Yenilmeyen guc odur. Halkin gucudur, halkin orgutlu gucudur. Asya'da Afrika'da dirilen ve direnen haklar, bu orgutlu gucun yediveren bagimsizlik gulleridir. Is, bu gucu orgutlemektedir; huner, bu gucu bilinen bilincle ayakta tutabilmektedir.

Uğur Mumcu was an intrepid Turkish Kemalist intellectual, investigative journalist and columnist for the leading Kemalist broadsheet, Cumhuriyet who was known for indicating that Kemalism and Socialism aren't different ideologies and that imperialist nations had corrupted the Turkish state and army. He was killed by a bomb placed in his car, outside his home.
Uğur Mumcu was born as the third of four siblings in Kırşehir, where his father was working. He went to school in Ankara and in 1961 attended School of Law at Ankara University. After graduation in 1965, he practiced law for a while. He then visited England to learn English and upon his return to Turkey worked as a teaching assistant at Ankara University from 1969 to 1972.

On the morning of 24 January 1993, he left his home and was killed by a C-4 plastic bomb as he started his car; a Renault 12, license numbered 06 YR 245.

There are numerous hypotheses over who was responsible for his murder.

The book consists of great columnist Uğur Mumcu’s columns prior to 1980. Concrete evidence on corruption, terror and unrests in Turkey and Turkish politics in the years leading to 12 Sept. 80 coup. Shows how every single politician has a bent compass in this country. (Personal views from now on) After Atatürk has left us, we have yet to bring forth a visionary, progressive leader. Corruption and race terror has taken too many lives around here. Power has way too much effect on eastern people than say, Nordic people. Yes, there are corrupt Norwegian politicians as well, but the difference between Turkey? Other ME countries? USA? The world needs honesty and integrity in people and politics first.

Uğur Mumcu'nun 12 Eylül'e giden dönemde, terör eylemleri, silah kaçakçılığı, meclis ve hükümetteki istikrarsızlıklar, solcu aydınlara yönelik cinayetler hakkında kaleme aldığı ve Cumhuryet gazetesinde yayımlanan yazılarının derlemesi.

12 mart'ın etkilerini sorgulayan ve gidişin yeniden askeri bir darbeye doğru olduğunu ima eden yazılar, genelde Demirel'i MHP ve faşizme verdiği destek yüzünden, Ecevit'i ve CHP'yi ise etkisiz kalmakla suçlayan bir yönetime sahip.

Uğur Mumcu'nun Köşe Yazılarından oluşan derlemelerin bulunduğu bir kitaptır. Politik bölünmüşlüğün zirvesindeki 70ler-80ler Türkiye'si hakkında, sayın Uğur Mumcu'nun 30-40 sene önceki yazılarını okuyunca, insan icinde bulunduğumuz su günlere farklı bir açıyla bakma fırsatı buluyor.
Rahmetle Aniyorum buyuk ustadi. Ve kesinlikle tavsiye ederim bu kitabi.
