the farther along I got in this book, the lower the rating. the sex scenes became repetitive, the drama went waaaaay overboard. I rushed through the last 30% just finish and move on to another book. the work up was definitely lacking. and the switches between POV were horrible.

I was a little hesitant when I started this book because I find that there is a very thin line between Erotica that I enjoy and Erotica and makes my skin crawl. So when Jennifer requested I read her book, I accepted because I love her to death and because the blurb sounded like this would be one hot story and not cross that very thin line. Thank goodness I did! LOVED IT!
I was so impressed with the character development with even the smallest characters. So many times you read books and you fall in love with the main characters, but sometimes it’s hard to connect with the smaller ones. Jennifer did an excellent job establishing those character/reader relationships. Let’s talk Scotty…*stairs off into space, breathing gets heavy, some other inappropriate things start to happen*…I’m sorry, what was I saying? Oh, yeah, Scotty. Scotty is like really freakin’ hot. I mean, I don’t really know how else to describe him. He is a sizzling, mouth-watering, alpha male who likes…control; specifically control over Alexa. And sweet baby Jesus, Alexa, LET HIM HAVE IT! Ah, our dear, Alexa. She’s not your typical sweet virgin. She’s a hard-headed, cold-hearted bitch. But that’s because Scotty made her that way. It’s so interesting to see who she was when she met Scotty compared to who she is now. Totally different people, but still the same deep down. She was a very fun character to try and figure out. Bret was neat-o, I did like him just not as much as Scotty. And I freakin’ LOVED Martina! Seriously, one of my favorite best friends ever!
I wanted these two together SO BAD! I thew my kindle across the room probably 5 times just in the second half of the book. It was so emotional. I swear Jen, if they effed it up with each other one more time I was going to kill them. I don’t really know how you kill fictional characters, but I would have figured out a way.

So many emotions and I am still waiting for my rational thought to return because of Author Jennifer Domenico. Her version of a love story this time was unlike anything you see in fairy tales but it was so AMAZING and so messed up I almost had to laugh so I wouldn’t cry. This book is brilliant, it’s twisted and it’s HOT.

Scotty Patrick, all Alpha, controlling, commanding, broken perfection of a man. He never wanted love, claimed he would never experience it. But Alexa is the piece that changes that, she is the one, the one he let go, the one who gets under his skin and the one that pushes him to be….well just read it and see.

Alexa, how do I explain someone that I felt completely connected to, I understood her and as I read her story I was so proud of her. I watched her grow into this smart, confident, independent women. This women who was so strong but yet she wasn’t. Scotty and her together make such a strong love story and such a mess of a love story I couldn’t look away.
”Scott Patrick,” she sits herself down behind her glossy desk. “You won’t like how I play this game you’re starting with me. You’ve been warned.”
“Alex Drake,” he leans towards her and taps a finger on her desk. “You won’t like how I finish it if you don’t play by the rules.”
“I don’t know what the rules are.”
“Yes you do.”
I loved watching these two write their story. I loved that I was able to feel their emotions, I was angry with them, I was broken and I was in love with them. I was all in!!
What I loved is not only did Jenn give us Scotty but she gave us these other characters that I was equally attached to and they gave the story even more then I was ready for. Brent, Oh My Brett, I love Brett, I did, I do. He is the complete opposite of Scott and he gave the other side to ultimate book boyfriend. In fact can I just combine the two of these perfect boys.
“Out of the two of them, I would have a hard time deciding who is yummier. Scott is so edgy and commanding but Brett is handsome and charming. They’re so different.”
There is one character that I loved and Oh my goodness does she give new definition to perfect assistant. Martina! She is the perfect best friend. The perfect shoulder every girl needs and the friend you have on speed dial. The best friend who makes you beautiful and brings out the best in you. Yeah that’s Martina.
“You’re such a happy person, Martina. I wish I was more like you.”
So, Yes I am in love and I have a book hangover and I am thinking I need to put a trip to The Garden on my book Bucket List. I want to write so much more but I don’t want to ruin your emotional adventure. I want to read your OMG SCOTTY MOMENTS. I loved this book, I hated moments in this book and I wanted to reenact moments in this book. Jen left me with a smile, she left me wanting another story and yeah just wait you will understand that after you finish. No cliffhanger but seriously just give me Brett with a bow already!!

Let me start off by saying I am a fluffy sappy romance kind of girl and I am in love with Jennifer Domenico’s Turn Towards the Sun Series. But I do like to turn up the heat from time to time and read a great sexy erotica romance book. I absolutely love her writing, so I knew I had to read Beautifully Twisted.
The characters and the storyline in this book is so amazingly strong, it’s fresh and unpredictable (none of the same old same old predictable clichés) and is full of hot steamy romance. There are several very OMG THAT’s FREAKING HOT scenes but there is also that true love story full of angst and passion that you will need a fan to cool you off.
The story starts off in London with Alexa, a really great female lead that wasn’t whiny but had so many sides to her. At first she reminded me a bit of Miranda Priestly, a hard ass business woman where everyone that worked for her was feared her, that is except for Martina her faithful assistant. With Martina you see another side of Alexa, the boss but also a friend and I love the relationship they have. With Scott, you see her submissive side but you also see her struggle to not give into that. And last you with Brett you see another side but I won’t tell you what and spoil it for you. After being devastated and heartbroken by Scott a year ago in NY, she is now running the London office, built a life for herself and is loving her newfound independence.
Scott reappears in London a year after breaking it off at the same time Alexa’s new boss Brett comes to town, uh oh Scotty’s jealous and voila we have a triangle with lots of fireworks. I am not a triangle loving gal but truly loved how the author handled it. Both of these men are fabulous characters and total opposites:
Scotty the hot sexy Alpha Male
”You are mine, Alexa. Mine”
and Brett, the sexy Scottish romantic man that I always want and love as the main character.
" I want to worship you Alexa. Has anyone ever worshipped you?”
I found myself wanting them both to be with Alexa, I loved what Alexa and Scotty had but loved what Alexa and Brett could have. To have two such strong fabulous male characters, to love them both (yes I did have a favorite, the accent gets me every time), but to be happy with the outcome and not torn with it truly speaks to the authors talented writing.
Now that there is a triangle, the men vie for Alexa’s attention and her heart, but has Scott ruined her, can she actually love one of them. And so begins the amazing roller-coaster, of panty wetting passion, throw your kindle across the room angst and tear your heart out tears all while your heart pounds in your chest. And when the book ends and you get off that ride, all you can think is WOW that was freaking amazon, can I go again!
But this ride comes with a warning: WARNING: Serious Book Hangover is found to be a common side effect of those that read this. At times you will find yourself dreaming of Scotty and wanting him to do things you never even imagined. And at other times you want to throw your kindle across the room and wish you could strangle him.
Truly an Amazing 5+ Star read that has now been added to my “all-time favorite books” shelf. Once again Jennifer Domenico you truly have outdone herself, your writing and your stories keep getting more and more amazing and suck me in every time, so I truly can’t wait to read more of your fabulous work.

The author did a FANTASTIC job with this book. I loved every minute of it. It kept me up until the wee hours of the morning-until I absolutely could not keep my eyes open for a minute longer, and after only a few hours of sleep I woke up again and dove right back in until I completed it.
I will start with the book cover. It's beautiful, classy, and definitely grabbed my interest!
The writing is smooth and the story flows at the perfect pace. The author was able to evoke strong emotions in me and keep me captivated throughout the entire story.
The book is hot! There are definitely steamy scenes in here that will make you fan yourself and I love that they are tastefully done. The BDSM theme is very light, but enough to make me want Scotty to get all bossy with ME any time he wants!
It has enough angst to make me want to stomp on my iPad. However, it also has many sweet, tender moments of love that turns me into a pile of mush. Scotty is definitely a man who knows how to make my knees weak!
I love that the characters aren't typical. They are not the weak girl-dominate guy couple. They are not the save-the-broken-person couple. They BOTH have issues, they BOTH are strong-willed, stubborn and in need of control.
The book takes us on a journey as both Scotty the Hotty and Alexa learn to find a love that works for THEM. They need to explore, navigate, find and accept what this type of love they need is, in order to make it work. Both need control to some extent, and they need to figure out how to balance one another.
We see Scotty the Hotty and Alexa go through a ping-pong match of a relationship, with both characters making decisions that break both of their hearts. They seem to constantly do things to spite and hurt one another. I can see where Alexa is coming from, wanting to be independent and having control of her business and personal lives. Through a few flashbacks, we are shown why she has such a massive wall up. I understand why she makes some of the decisions she does. On the other hand, I can fully understand why Scotty has done certain things that have caused Alexa to build this wall. I understand certain reactions he has. They both needed to learn to handle things in constructive ways rather than breaking each other down!! My heart kept breaking for both of them! I wanted to scream at both of them to THINK first!!
Then alas, with the help of their AWESOME friends whom I absolutely adore, we see them come to the realization that they can not let one another go again, they must work together to find what works for them, they cannot be happy without the other. They learn to compromise, take one another's feelings into consideration and how to balance one another. I finally get treated to the happy ending that they both deserve and it was sooooo worth that roller coaster ride!
I highly recommend this book to those who aren't looking for the sweet, hearts and flowers love story. This IS a book for you if you want a hot, drive you insane, beautifully twisted love story.

Scotty and Alexa are so in love with each other and so scared that they mess up even more and more. I love where this story took us on their journey. There wasn't too much rehashing of their past but we are given what we need to see why they love and hate each other. Those important key points in their history that changed them...either for the good or the bad of their relationship.
The characters in this book are so strong which gets them in trouble. Wildfire ignites and it grows.

Martina!!!! Loved Martina! She is every girls best friend. You want her in your pocket. Love her girlishness b/c we know how solid Alexa is! Martina brought out the girl in Alexa...their girl talks were another favorite part for me.
Things were done in this book that I have thought in my head over and over should happen in many other books I've read. You think you can tell me not to do something...well watch this. Jen freaking nailed it. I could go on with this part but I am going to keep it to myself and you will just see and I promise you will give Jen a high five for it.
There are so many OMG. O.M.G, jaw open, she did not just do that scenes in BT. You will find yourself saying that was so awesome...and then to another thing happens and it tops the list.
I was thrilled that the ending wasn't wrapped up in a nice little fairytale bow. It stayed true to the story and I didn't find myself missing that nice big red bow.

Strong 3.5 Stars
This review has me really torn, thinking a number of different things. Will try my best to elaborate on my rating having just finished reading and analysis being fresh.
Loved: appeal of main characters Scotty and Lexi, successful attractive people with tons of sex appeal/chemistry. Liked how it brought back memories of Gideon and Eva or similar light BDSM novels. I also thought writer did a great job generating heat (fanned my face several times!) I didn't want to put it down. Also fun supporting characters (Martina/Brett/Oswald)
Needs work: now, I can't help but think that the author did herself a huge disservice in making some of the editing & plot choices she did. Writing was confusing at times switching from multiple points of view, first/third and omniscient within the same page was hard to digest. Author notes this was originally intended as a novella/short story, which is easy to see by how the reader immediately jumps into the story without any lead-up or background history and then author tries adding depth at very end with insight into Lexi's family and when she was introduced to The Garden. There were more appropriate times when that info could have been better inserted into the story. I also felt like some of the scenes repeated themselves sex/fight/breakup/sex/fight/breakup, etc. I can't tell you why taking him back in the end was different that the prior times. There lacked character growth despite the characters being flawed. Lastly, the way some of the final chapters were written, I anticipated the ending sooner - I was surprised when I switched a page and saw more text/chapters. This goes back to author trying to add depth past pt of it being relevant or impactful. Made the conclusion when it did happen have less fireworks left/
I really enjoyed the bones of the novel and certain scenes were well written and attractive to me a reader. I just think with some Beta readers, this book could have lived up to it's potential.
Will definitely revisit author's future works in hope experience helps iron out initial debut wrinkles.

For me this author hit all the right places. It was a hot erotic love story of two people who are very twisted. I was on the edge of my seat reading it. I laughed, I cried and was fully engaged and could not put it down. I love this story beyond words, I love Scotty, he is going to be in my dreams for sure. 5 stars +++++++

I think I have half the book highlighted. I could not put this book down, it literally sucked me in. I really loved it, I felt like I was watching a movie play out in front of my eyes. You really can feel every emotion that comes out of each character. I love the relationships and the dynamics each character had with each other. And OMG can I say this is one seriously hot book. I seriously felt like I needed a cold shower after reading this.. HOT HOT HOT!!!
Jennifer Domenico did an amazing job on this book. The writing is brilliant, the character development is spot on and the storyline has you wanting more. This is the 4th book I've read from this author and I can say I am a HUGE fan!! A must read for all those that love a hot sexy alpha male, hot sex scenes and some even hotter surprises.

Nah. Its got EL James, SYlvia Day written all over it. I cant tell the difference of the hero/heroine's dialogue from all the James, Sylvia Day books. It was like I was reading a different version but of same characters. You see if I truly wanted that....scratch that, I am disappointed period.
Seriously, 2 best friends falling over themselves over one woman? ! Really? I just didnt do it for me in this book.
Why is it that the dialogues wasnt as suave as I read them? I mean all the right words came out of the hero and heroine, the right lines to exchange in an alpha male, dom/sub in love relationship are in this book, but it felt too clinical, too pretentious.
I hope we get over this FSOG fog already.

I REALLY liked it (something definitely captured me)

Yup, that is how it starts off…… each Chapter has a heading with something that is said in that Chapter. For whatever reason, I liked that.
This is an erotic story with LOTS of sex – the story does involve some BDSM – but not much – and it was not the typical dominant/submissive type of book….I enjoyed the twists and turns in this book to make it just a bit different that the normal erotic read. One thing I will say…. Jennifer Domenico writes one hot love story. This was a pretty quick read for me, as once I started, I had to know where the story was going to go.

Both Alexa and Scott are strong independent characters…..well they both have their moments of dominance and that of weakness. They are definitely two people who have a hard time being together BUT and even harder time being apart.
Alexa, a/k/a Lexi, a/k/a Baby Girl….(that nickname I don’t think I like so much, others may swoon at it but it annoyed me a bit) is in charge of the London office of Patrick Collins Media. She likes control and has a very cold, closed off demeanor …. OK she is a bitch …. as the story unfolds you find out why she has built the walls around her that she has, and quite honestly, you can kind of sympathize with her. There were flashbacks in this story and I did like to get a glimpse of Alexa and Scott’s past and see how they got where they are now in the story.
Scott Patrick, a/k/a Scotty, a/k/a Scotty the Hotty, is your typical commanding dominant alpha male. It was with a proposition from Scott, while he was her boss in New York, that Alexa learned just what she had to do to sleep her way get her way to the top. Scott is also the man that broke Alexa’s heart.

Brett Collins, a/k/a Braveheart, is Scott’s best friend and the other partner of Patrick Collins Media based in Spain. In comes Brett to make things even more twisted between Scott and Alexa… so let the “games” begin. Brett just might be the kind of man to make YOU swoon.

There are times in this story I am totally rooting for Scott to get Alexa back…. Then just as fast I was thinking Hell NO and wanted her to run away and don’t look back. The author definitely made you feel like a yo-yo with these two and you got the understanding of why and how Alexa’s feelings could be that yo-yo. Like I said….swoon one minute and the other …… Grrrrr. But overall, if you forget about all the Twisted that is Scott Patrick and what he has done… the swoon factor and what he does to try to win Alexa’s heart back …. He would win me over … until he would piss me off again anyway…

I went into reading Beautifully Twisted by Jennifer Domenico with my eyes wide open. I am so glad I did, because I loved it. It was pure, raw, and so very exciting. I enjoyed that the two main characters relationship was already established. With the use of flashbacks was nice as well. I understood why this couples relationship was so intense. My favorite part of this book was just that their very intense attraction to each other. It was so addictive to read. I could feel why Alexa had trouble denying Scott anything. He was the real dominating deal. I so loved everything about their relationship from the beginning to the very end.
The main characters in this book are Alexa and Scott. Alexa is working in London heading up the office of Scott Collins. She is good at her job and is very career driven. Scott used to be her boss when she worked in New York. He was her mentor and she owes everything she learned to him. Well apparently business isn't the only thing Scott taught Alexa. Their were rules they had to follow during their sexual arrangement. The most important was not to fall in love. That didn't seem to be a problem for Alexa she was focused on her career. She had no intentions to fall in love. Fast forward to present day and Scott decides he wants Alexa back. Alexa isn't sure she wants to let Scott back in to her life. It took her a long time to move on and she doesn't want to fall into him again. Having control over her is something she has a hard time denying.
First off the things that go on between these two in the bedroom is explosive. They are so perfect for each other. Their intense feelings they have make it even more wild. I had a hard time putting the book down because of their strong chemistry. Although they are great together they still have to face their past mistakes. Which is a hard undertaking. First they need to admit their true feelings and decide if they truly want to be together. They both have distance between them to compete with. Are they both willing to venture out of their comfort zone to make one another happy. You definitely will learn the lengths that true love will take in this book. With any relationship mistakes will be made, hearts may get shattered, and truths will be shared. One thing you will want is these two to be together. They are much better together then apart.
I know this might be a bit cliche' but Scott was the perfect combination between Christian Grey and Gideon Cross, well without the dark demons of course. Alexa is like the stronger version of Ana Steele and Eva Tramell, I know big shoes to fill. Seriously these two were as perfect as they come. In all honesty Alexa and Scott made each other who they are. Their love shaped them. It is truly amazing to me that love has effected them in that way. I have to tell you to read this, it is extremely addictive. A wonderful setting for a second chance at happiness.

Right off the bat you're given a glimpse of Scott, as the first chapter (and every chapter) opens up with a quote from one of the characters. I loved this!

I immediately feel the desire and I've not even read the first sentence in the first chapter.
Meet Alexa! She's fire, passion, independent, career driven and lonely. In ways I can't begin to express, I'm drawn to Alexa. I feel a deep connection with her and maybe it's because I feel sorry for her, but in all likely hood, it's because the author does a tremendous job at explaining Alexa's personality and portraying her as someone you want to know whether you like her or not. She's complexity personified.

He had me wanting to be on my knees in front of him.

I was a little confused on where this was going because I was under the impression that Scott was just this big shot business owner that had a fling with an employee and sent her packing after their deal was over. Turns out it's more than that, because Scott wants to dominate Alexa, but she's not sure she wants ONLY that. For me the thought processing was hard to do while reading their story. At times I felt like I had to think too much about where they had been in their past to get to where they were now.
The sex is HOT! and as most of you know by now, my Whore-der perviness loves some hard-dirrrty-fucking. And boy did we get some!

I enjoyed this book a ton! But, there were just a few things missing for me. Number one being the ending. FUCK ME!!! That's it??? I wanted/needed something more after the slip n' slide I felt like I was on while reading this book.

So there was a lot of hot steamy sex in this book. Like tons. Probably more than I needed for me to enjoy Alexa and Scott's story. But it's what really made these two who they are. And what kills me the most about Alexa and Scott, was their back story. Never saw that coming. BAM! Yeh, knocked me off kilter. So needless to say, I was impressed with these two. They're smokin' together, but when they're apart it's like cutting the tension with a dull knife! Then throw in the added hottness of Brett and HOLY CRAPOLA!
This story just took a turn for the did not expect that scenario! You are about to venture into a lot of breathless, tummy flipping, and what the hay moments. Scott and Brett are both incredibly hot, and both are vying for the attention of Alexa. Hot diggity!!! I think I wanted to devour both of these men, in their hot pursuit to Alexa's heart. Who has the power to conceal her heart forever?
Ok after all the drool fest that I just encountered, I best get back onto Alexa. That girl has a great head on her shoulders. She is a go getter, and by golly won't let any of these dudes drag her down. But one thing lacking from this ice queen is happiness. Can either of these drool-a-licious men fix her broken heart? Or will she throw them to the waste-side and continue her journey in life unhappy?
So Author Jennifer Domenico did it again. She wrote a book I enjoyed. This was a very tantalizing tale of love and betrayal. Like holy cow....Girl you know how to write the naughty! And by naughty, I mean don't let your momma's read this stuff!! I may or may not have blushed while reading...ok I had some moments! Beautifully Twisted is just that, beautifully twisted beyond repair! Those characters are going to rock your world!! I give this book 4 Stars.

I read this book when it first came out and was so irritated by it, that I put it aside for another day to re-read and see if my opinion changed.
As of December 22, 2013, no, it hasn't changed.
I found this to be too clingy, too emotionally unstable, too contrived. If anything, it's even worse than when I read it the first time. Maybe I should've written a review the first time because it had garnered two stars. After the second re-read, it's been docked to one.
Everything about this book screamed "I want to be EL James, Sylvia Day, Shiloh Walker and Evangeline Andersen, but I don't know how...and it shows."
I was given such a strong alpha male that I could find absolutely no connection with him and I usually do in stories like this. I was given such a strong heroine that while I like strong characters, I felt like she was being stubborn and ineffective for the sake of just being stubborn and ineffective.
The minor characters had more sass, life and better dialogue.
If you're a fan of derivative writing with no imagination, then this is for you.
If you're not, read books by Lauren Dane, Shiloh Walker, Evangeline Andersen and Sylvia Day - these girls have been around a lot longer when doing their angsty romances and they have been doing it better.
I hope that Beautifully Twisted is not wholly representative of Jennifer Domenico's writing skills.

4 Beautiful Stars!
I wasn't sure what to expect when I began reading this book aside from reading the back. This is a first time reading any of Jennifer Domenico's books but I must say I do look forwards to reading many more.
Alexa and Scott's relationship was one that was extremely twisted and confusing at times, but yet we as readers were able to see that they were truly in love with one another and would give up anything for the other.
We get to see how their relationship began as well as the present situations that they go through as a couple and as individuals. Alexa has a constant battle with herself for control and to not let anyone in, which comes across to many as rude. Scott is the controlling man who needs control over everything in his life, but the authors shows us how to two will bend and compromise for one another to make their relationship work even when they are trying to sabotage it.
Overall I really enjoyed this book. There many parts that had me in awe and I was always wondering what might happen next. I would suggest this book to my friends especially if you like a hot hot book that will leave you wanting more.

Def if you loved 50 you will love this one. This book held my attention from first few pages. Alexa and Scott have such a F..ked up relationship. Scott being so dominant. Alexa learned everything she knows from Scott...in and out of the bedroom. It's when he breaks her heart that she turns and runs across the ocean to run the London office. Scott flies over after a year to try and win her back and Alexa just can't say no to him....she will always be his submissive.....I enjoyed how the author wrote in "past tense" often to teach us of their history together.... it's not all hearts and roses though............Enters Brett....the best friend of Scott and the boss..... makes for a steamy little Love triangle.... ;) Just like the title it was "beautifully twisted"

There wasn't anything in this book that jumped out at me as exceptionally interesting in terms of the story line. It's your basic possessive, alpha male boss and virgin love story with an Irish man, a happy-go-lucky assistant, and repetitive arguments thrown in. The point of views and verb tenses used by the author take a long while to get used to and, I feel, distract from the story. As for the steam factor...it really wasn't that steamy. Sure, there was plenty of sex, but it wasn't that detailed or that exciting. Try Olivia Cunning's Sinners on Tour series if you want something with a good story line that will make your panties melt. :)

WOW!!! This was an amazing book.. I love Scotty and Alexa. This is a scorching story between Scotty and Alexa!!! I loved it!!! What a great job of developing all the characters and I can't forget to mention some of the steamy scenes between Scotty and Alexa. I surprised my Kindle didn't have steam rising!!!!!

I am a sucker for second chance romances and the blurb for this book had me hooked.
However, there was more over-the-top drama (of the daytime TV variety) than bittersweet and angsty.
There are also endings that give you a nice closure versus the unbelievable, fairy-tale kind. Needless to say, I thought the story's ending was too convenient.

The h forgives way too easily. So she had a bad childhood; this guy took soooo advantage of that. He wants a sub, she wants love and will accept any sort of attention she can get; especially from the totally awesome, Mr. Built, Mr. Dom. I just didn't enjoy reading it. The Dom/Sub thing seemed thrown in there. The drama was too much back and forth and then the added element of a love triangle....

Beautifully Twisted is exactly that. A non traditional love that is so twisted but is so beautiful in the way they love each other. Scott and Lexi are muy caliente! I loved this nail biter, angsty read and could not put it down.

A scorching hot book to read! Intended for 18 years old & older.....guess I'm covered in that category LOL. While there have been a few erotica books that I have read, OK.....maybe more than a few. But what I want out of them is a story that grabs me everywhere, and that includes my heart. This one did it for me. OMG...where do I begin??
Alexa Drake is in her mid-twenties and running the London office of Scott Collins. She's good at what she does and is well respected by the people that work for her. She has made a name for herself and has everything she's ever wanted. Or does she? She had her heart broken by her boss, Scott Patrick. Mr. hottie, control freak and stubborn male. He hired her, as his assistant, when she was just 23. And she couldn't say "no" when he asked her for a relationship with no strings attached after she had been there a few months. He also promised her that he would see that she made it in the business world. Scott runs the NY office where Alexa started. When the time came and Alexa received the job offer in London, he wasn't going to stand in her way and broke off their relationship. This also broke her heart in more ways that she ever knew.
In London, she works hard, isn't overly friendly with the staff and tries to move on with her life. She doesn't hear from Scott for a long time & when he shows up at the London office, it's explosive. What these two have is a power struggle and they both know that they aren't good for each other. Unfortunately, both of them are control freaks and I wondered if Scott and Alexa could ever keep the hurtful words at bay. When it was good, it was good, but when it was bad, it was really bad. The chemistry these two have is undeniable and I could feel my breath catch more than once while reading this book.
I loved the other characters in this book also. Brett is Alexa's boss now, but runs the office in Spain. He's just as hot as Scott. But I also loved his tender, caring side. Brett is also Scott's best friend, besides being his business partner. Yes, there is a twist, a small one, with him involved. But you'll have to see how that plays out for yourself. Martina is Alexa's assistant and God, I loved her! She's just what Alexa needs. And she's really the only female friend she has. Then there's James the doorman at Alexa's condo and Oscar, her driver. These characters added to my enjoyment of Beautifully Twisted.
There were some tender moments between Alexa and Scott and here's something that Scott said that made me think there was some hope for him;
"I don't know how to make sure you never leave me and never fall in love with anyone else. I don't know how to give you the space you need but continue to love you like I do. I don't know how to make my heart beat normally again or my rational thought to return." He walks around in front of her and kneels down so he can look in her face. "Do you?"
Will these two ever find peace and harmony without all the power crap thrown in? I found it hard to put this book down. While Scott frustrated me, I did find myself liking him. Just wish he wasn't so hard around the edges. Alexa built a wall around her heart and I can understand that being a protective measure on her part. I know I would have done the same thing.
This author was new for me and I will definitely be reading more of her books in the future. I enjoyed it that much and can't wait for more!

I loved this book. I loved how the author started it in a different way than what I've read before. It's hard to explain, unless you read it, but instead of going through the back story for the main characters, you experienced in in a flashback sort of way, as you read in the present for them. This alpha male takes alpha to a whole new level. I liked how the heroine remained strong, and true to who she is, while trying to fight to keep her heart in check around the one she could willingly give it all away to. What started out as an arrangement to show her the submissive side she never knew she needed, turned into this little ole' alpha male losing his heart to her, following her to London (where she moved to manage a department in his company) and fighting to make her his in every way, including love. There were temptations for her, and him in a moment to try and forget her, but they found their way back to each other, and the story ends with no cliffhanger, and a well earned HEA. I was sad to be finished with the book, and with the characters we met along the way, and would have loved to see more of their HEA. Even with the angst I felt in the journey, I'd do it all over again! I'll be watching for more books released by this author :).
