Darkness Born is a short story about what lurks in the shadows around us. Now here's the thing: I have never liked short stories. By anybody. They always have the feeling of an unfinished novel to me... This one I loved. There's a first for everything, yeah? I do still feel, though, that this short story, though fine how it is, could be expanded upon, and I'd buy the novel in a heartbeat. But yeah, 5 stars for the short story.
