It was business only… Chelsea Barton is terrible at the whole submission thing, and she wants to snare the Dom of her dreams. She seeks out the renowned trainer Master Alexander. Alex has his hands full with Chelsea, especially when he realises he doesn’t want to turn her over to another man…
Damn, damn, and double damn. This was so not supposed to happen.
Chelsea Barton always gets what she wants, and she wants the up and coming rocker Evan C to accept her as his sub. But her performance always disappoints him.
Determined to have her way, she begs Master Alexander Monahan to train her.
Alex has given up training submissives, and no matter what, he would not work with someone as bold, headstrong, and stubborn as Chelsea.
But there’s something about her that intrigues and impresses him, an enthusiasm that is missing from his too-dull life. Under very strict guidelines he agrees. She has to try her best. She has to submit uncomplainingly to his punishments. And there’s a two week obligation, after which they will part ways. Being a trainer is a very different relationship than a D/s, and despite his intentions to remain aloof, he starts to care deeply for the headstrong Chelsea.
Chelsea unhesitatingly agrees to Master Alexander’s rules, after all, he’s going to give her the skills she needs to get what she wants. But, damn it, the longer she trains with him, the more she is attracted to his rugged good look as well as to his firm, but relentless ways. She reminds herself of her goals, but that becomes more difficult every day.
For Alex, falling for a sub who will belong to another man was never part of the deal.
Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of anal sex.
Reader Advisory: This book can be read as a standalone, but is also part of the Mastered series.
Sierra is a USA Today, International Best-Selling author who wrote her first book at age nine and hasn't stopped since. Sierra invites you to share the complex journey of love and desire, of surrender and commitment. Her own journey has taught her that trusting takes guts and courage, and her work is a celebration for everyone who is willing to take that risk.
I enjoyed "On His Terms", but, it was different than the first book in a lot of ways. I found this one to be, in the beginning, a bit more technical. I kept looking for the emotional. I wanted the emotional connection with the characters, which I didn't get in the beginning, but the story was so good that I kept going, knowing (hoping) the connection would come.
I wasn't disappointed! You could see the slow turn coming and it kept me turning the pages.
This book turned out to be one of my favorites and I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys learning about the BDSM lifestyle.
I really feel that Sierra Cartwright, more than any other author of this genre, *gets it*. Her research into the elements of this lifestyle and her ability to put pen to paper and write a series like this, shows that she cared enough to get it right.
If you're in the lifestyle or just want to learn more about it, this is definitely the series for you!
Sierra Cartwright just nails it and I'm looking forward to the next in this series, "Over the Line", from the excerpt I read, I have a feeling it's going to be more about a bratty sub. Can't wait to read where her research took her in *that* one!
I'm not bothering with a recap on this one. I DNFd at around 30%. It was just as slow, boring, and ridiculous as the first book. I won't continue the series.
Sierra Cartwright has totally hit this one out of the park! Beautiful, raw, and at times intense, I was captivated from the very first chapter. This is definitely becoming one of my favorite BDSM Series!
"It takes a tremendous strength to subject yourself to someone else's will."
Time for "Project Snag Evan C." Chelsea Barton has her eye on a certain Dom, but she is no where near being submissive enough to satisfy this Dom's needs. She needs an experienced Dom to train her and she needs one like YESTERDAY! Chelsea is as strong willed as they come. She had a hard life growing up and her mom made sure that she didn't depend on anyone but herself. She HAD to be in control of all aspects of her life. How is she supposed to give up that control? Will she do it for herself or will she do it to satisfy a crush and help her career?
"Let go of your need to control everything."
Master Alexander Monahan has had his fill of training submissives. He stopped training subs two years ago. His last true sub and the love of his life was a masochist that broke his heart, and ever since then he has become very critical and choosy about who he plays with. He no longer forms any kind of emotional attachment to any sub. When he agrees to train Chelsea under the most strict guidelines, he starts to care for her. He admires her strength and persistence. That was never the plan! He was supposed to train her and hand her off to the Dom that she wants. Will he have the strength to let her go?
"The Dom who ends up with you will be one lucky man."
The interactions between these two characters had me smiling from beginning to end. I loved Chelsea with her "I always get what I want, no matter what," attitude and Master Alex with his "I will take no bullshit," attitude. They complimented each other so well, and the chemistry between them was amazingly sexy. This was like reading a "how to" book for BDSM with an intriguing sensual story behind it. I always strive to learn more about the lifestyle and this was great for me. It was so cool to be a part of this journey with Chelsea and Alexander. Sierra knows how to put you smack in the middle of a story and make you feel like you are right there, next to Chelsea, learning right along with her. I also felt the emotional struggle from these two. I felt the push and pull aspect of their relationship. Chelsea struggled giving up control, something that she has had all her life, and Master Alex struggling with the fact that he might fall for a stubborn sub again!
"Chelsea, at some point you'll understand. You're mine."
On His Terms is the second installment in the Mastered Series, and it is just as good, if not better than the first. You do not have to read in order, but I do recommend it to learn more about the characters that appear in both books. Let yourself be transported to the world of The Den and you will not be disappointed.
Let me start by saying, because I loved book one (With This Collar) so much, I had high expectations that book two would captivate me just as quickly. Sadly, not so. I couldn't seem to connect to the characters at all. To me they lacked any real emotion. And yes, I do realize that this book is about Master Alexander training and teaching Chelsea, so maybe it isn’t supposed to be overly emotional. What Sierra does do, is a very thorough job of educating us about BDSM. She is superb at explaining the intent behind Master Alexander’s actions.
To me this book was more of a training guide to BDSM than an erotic romance. I didn’t even think the sex was that hot. I was left wanting more...more passion, more drama, more action...just something more.
This book is centered on Chelsea and Master Alexander. It's about training and learning how to submit. About reaching over the boundaries and understanding the philosophy and every intent behind. It's about overcoming yourself and finding the pleasure in submitting to the right Dom but it's also about love. I liked their conversations, his patience and explaining about differences between just spicing up sex life and truly submitting.
4.5 Even better than the first. Loved these two:)) There was a point early on I felt like this may be too clinical. I'm very glad I stuck it out and was wrong. Another good book for anyone unfamiliar w/this world of D/s and the terminology. Enjoy!!!
I am going to declare my love for Sierra Cartwright right here and now. This author doesn’t know how to write a bad book! This is the second book in the Mastered Series and I have to say I love this book just as much as I did the first. Ms. Cartwright can write a Master like it’s nobody’s business. Master Alexander is yet another one of her hot, sexy, steamy creations. I’m not sure how she does it. Master Alexander had my panties igniting right around page 16 when he told Chelsea to spread her legs, lift her skirt and grab her ankles. I was quietly thinking “Yes Sir!” in my head. I loved how firm, serious and patient he was. I also really love the female characters that Ms. Cartwright creates. They are always strong and independent women who know exactly what they want and go for it. Chelsea’s character did not disappoint. There is never any kind of silly misunderstandings, between the main characters, in her story lines which to be honest are usually there to make a book longer than it needs to be. As usual Ms. Cartwright wrote the book so it would be understandable to even a complete BDSM novice. I think what I liked most about this book, besides the incredibly hot sex scenes, was watching Chelsea struggle with actually being totally submissive. It was a real struggle for her once she came to realize that to be truly submissive she would have to give up all of her control while she was with Master Alexander. This book was definitely a lesson in what true submission really is all about and it was fascinating to me. Of course the sex scenes did not disappoint. Oh how I loved Master Alexander’s dirty mouth. Since each book in this series is about a particular Master the story always comes to a nice ending with no cliffhangers. I can’t even tell you how much I appreciate that. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading BDSM novels. I’m very much looking forward to the third book in the series, which should be out very shortly.
Favorite Quote from the book: “You really are beautiful in your submission, Chelsea. There’s something alluring about a woman who knows her power and isn’t afraid of it. And when she surrenders it, it’s magnificent.”
Another stellar novel by Sierra Cartwright. Personally, I haven't read anything she has written that I haven't liked. On His Terms starts out stern and edgy. It ends pretty much the same way. This is the second in the Mastered series but, definitely does not require reading the first novel. However it will aid in knowing more of the characters but, they are introduced and explained again anyway. The first Novel is With this Collar, also a very good novel. Chelsea wants Master Alexander to properly train her as a sub. She doesn't come by it naturally and he has severe doubts that she can ever be one. They strike up a bargain but, it is still difficult for her to submit. He tells her to leave and think about what she truly wants. She thinks she wants to be trained for another Dom. She has business plans for him. He keeps snubbing her because she isn't a trained sub. Master Alexander still has doubts but, she returns. That is when her submission is really tested. Will I read this book again. Absolutely. Would I buy it again. Definitely.
Sierra Cartwright never fails to wow me, no matter what the story. On His Terms grabbed me by the hair on the first page and didn't let up. How do you even go into a party wanting to be trained by one Dom only to be intended for another. This book is a sexy romp through what it means to be in a BDSM relationship, from some of the most basic submissive actions, like getting cake and serving it without falling over to learning in great detail what it means to submit. I loved the development of this story as it began with Chelsea as a hungry media vixen and how she morphed into a woman who begins to love the Dom she was just using to get to where she wanted to go. Will he feel the same? I'll never tell, but this series is one you are going to want to have in your e-reader if you love BDSM stories. 5/5 Hot!!!!
I love the Mastered series and Chelsea and Master Alexander didn't disappoint! Sierra does a wonderful job of explaining BDSM and making you fall in love with D/s. I loved the first book, but I think I could relate more with Chelsea and so I think the second book is my favorite so far in the series. I can't wait to read more characters from the Den.
I just liked this book; entertaining, but not blow-me-away-spectacular.... almost a dime a dozen story. It took me a while to get into this story, but then it was really nice to see the relationship build between Chelsea and Master Alexander. I liked following Chelsea during her training, how she resisted but eventually learned to appriciate to submit. Alex was just.... swieet.
I'm a huge fan of the big bad Dom! And this book delivers! But be ready, Master Alex is relentless and unforgiving. But he definitely delivers the sexy factor! A little shorter than most books, but I am ready for another one...Sir!
I gotta say I loved this book. I am really enjoying the Mastered series. Looking forward to the next book. Wow this one was super hot and the sex loved it.
(again: when you know you know)

My Thoughts
As much as i love Sierra and what she's written that i've read, i have to say that this one took me a little bit to get through. The idea behind the story line is a good one, the characters seem to have the depth and dynamic that would make for a GREAT read, but it took me much longer to get through this 2nd installment than it should and i'm not sure why.
While this 2nd installment gives us a female lead that's already familiar somewhat with the BDSM lifestyle, she's really not in it for the right reasons - meaning that she's after the attention of one man, who won't give her the time of day. It's because of this that we get to see our leading duo grown and blossom. Chelsea reaches out to Master Alexander in the hopes that he'll train her and make her into the kind of sub that Evan C will be interested in, and this is the tale of how Master Alex works to break her.
The scening here is great - we get a different perspective on all things sub training related. The means that Alex goes to in order to make Chelsea realize what the lifestyle is all about, and maybe that's what's so off putting to me. His style isn't necessarily what i'd warm up to and even in other series that we've seen a sub trainer in, his approach is a bit more rough so to speak.
The other piece that throws me is that i think that Chelsea could be a great lead - she's got a successful business to fall back on, she's really not reliant on a man to make her happy - she's just crushing on one, yet the seriousness or lack there of that she gives the lifestyle is what makes it a bit painful for me to read.
The redeeming quality here though is that even though the mid-section of this shorter installment sagged and dragged a bit, we didn't go more than a few pages without something hot and naughty. that's something that Ms Cartwright surely knows how to do well. The nature of these scenes is hot - we get a lot of pain and bondage together, and a lot of manners training which of course makes for a great denied experience. I admit that i did skim from time to time just to get to those scenes since they managed to resonate well for me.
So all that being said, i'm still invested in this series and i'm going in for book 3 now, in the hopes that we'll get picked up again into the heat and passion with these D/s relationships. Hopefully you won't take my lack of love for this book to mean that it's not worth it - i'm sure it works for some folks....so with that - Happy New Year and try to enjoy!
Chelsea Barton is a woman with a plan who will not be deterred. She’s on a mission to not only snag the hottest performer as a client for her company but she wants him as her Dom as well. When her attempts at seduction fail due to her lack of experience, She devises a plan and sets her sights on Master Alexander, the perfect Dom to train her, but will she be able to leave once her training is over?
Master Alexander, retired as a trainer and partially removed from the community after parting ways with his submissive Liz. He’s curious about Chelsea, this woman who just wont take no for an answer. He’s out of the business of training subs and absolutely refuses to deal with novices, but there is just something about Chelsea Barton. She’s stubborn, disobedient and a control freak but he can’t help but find himself drawn to her. Will he be able to transform her into the perfect sub? Will he be able to turn her over to Master Even C, the man she’s set her sights on.
I think I have fallen in love with a new author, Sierra Cartwright. I just love her writing style and her characters, especially the Doms, are to die for. I found out about Mrs. Cartwright (yeah, yeah, I know, Late to the party as usual) when I saw “With this Collar” the first book in the Mastered Series. While looking for a book to read, I stumbled upon The cover which I though was interesting (yes, unrepentant cover snob here) and being that I’m really into dom/sub novels at the moment, it was fate! I’m also a series whore. If a novel I’m loving is also part of a series then..let’s just say….me love you long time. Because 'On His Terms" is book 2 in the series, it was only natural that I read it as well ( as if not reading it were an option) I loved the story line, the characters, the whole shaabang!
Cartwright has a way of drawing the reader into the story early on and never letting go and 'On His Terms' was no exception. Although the out come was a bit predictable, it in no way detracted from the enjoyability of the story, I found myself not wanting to put this book down because I could not wait to see how the story played out and whether or not my assumptions were correct.
The characters…. Master Alexander, Chelsea, Master Evan C, even Damien and Gregorio (whom we meet in Book 1) were beautifully written and in such a way that their personalities came shining through. The descriptiveness and the careful attention that the author paid to crafting their individual character traits, allowed me to get a sense of whom each character was. It’s great when the reader can actually connect with the characters they’re reading about.
Alex and Chelsea, each headstrong and strong-willed, met their match in one another. Although their connection wasn’t what I’d call explosive, the chemistry was definitely there. While each had their own obstacles to overcome…. Chelsea’s struggle to remain in control despite her desire to submit and Alex’s struggle to remain disconnected and detached despite the fact that he was falling for Chelsea made for an interesting dynamic, “The Battle of Wills” and I could not wait to see who would emerge the victor.
Cartwright’s writing style allows a man to be a man and a woman to be a woman. The Doms are usually take charge, in control, alpha to the max and they bring the sexy…BIG TIME!( just the way I like them) but this doesn’t mean the women are push overs. The female characters are usually strong willed, Independent, classy women with a touch of sass who know what they want and aren’t afraid to go after it. Girl Power!!! (Someone? Anyone?) Alex and Chelsea were no exception!
The sex was HOTTTTTTT, not too over the top as far as the story line is concerned although if you’re using FSOG as your standard ~ insert eye roll here~ this may be a bit outside of the box for you.
Overall, On His Terms was a great read, if you enjoyed “With this Collar” then I don’t even need to tell you that this is a must. If you haven’t read either then what are you waiting for?
Let me just preface this review by saying that I really enjoy Sierra Cartwright's writing. I've read everything she has out with the exception of the Hawkeye series (it just somehow escaped me). I like Sierra's overall style and her ability to write good BDSM that is realistic and safe, yet is still hot and engaging. My favorites by Sierra Cartwright are Bound and Determined (it's capture fantasy with some dubious consent and a hot Irishman), In The Zone, and, of course, Doms of Dark Haven 1 & 2 (that includes Belinda McBride's and Cherise Sinclair's stories as well) they're all great and I'll put them on my Recommended Read List (once I create it).
Okay now on to On His Terms. The story is about Chelsea, an ambitious professional woman who has her sights set on Master Evan C as both a Dominant and a potential client for her PR firm. Since he prefers his submissives already experienced, she seeks out Master Alexander to train her how to be a proper submissive. Master Alexander is reluctant at first, but she is relentless in her pursuit and wears him down. Most of the story is about the training and it's very informative in BDSM terms. Master Alexander always described his intentions, his next move and the why and the how. There were times I wanted him to stop talking about it and just do it. But I do understand that his intention in full disclosure was to create anticipation and sometimes inspire dread in his submissive (Chelsea) and still gain her consent, i.e. informed submission. Sometimes that's harder and since his goal was to teach her about submission, this made sense. And he always got to the doing and the doing was always panty-melting.
The sex between them was definitely hot. Though, again, sometimes I wished for less talk and more action. They always got to the action, so maybe I should just say less talk, cause the action itself was perfect. Some of their dialogue felt a little dry and clipped and, possibly, too formal, even during their intimate encounters. That could be a cultural difference, since the author is English. I wouldn't comment on this if the story was set in Europe because it would feel more authentic (to me) that way. However, since the story was set in Colorado... it just would have felt more natural if the dialogue had a more casual or relaxed feel. Having said that - it didn't detract from the story.
I liked the overall feel of the book - it was well written and I enjoyed the story. I loved the dynamic between Master Alexander and Chelsea. The D/s dynamic was well written and conveyed all those conflicting emotions that a submissive would go through while coming to terms with her desires. But then I knew that Sierra Cartwright would get those things right and she didn't disappoint. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a hot read with lots of well written BDSM and an alpha male lead. And I'm looking forward to the next installment in the Mastered series.
As with the first book in this series (With This Collar), this second book (On His Terms) is another excellent novel to introduce a novice to the world of BDSM. The terms, training scenarios, roles of the submissive and Dominant, equipment, accessories, accoutrements, and apparatuses used and other intricacies of the lifestyle are set forth in meticulous detail showing that, once again, Ms. Cartwright knows her subject matter very well. Only someone who has done her research so well and who is extraordinarily familiar with the BDSM culture could write prose that is so true-to-life as she does.
The storyline of this book begins with a very strong and independent female whose only interest in the BDSM world and the role of a submissive in that world is to "grab" the interest of a male "supposed" Master for business purposes. To achieve her end goal, this female approaches a well-known male Dominant, who was formerly involved in training submissives but who no longer does such training, to train her to catch the eye of the "supposed" Master. Along the way, roles and end games change as the characters become more aware of the true nature of BDSM, the power exchanges involved and how the surface perception of BDSM in the popular culture is far, far different from genuine essence of the lifestyle.
As someone who has read a large quantity of BDSM literature, some great and a lot of not so great, and also as someone who is aware of the prevailing misconceptions and intolerance in the real world towards the BDSM lifestyle in general, I would highly recommend all of Sierra Cartwright's BDSM novels. I particularly wish I had known about this specific series when I first started reading about BDSM as it is an excellent introductory series into the customs, power exchanges and true nature of the lifestyle. As always, Ms. Cartwright has done an excellent job of storytelling and infusing that story with the elements of a lifestyle that is very often misunderstood and even vilified and elevating that lifestyle into something that acceptable, tolerable and respectable. As is usually the case, ignorance of a lifestyle choice is oftentimes disparaged, misunderstood and reviled. Ms. Cartwright elevates the understanding of the BDSM lifestyle and makes it understandable and acceptable.
As you might guess, I would again highly recommend this book and the entire series for that reason alone. However, again, I would also recommend the book and series just because the storyline is excellent and due to Ms. Cartwright's ability as a novelist.
Even a stubborn, opinionated woman can be a submissive. Some are naturals and others need a bit of work. Is this really true? Anyone can be a submissive if they work hard enough at it? This is an iffy theory. My personal view is a person needs to have the inclination to be a submissive in order for submission to work.
In ON HIS TERMS, Chelsea Barton is an aggressive and manipulative spin doctor. Her goal is to land a few big-name clients in order to help her small business grow. She mixes it up with pleasure when her target clients are Doms. Exposed to a little kinky slap and tickle, Chelsea is determined she can easily be trained to be the perfect submissive. She targets Master Alexander to train her. He isn't taking on new submissives to train but that doesn't deter her.
Ms. Cartwright does a good job of showcasing a newbie submissive coming to grips with a mentality she wasn't expecting. This is almost like a BDSM 101 class yet done in a manner which is smooth to read, if a bit idealistic. The D/s shown in this is high protocol. It's something which is very appealing to many in the lifestyle. Not all D/s relationship require this kind of ritual and protocol, but it is a very popular concept people try to emulate. The issue with learning all these rituals is that sometimes it's just going through the motions and not understanding the deeper connection which makes D/s worthwhile.
Ms. Cartwright shows how it's more than just positions and blind obedience in a subtle manner. She uses Master Alexander to walk Chelsea through the difference and it's so good. Watching Chelsea coming to grips with the need for the connection with a Dom is delightful.
This story is recommended to kinky readers wanting a glimpse into high protocol D/s training.
I thought I had read this book, what a delightful surprise to find out I hadn't! Master Alex is the epitome of Alpha Males. He is a former sub trainer who has been out of the business of training since he fell for his last sub, with disastrous results. Chelsea is a proudly independent woman who has her eye on a rock star for her PR firm. She has come to the Den to find herself the ultimate sub trainer, Alex, & get him to accept her for training. Her rock star is a DOM who she has tried to get the eye of before but who showed no interest in her when he found out she had no experience as a sub. She has finagled an invitation to Alex's birthday party at the Den, where both he & the rock star will be in attendance. Chelsea has 'played' at kink, but she finds out that night that she has no real idea what submission is.
She does get Alex to agree to train her & their next 2 weeks are hot, hot, hot! As always the sex & emotions between the two main characters are detailed & vivid. But, as before, what I miss is more back story, on what happened between Alex & his previous sub, who he wanted to marry. Small complaint, I didn't put the book down until I had finished it. It also has a lot of references to Denver, where I live, and is based in a small town in the Rockies. Ms Cartwright's Mastered Series is one of my favorites.
This book was great. I love how educating the first book of the series With This Collar was into the BDSM lifestyle and Sierra Cartwright continues to take the reader into the realm of this lifestyle with book 2 On His Terms. Sierra has been known for creating the perfect alpha male Dom in her previous books, the trend does not stop here.
Master Alexander is a powerful Dom trainer who stops practicing much after his previous submissive broke his heart. Chelsea is a successful, strong, A personality who thinks she wants to be trained as a submissive to land a girls cruch. Chelsea has no idea what the role of submissive means and convincing Master Alexander to help is a slap of BDSM reality. Soon the emotional feats of the powerful relationship between a Dom and Submissive capture both their hearts.
I loved the storyline. I have a thing for a good D/s book, Ms. Cartwright never fails. The Dom in this relationship is sexy strong and does not take backlash from a bratty sub. The sex is very hot and sizzling!! This is a short read with a very good storyline. For those of us who love reading BDSM book this one is great. For the beginner reader, this book will allow you to imagine what a powerful, erotic thing BDSM can really be. I would recommend this book to everyone.
Loved it! Chelsea Barton wants rocker Evan C - both to represent him at her PR firm as well as in her bed. Evan C is a dom who only likes well-trained subs, and so far has not given Chelsea the time of day. But Chelsea ALWAYS finds a way to get what she wants. So, she asks Master Alex Monahan of The Den to train her. He's handsome and sexy and, even though he stopped training subs two years ago, Chelsea is determine to snare him as her teacher - even though she's not really a submissive.
Although Alex isn't interested in Chelsea's proposition, there is something about her that brightens his dull life. He agrees to take her on under some very strict rules, which she finally agrees to. Neither can deny the spark of passion between them, but he needs to remember he's training her for someone else.
There are lots of sexy scenes and even though at first Chelsea comes off a self-absorbed, over the course of the book she becomes much for likeable. And Master Alex - he's just plain hot!!
if you step into the world of BDSM you know that the psychological approach to it is MAJOR important. for us who read about it and don't try you often wonder what's going on in someones head when they are faced with a challenge of a BDSM relationship. This book is perfect to find out just what goes on in ones head during a scene and what range of emotion does a person go trough in surrendering and conquering the fears and setbacks we have. Chealsea I wanna meet, cause you want to take pointers in what this all means !! And don't get me started about Master Alex OMG !!!!!! *swoooooooooooon* can he be any more brooding, cute, adorable, mean and gruff !!! the first part of the book you want to give him a chocolate factory tp calm him down and a poker to pull out the stick out of his extremely cute butt but at the end he comes to his senses and it all ends well !!!
specially loved how he handled the last part of the book *kudos to him!!!!!* I need to be carried away like that !!!! take meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!!
definitely a MUST READ and also the re-read category !!!
On His Terms is book 2 in the Mastered Series and is Chelsea Barton and Master Alexander Monahan’s story. This book can be read as a standalone but, what fun is that when you will be able to know the other characters as well if your read the other books in this series.
Chelsea ultimately wants Evan C (an up and coming rocker) to accept her has a sub. But, he is always disappointed in Chelsea so she decides to ask Master Alexander to train her so Evan C will accept her. Chelsea isn’t a very good sub at least not at first and it takes a lot of practice for her to become good. So the story goes. I don’t want to say more because I don’t want to spoil your story.
I loved On His Terms and it is a fairly short book to read. I can’t wait to start book 3 Over The Line and I will as soon as I can. I give On His Terms 4.5 stars. This book was not an ARC. Just a book that I wanted to read
This was the second book in the series "Mastered", however it just wasn't as good as the first one to me. "With This Collar" was such an exceptional read and I thought this one would be just as good, if not better. The storyline was great, most of the scenes were amazing, but some of the comments from the main characters were "cold", short and un-natural....the characters didn't really speak as a Dom/sub would (or at least that's my opinion). Every once in a while the things they said would make my skin crawl...not in a good way. I was left thinking, "that's not what a normal sub would say". Other than that, the book was a good read, I did enjoy it and look forward to the next one in the series.
I red this and it was a good story. My question is do they charge extra for the letter "Z", it is spelled recognize not recognise as a matter if fact I check all my resources couldn't and those word don't exist, made it hard to read realizing (realiseing) when I thought the author or editor or publisher couldn't be bothered with a dictionary or even spell checker, it comes up wrong on it and my husband a retired English teacher laughed about paperback novels and the reputation of being substandard. I can't order the sequel because I don't want to roll my eye every page because no one thought enough to spell words properly or however if the letter "Z" is extra for the publisher cost. Switch publishers!
Here we are with another decadent erotic romance from the great Sierra Cartwright. Clearly she did her research. Learned new BDSM paraphernalia and referenced them for future purposes. Alexander and Chelsea's relationship as D/s can be classified as fauxmance since he was supposed to train her like a "fluffer" for a new Dom but they ended up being the best couple that ever happened. I want their love and their relaysh. I can totally see myself having this kind of coupling. Also, I relate to Chelsea who likes to take control and is always calculated. I'm like that, and while I'd love to be dominated, there are times when I want to dominate a man or have a say on what he wants to do to me.
Anyway, enough about me. I just wanna gush about the proposal? God, that was so freaking hot.
