It's my first book from this author but I'll surely check other T. C Archer's book. I recommend this book to all romantic suspence lovers. It has lots of twists and turns and even more action. Kept me on my toes to the end.

I feel like this book was kind of a mess. It was really enjoyable, but it just didn't feel right. I don't know how to explain it properly. It could have been shorter. Jesse could never have been a covert operative, there's just no way. One TSTL moment after another put me on guard to the point where I was predicting how she'd fuck things up. Fortunately, she surprised me, but still fucked things up.

It's always the heroine for me.

Also, it felt odd to me when, in the middle of thinking about their mission, a totally asinine sexual thought would come roaring through Jesse's head. And it felt inappropriate. Not like... a sexual thought is inappropriate in the situation, but that the timing of the specific thought is all wrong. She should have had a sexual thought or impulse five sentences ago, not now. Now it just looks like nympho-ADD. There was nothing to spur the sexual thought, it's almost like a sentence was misplaced at the end of a paragraph about mission plans. Now imagine this last sentence is about how overpriced banana chips are in Kentucky and you may understand how bizarre it felt.

The wham! bam! thank you, ma'am! ending kinda threw me. It was an appropriate place to end, but I didn't like it. A little bit of dialogue between Jesse and Cole was quite necessary for me and I didn't get that at all. There was no wrap up between them that set them on a path of an HEA, though I assume they'll get one simply because the authors didn't give an indication that they wouldn't. I just feel like they gave the bare minimum to indicate a HEA and that makes me sad.

Whatever. It was a good story, it just felt overly long and disjointed. I don't even know how they got from Columbia to the US and back and then back again over and so and so many times. It was weird.

And boom goes the dynamite.

Kick Ass Read!

Wow what a fast paced read with tons of military recon action of taking names and kicking assss, all I can say is Rambo doesn’t have anything on OIA Agent Jesse Evans! When an in and out recon mission goes bad Agent Jesse finds herself set up to take the blame for the killings of her team troops and other team comrades. Now accused as a traitor of selling out her country, there is only one thing on her mind and that is to survive, clear her name, catch the mole who sold her troops out to the drug lords, and to protect her sister from the real traitor back in the states.

Immediately you are captivated within the story as the scenes come alive in a jungle as Agent Jesse watches from afar as some of her fellow comrades are slaughtered (shot point blank in the head) even after she tried to warn her Team Headquarters that the mission was a trap. The scenes are graphic in detail and the suspense of escape and torture are at risk throughout the whole story.

At a turn of events, Agent Jesse finds herself partnering up with a mystery agent “Cole Smith” whom claims to be on her side as they go after the drug lord and try to snuff out the mole in the OIA department. Trust issues become a factor making the connection between Jesse and Cole stand offish and bitter at first because Jesse doesn’t have clue whom the mole is - as just when she thinks she has figured out who is behind it all, something happens to knock the clue out of the loop leaving her wondering and wanting the truth.

Between the exciting action of combat fighting and the drama of all the combining clues, this is one mystery you will not be able to solve until the very ending when everything starts to make sense. All the set ups, agent corruption, national security leaks, and lies will have your head spinning in amazement.

The story was not really based on a romance but as in most all cases when on a mission, the action, the thrill of the kill or chase somehow always turns ones hormones into wild desire. The chemistry between the characters is full of desire but the mission always comes first and they seemed to never get a break to do what they really wanted to do. Finally towards the end they got their moment and the love scene was pleasantly described in good taste. Sexual rating would be 2 flames out of 5 flames.

The ending was masterful as the mystery climaxed but the turn of the events left me wanting to know more about the characters and their future roles in the government or if they were going to have a life together after everything they went through of saving each other from hell and back.

Excellent Read!

While on a Recon mission to rescue the daughter of a U.S. Senator deep in the bowls of Columbia, Jesse Evan's informant is murdered in what she comes to realize is an ambush, meaning the mission and the team sent to rescue the girl has been compromised. When she tries to notify her superior, everything goes horribly wrong. Now she finds herself on the other side of the law, branded a sell out, a traitor and a risk to National Security. Somehow she manages to make it back to the States where she vows to bring the real traitor, Green Leader Robert Langdon, down. That may sound like a good idea, but it's a difficult task when you're alone and can trust no one. Then help arrives in the form of a handsome Texan named Cole. But is he who he really says he is?

This was one action-packed read, and I loved every second of it. I only put it down once because something known as asleep got in the way of finishing it off in one sitting. From beginning to end, the pages are filled with action, conspiracy, lust, deceit, a drug lord and bullets flying all over the place. Jesse Evans is literally a kick a** heroine. She's Emma Peel, Evelyn Salt and a little bit of James Bond rolled up in one. In full mission mode, she can keep up with any alpha male, but on the inside she tends to let her emotions rule her and her actions. Her only family left is her autistic sister, Amanda, and she will go to any length to keep her safe. Aside from being tired of being and feeling alone, Amanda is probably Jesse's only weakness.

Cole is one of the wildcards in this story. He was Green Team Leader, and he's the lone survivor of the Green Team massacre. He saves Jesse's butt a few times, but is sincere or just a ploy to gain her trust? Throughout the entire story I went back and forth on that question about as often as Jesse did, and seeing as the entire story is told from her perspective we can only build a picture of the players as she finds them out for herself. Talk about nerve-wracking.

Jesse and Cole have instant chemistry that is only hindered by Jesse's distrust and Cole's attempts to make her trust him even when his actions and words appear shady. That still doesn't stop them from heating up the pages whenever they're in close proximity. However this book contains more suspense than romance. The sexual tension lasts well past three quarters of the story before the inevitable happens, and it's one time only. As for the plot, you don't get the big picture until the very end, but the journey there was worth every page.

A couple spelling/grammar mistakes, but nothing that really interrupted the flow of the story, so I highly recommend this book.

To See Review at Booked Up

Jesse Evans loves her sister and her country; that’s why she will do whatever it takes to protect them. For this reason, she starts work as an elite Special Ops. As a recon specialist, her job is to get the team in and out of missions safely.

It’s not easy work, and when her mission to save a senator’s daughter goes terribly wrong, she realizes that there is a leak and it's one of her bosses. So her mission ends with the death of her informant, the whole team that worked on it, and the girl.

However, there was a survivor … the Team Leader, Cole Smith.

Tagged as a traitor, Jesse will do whatever it takes to clear her name and protect her sister back in the states from the real traitor and find the mole who sold her troops out to the drug lords. Cole has been trying to track her down, wanting to convince her he’s on her side. Their mutual boss wants a resolution to the problem fast and doesn’t care who takes the fall to do so. He’s already thrown Jessie under the proverbial bus and, as far as he’s concerned, there’s still room for Cole beside her.

Together, Jessie and Cole search for evidence connecting Amadeo Perez, a Columbian drug lord, with Robert Lanton, their boss. When she finally thinks she's got him, she discovers that nobody and nothing is as it should be … friend, enemy, or situation.

I didn’t like the book … I loved it! Yes, I know, I shouldn’t be surprised after reading the previous books of T. C. Archer, but I am. Although suspense is not my favorite genre, I had to read it. T. C. Archer has turned into one of my favorite writers. From the first word until the last, I was held captive by the story. The action moves fast and there are many twists, forcing you to get lost in the book, living it along with Jesse.

Jesse Evans is a strong, merciful, and loving woman, who will do anything for justice. She teams with Cole but she doesn’t trusts him, especially after she has proof that he was working for Lanton. But she works with him because she knows he has to find the one who caused the death of his men. A wonderful well-written character, I experience with Jesse every emotion, hope, and concern she felt.

My only complaint is the Spanish words added to enrich the story. I speak Spanish and I may say that most of them are wrong. For that reason only, I give it 4.5 stars.

Okay I admit it; I judge a book by the cover and the description. I always have. One or the other will make me want to read/buy the book. I have even purchased a book based on the cover or title. I know it is bad the cover or title never gives the full story about what might be inside the book. For me, the blurb on the front had reeled me in hook, line and sinker. I am like what better way to sum up a book in two sentences with 12 words. What would be more interesting than reading about a woman that truly has a license to kill and the man sent to kill her. I jumped at the chance to read this book. Granted, I have read books by TC Archer in the past so I knew I enjoyed the authors writing. If you like, romance books with a little something extra like, mystery, suspense and kick-ass actions then I highly recommend this one. You will not be disappointed.

I wondered after reading this book how much research the authors completed. I admit to not knowing anything about military life. Nothing. Nada. Zilch. I have lived my whole life within a few miles of a major army base. However, I could not tell you the difference in a general or a private by looking at their uniform. I know even less about any team of special ops. While reading that old song ‘The Ballard of the Green Beret’ by SSgt Barry Sandler kept coming to my mind. Only the best is allowed in special ops.

The book is filled with lots of action, mystery, and suspense from the first page to the end. There are a few sex scenes. If reading about killing or drugs is not your taste then I do advise that you might not like this book. However, remember that there is more action/suspense than anything else in this book.

The authors wrote a book that will take you one a whirlwind traveling spree. Readers will go from the Columbian jungle, to several different areas in the US back to the Columbian jungle. Where a member on the special ops team is either a traitor or has been set up by a co-worker. Which one is anybody’s guess? No sorry I will not give that spoiler away.

Thanks for another great read TC.

The bunnies and I give this book 4 carrots.

Jesse Evans is the most wanted woman in the world. She must prove she didn't sell out the elite Special Ops team she sent into a Columbian village to rescue a little girl, or her sister dies. Only one man can save them both. But he isn't who Jesse thinks he is.

My normal favorite reads are Paranormal- whether it be romance, uf, suspense or mystery- so when I started reading For His Eyes Only I was hoping there would be some things that go bump in the night along the story.

Absolutely didn't need it.

We start the novel with Jesse hunkered down in the jungle of Columbia after she realizes her whole operation has been sold out and she's in deep shit. We feel her fears, her anger and her determination to uncover the truth once she realizes the only person who could have leaked her intel had to be in the agency she lived for.

Cole Smith; big, sexy southern soldier that blindsides Jesse and is either helping her, or hurting her mission. We can't tell for sure... And that's why I loved this story.

This is definitely another JUST ONE MORE PAGE book! I loved it, every twist and turn, every time Jesse kicked ass- and she does that A LOT, every time she broke down.. I felt it all and silently (or not so silently) cheered her on.

Unlike almost every other story I've read where there's the secret bad guy the protagonist is trying to find and kick some ass, I could not, for the life of me, figure out who the main enemy was! I was just as surprised and confused as Jesse, and that's why I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good twister.

I am so grateful that I was able to read an ARC copy of For His Eyes Only. I have to say that this book took me by surprise. I love my men and women in a uniform who are there to serve and protect us. FHEO starts off with Jesse who is a recon specialist sent out to make sure there are no traps in place for the recovery team. Only this time when she goes to Columbia she finds that her team is dead and the person they were supposed to retrieve is MIA. What is a girl to do about that.

Jesse knows someone close to her had to sell her and her team out but what she doesn't know is that they are out for her blood and they will stop at nothing to get her and ruin her. She is know considered the most wanted woman in the world. As she is hiding in the jungles of Columbia the government has sent out another specialist Cole Smith to recover Jesse and bring her back to be punished. But Cole can';t find her at first and when he does he starts to think there is holes in the governments story and decides to help Jesse find out what really happened to her team. What will Cold and Jesse find out? Will Cole and Jesse give in to the desires of want? Or will Jesse be destroyed like the person wants? Come along for the craziest thrill ride I have ever read. I was at the edge of my seat the whole time wondering what was going to happen next.

She had the impression he had reverted to some Cro-Magnon man, who believed he would take care of her. There was a first time for everything.

Jesse Evans is wanted for selling out her elite Special Ops teammates. Only problem is, she didn't do it. Now, to get her life back together and keep her only family safe, she has to find out who did sell them out--and make someone believe her.

Throughout the book, the reader--and Jesse--makes guesses about Cole, the man sent to kill her but who ends up helping her... or so she thinks. The action has just enough pauses between it to let readers catch their breath before picking right back up, and man, can Jesse pack a punch. The tender moments are well-done and well-placed, allowing the reader insight into both Jesse and Cole's character. The attraction between the two, while almost cliche, was done in such a gentlemanly fashion (if such can be said about a man trying to kill you) that it worked well.

Full of twists and identity questions, this fast-paced thriller packs a mean punch and keeps readers guessing.

I really enjoyed this book. A lot of Black Ops, Covert style books are about strong men operatives. This was a female and I loved it! Jess is a strong, smart, capable woman. Betrayed by her own government she goes out in the cold to try and catch the man who set up her up. The story is full of twists and turns and a sexy man Jess doesn't know if she can trust or not. Cole is your typical sexy studly agent and I fell in love with him, regardless how the story plays out. The book held me captive and intersted, unable to put it down! The only reason it's not 5 stars, is the fact that there are some editing issues. The word Columbian is used throughout the whole book, even in places it should just say Columbia, and it was slightly annoying. But, if you want a hot sexy military read, and can look past a few editing errors, pick this up!!

Perhaps it's because I obtained a copy directly from the authors and the commercially-available version is better... but this novel needs some serious editing & proofreading. First of all, the country is 'Colombia'... NOT 'Columbia'-- and there are tons of other typos and mistakes that made this a frustrating read.

In terms of the novel itself, it's a standard military / special ops novel with the main novelty being that the heroine is a Special Forces soldier as well. The plot is fast-paced and there are a lot of unexpected plot twists that will keep you reading... but the awful editing really detracted from my enjoyment.

I really enjoyed this book between all the exciting action , the lies and the set ups, agent corruption, national security leaks, and the not knowing what was going to happen next, it kept me reading till the end.
I have to say that the ending is only thing bothering me. I felt like there should of been something else. I would of like to know what was going to happen next between Jesse and Cole, like their future together, or if they still work for the govt. After all the ups and downs all the twist and turns the high and lows it just ended with her seeing her sister Amanda.

ACTION Packed! The action started on page one and didn't stop til the last page. I loved it. Jesse was a great heroine and one tough chick. She is just the kind of character I like....tough, sarcastic, and ballsy. And Cole, yum! I fell in love with him immediately. I loved the sexual tension between these two.

This book kept me guessing, is he a good guy? Yep he is. No, wait, maybe not. I went back and forth trying to guess who to trust so many times, I think I may have whiplash.

A great mix of action, mystery and romance.

Femme fatale, Ms. Bond are just a few names you could call Jesse. What a kick butt, action packed story. Cole was no slouch either. I thought I figured out the plot but a twist later and a wrench thrown in to change the plan keeps the reader on their toes.

For His Eyes Only is a classic thriller. It has it all: sex, love, violence, non-stop action, a breathtaking pace, interesting and engaging characters and a plot that keeps the reader guessing until the very end. If you like international spy thrillers, this one’s for you.
