Khyra is working as a barmaid in a tavern. And although she is dreaming of a better life, there doesn't seem to be an alternative for her. When one day a mysterious stranger appears and offers her an alternative, Khyra has to decide quickly if she will take up the challenge that might change her life - and maybe even that of the stranger - for ever.
I live on the outskirts of Nuremberg, and I love going for walks in the forest, which starts just across the road. My greatest passions are the English language, writing, reading, learning languages, and my aquariums. I also love photographing, singing, digital painting and creating digital art, watching documentaries, etc. In short, I love being creative and I'm interested in a vast variety of subjects.
This was a very fast read. There wasn't a lot of description in it, but that was A-OK, since the story read so fast.
It was told in third person, again, OK due to the shortness of the story.
I liked it a lot because it told a story from beginning to end; had a complete plot; it didn't end curiously; and it was fairly satisfying. I would definitely read more by this author.
If you are wanting a quick, satisfying fantasy; and aren't upset about lesbian themes (this one was fairly vanilla, but there is kissing between two women,) reading this book will be pleasing. [For me, it was a nice chaser in the middle of a slog-fest of a book.]
