శ్రీశ్రీ అంటే ఎవరు అని ఎవ్వరూ అడగరు. కాని సిప్రాలి అంటే ఏమిటని అందరూ అడుగుతారు. శ్రీరంగం శ్రీనివాసరావు శ్రీశ్రీ అయినట్టే సిరిసిరి మువ్వలు, ప్రాసక్రీడలు, లిమబుక్కులు కలిపి 'సిప్రాలి' అయింది. రుక్కుటేశ్వర శతకం, పంచపదులు కూడా సిప్రాలిలో పొందుపరిచాడు శ్రీశ్రీ.

సిరిసిరిమువ్వ, రుక్కుటేశ్వర శతకాల్లోనూ, చాటువుల్లోనూ, మేమే గేయాల్లోనూ వున్న హాస్యం కేవలం నవ్వించటానికే పనికొస్తుంది. నిజమైన హాస్యం నుంచి జాలి, కరుణ పుట్టాలంటారు కొందరు. కాని వేరే రకం హాస్యం ఉంది. ఇందులో వ్యంగ్యం, నీతి, ఉపదేశం ఉంటాయి. మొదటి తరహా హాస్యం లక్ష్యాలు ఆనందం, ఆమోదం అయితే, రెండో తరహా హాస్యం లక్ష్యాలు చైతన్యం, విమర్శ. మొదటి దాని పరమావధి కేవలం నవ్వు పుట్టించడం, రెండోదాని పరమావధి ప్రయోజనం సాధించడం. ఈ రెండో తరహా హాస్యమే శ్రీశ్రీ ప్రాసక్రీడల్లోనూ, లిమబుక్కుల్లోనూ తొణికిసలాడుతుంది. ప్రాసక్రీడలు కవితా బాణాలయితే లిమబుక్కులు కవితా బాంబులు అంటున్నారు 'సిప్రాలి'ని కూర్చిన శ్రీ చలసాని ప్రసాద్‌గారు.

Sri Sri (శ్రీ శ్రీ) is a Telugu author from Vishakapatnam. He was best known for his literary work Maha Prasthanam. The book talks about the social issues that people faced in 1930's and 40's. He influenced a lot of people with his works. He was considered as a child prodigy as he started writing poems at his will from the age of seven.
He broke the classical style of telugu writing and introduced free verse in telugu poetry. His works always addressed the contemporary issues in the society. He later worked in the telugu film industry. He wrote about 1000 songs for telugu films.
