118 pages. Another great story from this series. This time the girls go on adventures in Neverland and find themselves in a big fog in Pixie Hollow. Kate rides a horse that seems to take her far, far away from the rest of the girls. The others are worried about her and head out to find her. Girls will love this series, especially all of the fairies and drama. Highly recommended for Grades 2-4.

I enjoyed reading the first three with my daughter last year or the year before I can't remember. But I finally got to book four.

These are good books if you like fairies and want some more of Tinkerbell and her friends. The good thing about these books it brings one fairy to the front of the story. So you get to know that one a bit more. But a lot of them are always around and part of the story in some way.

Gabby, Mia, Lainey and Kate are able to go back and forth to Never Land via a portal now located in Gabby's closet.

They wake up to discover Gabby's room is for some reason full of fog that seems to be coming from the closet. But they can't wait to go to Never Land. They go through to discover Never Land is covered in a thick Mist. They can't see too much of anything.

Slivermist and some of the other water fairies are trying to get their boats to shore without crashing because they can barely make out each other in the mist. Slivermist keeps thinking of something in the back of her mind. But then they discover the mist horses. That is when she really starts worrying. She worries so much it sends her to the library. That is where she discovers the legend of the mist horses. She knows legend are not always what they seem to be but what if the worst part of this one is true? But on top of that they discover that Kate is now riding one of the mist horses. Can Slivermist help the girls find her in time? Or will the legend be true and it's already too late?

I love that this book is so fun to read. I really want to finish them even without my daughter.

I really enjoyed my bundle of the first 3 books in the Never Girls series. They were cute and cozy with low-stakes conflicts. From the Mist was the complete opposite. Kate was on a runaway mist-horse that lead her halfway across Neverland with everyone worried about her. It totally pissed me off that she didn't face any consequences and didn't learn anything from her impetuous decisions. She spent the entire book disregarding safety for the sake of adventure. I have the next book in my possession from the library and hopefully it matches the energy of the first book. Kate was the worst and I wish she would get her act together. I know I'm an adult complaining about a children's book but it sends a terrible message to young readers. Get your head in the game!

One of the strongest books in the series so far. Even as I write this, my eight-year-old daughter who I read it with is trying to change the rating to five stars! This was an atmospheric thriller (though only mildly tense, mindful of its young, target audience) that was well-paced, richly detailed, and filled with stronger character development than past entries into this series.

This is a sweet series, especially good for very advanced young readers. The writing is great and features a varied vocabulary, but the content is light and appropriate for little ones.

This book is pretty good. I liked this book because it is in a series, but even though I have not read them in the order they still make sense.

Basically, the series is about Neverland and the fairies in neverland. In this particular book, the usually sunny Neverland becomes surrounded by fog and it is up to the girls to figure out why!

Anyway, I enjoyed how this one provides some more details to the world building and also allows for some extra conversation surrounding the myths and mythology of pixie hollow.

I'm reading these books with my daughter, and I think this was a fantastic book for a young girl! It was cute and had a good storyline. My daughter was really engaged when she read it and wanted to tell me about every chapter as she read it. That's a big win for me! We are looking forward to the next book in the series. I would highly recommend this book!

I read this alongside a 9 year old. At first, she wasn't super intrigued. Once the horses came into play, she was finally paying attention.

I will say, some of it got a little scary. A bear going after a beehive but making it seem like it was going after fairies and little girls for example. Kidnapping of people in legends. It's all proved wrong, but it is still a scary read.

Reading these to my daughter (4 y/o at the time of writing this) and this one struggled to hold her interest more than the first 3. To be fair, these are geared towards slightly older kids, so I could see how the themes of self-doubt (Silvermist) and independence (Kate) would appeal more to preteens.
