The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest Vol. 17 delivers another entertaining adventure for fans of the series. The humor remains on point, and the action sequences are engaging, particularly the battle against the horde of monsters. We also get a glimpse into the Devastator's power, which adds a layer of intrigue to the overarching narrative.

However, this volume feels like a bridge between bigger arcs. While enjoyable, it lacks the significant plot advancements that propel the story forward. The reveal about the Devastator, while interesting, doesn't offer much concrete information about the true antagonists or their goals. Additionally, some elements, like the resurrection of Matthias' past self, might feel a little out there for some readers.

Overall, Vol. 17 is a fun side quest that keeps you entertained but doesn't drastically alter the series' landscape. Fans will appreciate the camaraderie between the characters and the lighthearted tone. However, those hoping for major plot developments might be left wanting more. This earns a solid four-star rating.

As much as I feel the story is moving along nicely, there are certain additions that I'm not quite sure about
