#readingchallenge2020 (my book that begins with a P)

Overall, the book earned 0 stars, but I’ll toss it 1 star not just because I have to but because the ‘twist’ was moderately clever.

The novel began with six medical students embarking on a journey to become the best doctors in their college. They were hand-picked to join a study group by the dean of their college, and assumed with three boys and three girls there may be future romances-alongside study, study, study-But when the girls showed no interest in the boys, the boys played a mean prank on them…and follow a prank war.

The pranks were too big. It wasn’t fun to follow, I had assumed there would be an excitement to discover what each group would do, but with the characters playing a big, long game the novel was both something I had to skim, due to disinterest, and had to re-read due to just trying to understand what was happening. The writing was heavy in the sense there was so much convoluted descriptions that were all over the place.

The author throws in a twist at the end, but the cleverness of one twist could not save an entire novel of bleh.
