Three siblings fight to survive in a zombie infested world. When they get caught in a flood during a rainstorm, the group is forced to take refuge. They are thrust into a mystery they can't explain, and when things slowly begin to unravel, they learn they have to play by a new set of rules.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a warning to those readers who are looking for a more violent read with gruesome descriptions of blood and gore. This is NOT that type of book. There is lots of zombie action, but this particular story is based more on the action, drama, and survival aspects.
Chrissy Peebles, a practicing nurse, has always loved reading and writing fantasy from the earliest age she can remember. She plotted every single twist she could think of during bedtime stories for her children. When her little ones begged for more adventures, she felt confident enough to let her overeager imagination and sense of humor spill out into her first novel. She lives in Ohio with her husband, two young kids, one hamster, three dwarf hamsters and cat. When she's not taking the kids to Little League soccer, basketball, or baseball, she loves to snap photos as her favorite hobby.
This book was gripping and had me engrossed from the start with the terrifying new development facing the siblings. The suspense and excitment has just built with each new book in the series, making it a must read, I can't wait to start book 5. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
I've read all the Zombie Chronicles books so far and can say this one is the best. It starts out with a huge bang. Nick and Dean embark on a new mission to save Tahoe's little girls. On their way, the bag with the invaluable vials is stolen. Their search takes them to a building infiltrated by zombies and that's where things get really interesting. I won't say too much so I won't spoil the plot. Let's just say, things heat up and take a completely unexpected direction than I anticipated. There's drama, love, loss, and lots of action, which makes this series an amazing read, not just for zombie fans and readers of the horror genre.
I applaud the author for her imagination. I haven't read a series that's both entertaining and original in a long time. Her writing's easy to follow and makes the pages come to life. What I also like is that you don't have to read them in order to get the most enjoyment from this series. The characters, setting and plot elements are so vivid, you'd find your way around without having read the previous books. This said, I think they're a must read and I can't wait for the next book.
This is another great installment in the Zombie Chronicles series!! The whole gang encounters more problems than they bargained for when they have to find a safe place to stay for the night. The torrential downpour they've been driving in is becoming way too difficult to maneuver through so they pull over when they find a boarded up nursing home that seems safe enough. That's where the non-stop twists and turns start occurring. You'll follow along as Dean, Nick, Lucas, Val, Jackie and Claire hit more than one bump in the road as strange things start happening in the nursing home. People are missing, strange sounds are occurring, and people are being bitten but not infected!? What's causing all the weird things in this house? Read this 4th installment to find out!
I still love this series!! However grammar and spelling is becoming an issue. There have been some sentences where I wasn't sure what the author actually meant because it's all such a jumble. That being said, I like the story enough to look past that and just keep reading. So Dean got the serum back and it seems to have worked. But the group gets caught in a storm and has to wait it out in an abandoned nursing home, which seems secure when they arrive. Everyone gets clean clothes, food, water, it seems like a great place to stay for awhile. But then people start disappearing. And no one can find them or has any clues as to where they could have gone. Just when I thought the series was wrapping up for a big finale, there are more questions and no one to answer them.
I'm a sucker for a zombie series and this is Book 4 of at least 5. I'm not sure if I will be moving forward with any additional books. I expect main characters to die in zombie novels and that doesn’t happen with these books. There’s no suspense because I know, all of the main characters will be saved.

I think the fourth book in the Zombie Chronicles was the best one yet. It really was non stop action. It's an interesting twist that the serum would have such adverse effects on the newly cured zombie bit victims. I look forward to reading the fifth installment.
As the series progresses, the story gets better. But also, spelling, grammar, and continuity errors become more frequent, and plague the series. As it stands, I am done with this series.
