With Paolo Rossi handled, for now, Sasha's life should be returning to normal. At least, it should be, but the problem is that the tenuous deal keeping her out of trouble could be revoked at any time. She can't trust it. On top of that, there is still the slight problem of Chief Hannover's murderer knowing who she is and possibly viewing her as a loose end to tie up, even if Rossi is not breathing down her neck at the moment. The Stillwind Police are putting pressure on her for answers that she just can't give. Even Gamma, the secret agency that knows all the details of everything going on, doesn't believe she's entirely innocent. From all directions, Sasha feels like she's in the line of fire.
Without a certain group of guys to back her up, her life would be in shambles.
A little about me. I love to read, write, travel, and drink tea. I especially love it when I can do more than one of those at a time. I have too many different series started, but all of them are definitely reverse-harem. It took me years to finish my first book, and now I have started to publish them.
My style leans towards paranormal, mystery, thriller themes when I write and read. If I'm trying to write, and I don't have time to read until I get inspired, I like to listen to music. That'll usually get me out of a block and back to writing!!
This series was a bit slower of a start than the Cardinal series was, both in character development as well as plot movement, but I will say that if you have made it this far you can likely see that books three and four are really ramping up. I would describe this series as more of a glacial burn for the romance part, and Rory was particularly challenging for me to tolerate for the first two books, but we're starting to pick up momentum, and by this fourth book I'm pretty invested and definitely want to see what happens next for Sasha and her gang of *mostly* sweetheart men and cinnamon role alpha type guys.
They’ve finally uncovered more about who’s working for Rossi in the fire department. And there’s so much character growth and reconciliation it’s great!!! Sasha’s life, as always, is never dull. And she’s starting to realize that more than just Nolan and Eli may be interested in her. I do have to add a point to my RH kidnapping tally. Half for Rossi and half for Ares.
Poor Sasha my heart breaks for her, she is such a strong and independent individual and she has gone to hell and back but she doesn't allow it to alter the backbone of who she is.
Mia has a thing with kidnapping, and she is really good at it! Wow! Cliffhanger warning. This book is a little rough, okay, really rough. Sasha is not getting a break, at least with the last kidnapping, she isn't alone. You have to read this series!!!
