Jess Buffett was born and raised in New South Wales, Australia. Jess is a mum of two, married to her high school sweetheart. She is a hopeless romantic who is a huge fan of M/M and M/F romance with a happy ending—anything with hunky men in all their glory, whether they be Shifters, Vampires, Cowboys, or the boy next door. A caffeine addict who shamefully can’t make a decent cup of coffee to save her life, Jess believes in soul mates, happily ever afters, and in love at first sight, but that sometimes people need a second or a third for the brain to catch up.

Nanee's Review :

I thought this story was sweet, romantic and a little sexy all in one. Although there was a few terrifying moments and sadness, I got swept away in chocolate Roses and hunky cowboys. I thought the writer captured each moment perfectly, the descriptions and dialogue within the story made me feel part of it. I thought the characters were great, how can you not want a sexy cowboy.....Bri's character is hard not to love, she's shy, easily blushes but she is a strong , smart women that perseveres. Josh is a sexy cowboy that is nothing but a gentleman and extremely protective of what's his.....I really enjoyed this story and would highly recommend .

Off the bat, I should mention, once more, that I love cowboy romance stories. I crave them. Ramona married one and I am related to one - same individual, heheheheee. This piqued my interest, of course, since it also mentioned chocolate roses, another love. Not the candies, though, but the chocolate-hued flowers.

Anyway, Josh and Caleb are the quintessential Sundance Kid types with good heads for business. No surprise they get hit on in a bar. Surprise that they get hit on by a drunk bride-to-be who literally pushes her violet-eyed sister Brianna on Josh. A lot of drinks too many, they end up in bed and the fun begins. They should too, if Brianna is described as a tad bit like Elizabeth Taylor in her heyday!

Brianna had gone through a traumatic experience and freaks out when she wakes up next to a huge, barrel chested, six foot and a half man whom she forgets to be that guy Josh they sat with the night before. She leaves in a panic and he wakes up thinking he was used and checks out immediately. Long story short, she later finds out she's pregnant and decides to let him know he's going to be a daddy.

While the relationship is understandably rocky in the beginning, I like that the two of them try hard to make it work. Jealous women and psychotic stalkers don't make it any easier but like any good love story, they end up together despite all the obstacles thrown their way.

I only wish there was a little more detail in the story. The scene where they tell her parents they're getting married, for example, or Timothy plotting his revenge, or Kelly seething with jealousy would have made the story a bit less abrupt for me.

And what is the deal with Caleb, Mel, and Noah? That there is a story in itself! Should I claim a prophecy of a future MFM story in the making? Now that story, right there, is getting my curiosity meter on the up and up.

I just love my cowboy stories.

Note: eBook provided by the author. Thank you, Jess Buffett!

Josh is a good man who has worked hard to put his family’s ranch back in the black after the death of his parents. He has helped the town and has good friends. He and his brother have just signed a multi-million dollar contract to supply meat to a restaurant chain and they are going to celebrate. When a much-deserved night out ends up with meeting a bachelorette party, he is immediately taken with one of the bridesmaids, Bri. Bri is shy, sweet and quiet and on this occasion has been drinking (unusual for her). When she wakes up in the morning in Josh’s bed, she panics and flees. Poor Josh, he thought they had a connection and now feels used.

When the “oh no” moment happens, Bri has to find Josh again, but how? She doesn’t remember their night together and doesn’t know his last name. Luckily, she does track him down. Now they have to see if they can get to know each other. There is a misunderstanding, some harsh words (which really, I thought Josh was justified in saying!) and a bigger problem in the form of Bri’s past coming back to cause big trouble.

While Josh mentions that he loves it when Bri shows her backbone and gets her stubborn on, I wish we had seen it a bit more, especially when she was standing up to her dad. Also, I’d have liked a bit more fleshed out with Timothy.

There is a dangerous situation, a really catty woman from town, a down to earth sister and solid brother, a sticky situation and a dangerous one and most of all two people who feel the connection but now have to find out if they can make it work.

One thing I do want to know – what is up with Mel? Do we get to see her with Caleb? With Noah? With both? A recommended romantic story.

Josh is a hardworking, well-liked cowboy that does a lot for his community. He and his brother have been struggling to keep the ranch afloat after the death of their parents and have just gotten a multi-million dollar meat deal that will fix all their problems…and perhaps create a few.
Bri has been recovering from a tragic event and hasn’t quite become her old self yet. At her sister's bachelorette party, Charlotte tries to set Bri up with Josh and encourages her to drink knowing her toleration is low. Bri and Josh hit it off good. Maybe a bit too good for Bri’s inebriated state.

I thought this was a good romantic read. I will say it was a little predictable especially once Bri tells josh about her past issues so soon in the story. In my opinion if this had been held out a little longer it would have added to the suspense part. Having said this, I really liked the story a lot. I loved Josh, Bri and especially Josh’s brother Caleb and his best friend Noah and the Dr. Mel.. I can’t wait to read their story. Sin was also introduced and he seems very intriguing as well. I will say this was a perfect set-up for an ongoing series with all these wonderful characters.
If you like a good premise for an interesting cowboy series, cowboys, hot sheriffs, suspense, loving doting men, and some sensually hot sex this is for you!
