I almost gave this only four stars just because I had a harder time following along than with the other books in this series, and because I felt like the audio sermon series was set up better than the book. BUT… it’s just an amazing message, and I think every Christian should learn this some how. To understand my freedom from sin is one of the greatest things I’ve learned in my walk with Christ. I’m so thankful for people like John MacArthur who have such a wonderful gift of teaching, and are willing to use that gift to help brothers and sisters understand the scriptures better.

I recommend this highly. It is a workbook written basically in the form of a sermon outline, with all the text formatted under number and letter subheadings. and questions at the end of each section. It’s not a strict commentary - you could deliver each section as its own sermon if you wanted to. It includes all the illustrations you would need.

This book is a verse by verse exposition of Romans 6 and 7 and it is incredible! It flows almost like a sermon in book form and has questions to think on at the end of each section. This has been very helpful to me in my study and I’m certain that I’ll be coming back to this later for another round. I highly recommend this if you are able to find a copy of it!

Every Christian should read this. I read it in less than an hour but plan to re-read it often.

This was a good work book study through Romans. It felt like sermons and textbook all thrown into one.

This book is incredible! This book was my main source of reference as I wrote the inspirational books: "One New Dude" and "One New Dudette."

I'd highly suggest this book as a reference for Romans 6-7, which is its subtitle. Your identity is critical! John MacArthur will bless you with his gift in drawing out God's truth for your edification and spiritual growth.
