Talk To Me In Korean Level 3 is a Korean language learning textbook which introduces spoken style Korean sentences which can be used everyday in real life as soon as they are learned. The lessons are short, clear, and easily digestible without a teacher or formal lessons. Each lesson can be reviewed with the help of sample dialogues and quizzes. If you learned fundamental structures and various essential grammar points with Levels 1 and 2, you will learn a subtle difference between the endings and usages in Level 3. You will also learn some commonly used basic sino-Korean words in addition to a handful of irregular verbs and how to conjugate and use them correctly. This book has a set of MP3 files available for FREE download at TalkToMeInKorean.com which include all major vocabulary words, sample sentences, and dialogues used throughout the book. If you need additional review or supplemental material to practice what you have learned in the Level 3 book, please pick up a copy of the Talk To Me In Korean Level 3 Workbook!
I can't believe I finished Talk To Me In Korean – Level 3 already. It seemed I only just started learning Hanguel. Level 3 of the TTMIK grammar books is just as amazing as Level 1 and Level 2. The book follows the tradition of its two predecessors: short chapters but maximum information and knowledge.
With 30 chapters in total, Level 3 steps up its game with more linking verbs, word builder lessons, verb endings, expressions, and verb irregularity lessons. The accompanying audiofiles and exercises at the end of each chapter help with cementing the information you just learned.
The TTMIK textbooks are perfectly...fine...sometimes a little confusing for no real reason. Especially for first time reading. I was using this book for revision so I had learned most of the lessons before but some lessons were not well written.
Much like the other books, the chapters are short but clear. The author presents a topic, explains how to conjugate/use the topic in a sentence and provides a few examples. In that sense, it’s pretty easy to follow and understand. There are also 5-6 questions at the end of each chapter, some of which are taken from the lesson. I kind of wish there were more examples/questions, but I suppose that’s why they have an accompanying workbook for each level, and I have yet to purchase any of them.
I like that they included a “blogs” within each level that talk about Korean culture.
have actually gone through this several times, and back through books 1 and 2 a couple of times too. there is a loy of grammar and nuance to learn.... this series really does help.
