years. They had a bond more like sisters. Or so they thought they were more like sisters.
Atlantis is in a relationship with Micah. He is everything that she wanted in a man. They have been through a lot to get to the point of being happy. Someone in the past doesn't want to couple to have an happily ever after.
Jameila and Rodney have been together for a few years. She has have gone through the fire with him. Rodney has done whatever he wanted to in the relationship. He is so confident that he will always have Jameila. One night changes everything in their relationship.
Maya, is all about the money. She is keeping a secret from her friend that will change the nature of their friendship.
There were several inconsistencies in the book. One moment a couple has been together for 6 months. Two months pass in the book and they still have been together for months. A character went through something twice in one part of the book and then the next part it was three times.Something I didn't like is when we one character's thoughts are happening and the next thing it flips to another character.
This was a pretty good read. The pace was a good speed. All characters had a specific role without filler, I appreciate that.
Three friends who live and play together as sisters; one betrays the other. None totally trust the men they're with and all have issues thus the title, lol. The story between Atlantis and Micah is unfinished. Atlantis actually gets good advice from a friend regarding letting someone whisper in your ear about what your significant other is doing. Why would you trust information from your rival?
Jameila and Rodney together were just a mess. He was so unworthy. I could see why the envious Mya would secretly covet him though because she is the female version of his unscrupulous behind.
Dacovin seems like a decent enough guy and he and Jameila took the friendship approach to a relationship.
All in all a good book. Will read part 2.
Funniest unintentional quote "...hurt like a pot of hot grits"
*side note, author should review some of the grammatical errors; not a tremendous amount but a pet peeve of mine!
First of all, Rodney ain't ish!!! I can understand Jameila trying to hold on to her relationship but she should've let go a long time ago. It's funny because so many people find themselves in these same situations. It was alright for Rodney to do as he pleased but as soon as the shoe was on the other foot he couldn't take it! Co always seemed like the right choice for her. I hope their relationship works. I really liked Atlantis and how she felt about Micah. I was glad he finally started doing right in order to work on their relationship. Now when it comes to Danalle, I didn't like what she did since Micah finally stopped dealing with her. I mean who seriously goes that far? All I could do was smh at all their craziness! I was throughly pissed when it came to Maya. And to think that a few things had to fall apart in order for her to realize she was wrong and wanted the friendship. But I might as well go ahead and 1 click part 2 so I can see what other trust and issues they'll have.
I read this book some time ago after purchasing it simply based off of the title, I remember it being a really great entertaining read but unfortunately I lost reviews I had saved on my iPhone and the review for this book was one of them. With that being said I knew I had to re-read it so that I could make let it be known that this is a good book and that I'll be supporting this author by purchasing her work in the future.
I was able to finish this in a day. As a young African American female, the book has many topics that are relatable, the ups & downs of friendships and relationships, being independent, holding onto something that you know just isn't for you anymore, and finding love where you least expect it. I look forward to part II to see what happens next with the trio and the men in their lives! Great job.
I must say, this book was interesting to say the least! It was a slow start at first and I just wanted to slap some sense into the characters but then it started getting juicy and I found myself hooked!
There was a few discrepancies throughout the book and some confusion about which character was talking but once I passed that the storyline had me on the edge of my seat!
The main characters JAMELIA, MYA & ATLANTIS were great, and even the men in their lives were a loveable combination which you love to hate but at times I felt the story could have had a bit more constraint with the amount of 'slang' used from the ladies, but I guess it's the culture of the lifestyle they are portraying.
Nevertheless, it was a great read and I'm purchasing part 2 straight away, this cliff hanger has me anticipating more!
Thos book catches your attention from the start. Even your best friend in your clique can be your greatest enemy. Someone is always secretly hating on what you have men, cars, clothes, etc. so it's best to keep your grass cut so you can see the snakes. The book also shows how people only do what you allow them to so. Can't wait for book 2.
This was a really good book. Jameila and Co were a beautiful match. This book definitely shows you can't trust everyone. May and Rod were to much. I really enjoyed reading this book. It kept me wanting to know what was going to happen next. Can't wait to read the next book. I would recommend this book.
The overall book was ok. This book really needed some serious editing as there were many errors and a lot of content was constantly refashioned to make the book longer than it should be. I did like the main characters and would like to see where the author goes with this love triangle.
Great read! I love the ups and downs with the characters. I felt everything the characters felt. I'm praying for a happy ending with part 2. First read by the author and I'm patintly waiting for more!
I have never read a book by his author but I have a new favorite!! All the twist and drama had my attention from the first page!! Getting part 2 now!!!
I know the girls love each other but jealously came into play... Hopefully they can workout their differences and that ending OMG!!! But the old saying is you never know what you got until it's gone!!! Ready for part 2
I thought this was a good read could have been put together a little better, it has a lit of potential. This is the first book I have read by the author and will not be the last. I do recommend!
Man this book was great! I couldn't put it down, I really like Co and I hope all ends well with him. Rod is a punk and that damn Mya smh. Cant wait to start the next one.
I truly enjoyed reading this book. I'm also looking forward to reading the other parts. it was intresting enough to keep my attention from beginning to end.
Wow...Rodney is a sick SOB for shooting my man Co. If he wasn't such a f#@k up then he would still be with Jamila and not trying to murder her fiancee Co.
