One woman. Two men. And a passionate hunger too long denied. It's Gabriel Harrison's thirty-fifth birthday. His quiet night at home, spent alone with a glass of Scotch and a novel, is about to be shattered. Gabriel's best friend, Jonah, comes knocking at his door, bearing a present unlike any other, a blindfolded Denny Abbott, the lush little assistant Gabe can't get out of his mind. He aches for her with a primitive, physical lust and tearing emotional hunger that eats at his soul, and yet, he will not touch her. He will not reach out for the one thing in the world he wants above all others. For Gabriel has a secret, one he believes makes him unworthy of the "sexy sweet" Denny. What Gabe doesn't know is that the gentle Denny has a backbone of steel and the sheer determination of a woman in love. With Jonah leading the way, the three embark on a provocative, sensual assault to shatter that infuriating wall of ice surrounding Gabriel's heart. Before the night ends, Denny is determined to melt his resistance and make the "Ice Man" burn.

I wasn't too excited to read this book. I really like Rhyannon Bryd and thought I would give it a try. I am glad I did.

First let me warn you. This book is NOT for people who dislike strong language, menage or sexually explict bedroom scenes.

Denise "Denny" Abbott is in love with her boss. Thinking that he doesn't notice her, she watches him from afar and goes the extra mile at work to please him. She does not think he would ever be attracted to a woman like her. She is not extraordinarily beautiful, or thin like the women she thinks he would normally date. Her heart and mind tell her that he is tortured by something in the past and has put a wall around his heart.

Gabriel Harrison watches Denny from afar. He is drawn to her sweet personality and her curvy body. Although, he dreams of her...he will not approach her because of demons in the past. Scarred inside and out, he is determined to protect her, but not get to close to her, because he believes she deserves better.

Knowing that his best friend Gabriel will never allow himself to have Denny, Jonah Cartwright comes up with an idea, and a way for Denny to melt the ice and fear in Gabriels heart.

I really liked this book. I liked all of the characters and the sex scenes were intense! I was glad when Gabe's heart reaches out to Denny-even if it was because of an unconventional way to melt the ice around it and take a chance with love.

I am looking forward to reading Jonah's book when it comes out...he was very sexy, and knows how to show a woman a good time.

Very sexy!

Super hot with not one, but two sexy men. Gabe is who Denny has been pining for in the office, but he is her boss and she doesn't think that she's good enough for him because she's a bit on the curvy side. Gabe has a past that makes him think he isn't good enough for sweet Denny and he is scarred on the inside and outside because of that tragedy. Jonah is one of Gabe's best friends and he knows Gabe won't take Denny for himself, so he wraps her up and gives him to his friend for his 35th birthday with the caveat that they share her. The scenes between the three are smoking hot!

Pretty much one, long, sex scene, but it was hot and I'm digging the writing. Would have loved the hero too if there was no sharing, but I knew that going into this so i can't be mad🤷

This book has the longest sex scene I've come across to date. That's right, from page 51 to page 193 we have mouthwatering descriptions of physical bliss. As there are 218 pages, just, well, wow.

There isn't much else to it. I'm glad it was well-written, with likable characters. Still, Wow.

I'll give it this much, Mys Byrd sure can write a love scene! The first 20 pages are basically the set up and after that allllll love scene alllll the time. Seriously. It went on for about 80% of the book. Not multiple scenes people. ONE love scene. I didn't stop reading, simply because I honestly wanted to know how long she could sustain it! This is basically stroke fiction with a thin veneer of romance, but surprisingly enough I didn't hate it.

This is easily one of my favorite EC books of all time! I've read it multiple times and it never gets old. Gabe is heartbreaking with his inner angst and the sex is hot enough to make you pass out. And then there's Jonah...good lord. Please, Please, Please write Jonah's story. *pretty pretty please*

This is not a new story, though in today's overabundance of the tortured, rich guy, it would probably fit right in.

Denny has been Gabe's personal assistant for a while. She fell for him upon meeting him, but she's been able to keep it professional enough to do her job without her personal feelings getting in the way. She and Gabe seem to tiptoe around each other.

One night after Denny worked late, Gabe's best friend, Jonah, recruits Denny to be Jonah's birthday present. It doesn't take a whole lot of cajoling on Jonah's part, and while Denny can admit she's attracted to Jonah, she knows her feelings for Gabe are a whole different thing.

Gabe resists the gift at first, but then just can't handle it and takes everything Denny is willing to give. And, as Jonah predicted, becomes quite possessive in the process. And somehow breaks through the massive wall Gabe had erected after blaming himself for something that happened many years in the past. It ends in an HEA, which I enjoy.

And while I enjoyed the overall premise of the book, I felt like I didn't quite understand Gabe and Denny's working relationship at first. For some reason, I thought she just worked in his office, not that she was his personal assistant. Besides that, the bulk of this book was just one night of passion. I skipped parts, I'll admit. It was well written, but there were just some descriptions that went on and on and I just wanted to get to the next dialogue, the next action. There were things that easily could have been taken out and the story would not have been missing it. But generally it was an enjoyable story with a satisfying ending.

I might have to see about the next one, where it appears Jonas might meet his match, courtesy of the matchmaking of Denny.

Rhiannon Byrd was a new author for me.

What a unique and exhilarating premise—Gabriel is celebrating his 35th birthday and his best friend Jonah elicits the help of his assistant Denny to give him a birthday he’ll never forget. Jonah and Denny seduce the birthday boy and an unforgettable, intense night of passion ensues that is just the swift kick to the butt Gabriel needs to realize how he really feels about Denny. Three-quarters of the book happens over the course of one night. One wild, emotional, and memorable night that is eye-opening to all.
While the story I found just okay, pretty basic fare; it is the emotion of the story that pulled me in and wouldn’t let me go. I loved that the protagonist was a scarred man, in more ways than one; that the heroine was not a twig with infinite confidence but a woman with some curves and realistic emotions. I like that the two of them both had fears and hopes for this encounter. I also loved that the protagonist’s best friend knew him well enough to put this little ‘party’ together even though Gabriel protested and to take a back seat to his friend’s needs. It was the play amongst the three that kept me reading the story.

Nasty. Ick. Yuck. You get the point.

I am relatively new to erotica, and let me say that the whole menage a trios lit is quite an interesting addition to my reading lexicon. However, Triple Play was more than a little nasty as well as pretty darn unbelievable. Are there men that can have that much consistent sex in that short amount of time discounting teenagers or Viagra users? Quite acrobatic little trio as well. There was more than a few occasions when I had to stop and think out the logistics of the situation. A little like DVR instructions translated from Japanese.

Is being part of a rigorous three way the best way to show your crush who also happens to be your boss what a winsome chick you are? I don't think so. Color me prude, but it seems a better way to show what a skank you are. Yes, auto-correct, skank, not skunk.

Maya Banks has a whole plethora go menage a trios naughtiness that is a little more believable. I'm guessing on that point as I have no empirical evidence.

This book had so much potential. A menage between 2 guys and the pretty little secretary. But I got so bogged down in description that there was very little action. The book is pretty much one long night/sex scene but honestly not a whole lot seems to happen. We spend so much time having her pussy, or the guys' dicks described that it was surprising when the actual sex happened. Plus Gabe bemoaning why he couldn't fall in love with Denny. It got old, and got old quick. Pretty disappointed.

Super hot sex. Not for the faint-hearted. Love her style of writing. This book is one of my most favourite erotica novels. Strange though as it is a threesome book, of a kind I don't normally tolerate. I don't like couples who bring in a third who isn't of the relationship, but somehow as a one off this works for me. It's so hot!

I just love this writers way with words, and she is a favourite along with Angela Knight and Jaid Black. All of these author's are a one of a kind, and I adore their work. Rhyannon Byrd really should write faster!

Ok so I wasn't really bothered by this ménage though it did seem a slight bit...unnecessary. Though I guess that's the thrill of the fantasy, decadence, erotic extravagance. Good book once the hero and heroine got their shit together. Honestly I really just want to hit them upside their heads sometimes and yell "whaddya think you're DOING??! Dumb asses. He loves you. You love him. Now get it on and shut the hell up."

Sure wish there was more to the romantic relationship between Gabriel and Denny--there was such promise. I had issues with this typical alpha male who stubbornly resisted the heroine while at the same time considered her to be HIS, yet is willing to share her with a third party. There's no logic to it; however, the graphic sex was pure fun and there was plenty of it! 3.5 stars.

I would rather stick with Maya Banks Shayla Black and Lora Leigh than this author 90% of the book was one single sex scene it got tiring and old. you wanted to bang your head against the wall. I didn't even know it was possible to write a book that long and it only consist of one sex scene

Hot and fun. Light BDSM. Excellent characters. I love books where the bad boy wants the good girl and resists until he breaks and has to have her. This definitely fits the bill.
