He may not know how his story on Haven will end, but between his harem of badass women and the coming battle with a destroyer god, one thing’s for
Whatever comes next, he’s going to go out with a bang.
Titan Mage Apocalypse is a fun fantasy adventure containing steam both punk and captivating airship captains, alluring engineers, provocative mech pilots, titillating catgirls, and sensual space witches. (So don’t read it and then complain about the spice. Y’all know exactly what you’re getting into.)
I just finished the Ultimate Supreme Hyper-Mega edition of Titan Mage and this is my totally original and not plagiarized at all, review.
When in the course of human events it becomes necessary to dissolve the physical bonds that connects one with their home universe and to assume the powers of Titan Magery sufficient to defend a totally different universe and live on a ship with five hot women who all really appreciate his new body.
We hold the truth, that this is some kind of "Harem story" to be self evident, and that the male protagonist was not created equally, that they were endowed with impressive "attributes" by the imagination of someone with hair that is most likely purple.
I wasn't completely sure what to expect, as I had never read a Harem Fantasy before, but being "not dumb" and also knowing the meaning of lots of words, had a pretty good idea of what I was going to read. (Side note: I'm not exactly a prude, but I am definitely a happily married monogamist who is uncomfortable with the whole "Harem" thing.) That said, I did skip through the "Haremy" parts of the story, although I'm certain they were as well written as the rest of the book(s) were.
All the "Haremy" stuff aside, this was an incredibly well written and enjoyable series to read. The story moved along at a good pace and I cared about what happened to the characters. Some reviews said this was predictable, but to them I say "all well-written stories are predictable because the author can't very well just kill off all of their main characters randomly, you numpty." The trope of this book requires that the main character becomes very powerful and ultimately wins, because how pissed off would everyone be if the bad guy ultimately won?" The only thing that matters is if you enjoyed the story along way, and I did. Is it Anna Karenina? No. Of course, it never tried to be. In fact, I would say it is the least "Anna Kareninay" book I have ever read and it takes not being Anna Karenina to new and wonderful heights. Furthermore, it is also not Great Expectations, but if you have great expectations when you start you will not be disappointed. (Provided you're not a numpty with unrealistic great expectations.)
What is not to love about giant robots stomping around killing stuff? Nothing. Nothing at all.
If I were pressed to find a fault, it would be that there are no tacos, but they do have great brisket so I figure that eventually someone there will figure it out and become the most powerful person on the planet.
I recommend you give this series a try and if, like me, you're not into the whole "Harem" thing, use your fingers and just turn the pages until those sections are done. I submit that is what fingers were made for.
Locke and the Harper’s Harriers are preparing for the battle of their lives and Havens existence. Peth’s restored Precursor memories of the destruction of her civilization include knowledge of the battle that occurred 1000 years ago and the weapons used in the war. Pious may be dead but his soul lives on and The Crystal Moon is smiling with evil intent while it hurls meteors toward the planet.
Their world may be ending but there is nothing like a good Apocalypse to add excitement to the sizzling crew of the Blue Heron. The Titans are even more incredible and the villains more sinister. This book has non-stop battles and magic from the first page. I couldn’t put it down. I received a free advance copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
That ends well. I almost wanted to give it 4 instead because it gets ridiculous in ways at the end, but overall it really fits the tone that's been set. There's always been a tongue in cheek undertone to the serious veneer. End of the day the conclusion (for me) satisfies, and that's ultimately what one wants at the end of a good journey. I'm happy I got the chance to read the series, kudos to Skye for writing it so I could read it.
Fun, fantastical and absolutely epic. With plenty of Magical Mecha action and magic flying everywhere while Locke and crew battle against the end of the world.
And with a few well chosen anime references subtly worked into the story and world, and a couple more blatant, it was a blast to read and highly recommend!
First I want to say I can't wait to see what this author comes up with next!!!! She has shown a skill seldom seen in blending Fantasy and Science Fiction in a way that not only flows together reasonably but also makes sense!!! I can't imagine a more perfect ending for this part of this Universe!!!
I love how some issues were wrapped up and how the MC is OP without being OP all the time. I do not love how a couple of people I consider harem members feel left out and how a few plot lines that were called out are no where near finished. There should be at least a book 6 and probably a book 7 where the loose ends are tied up.
Fun series to read. Great characters and unique story. Even when some mech and harem tropes come up there so well written it doesn't matter. Humor, intense action, romance and giant robots in a well written story arc what's not to like. I highly recommend this series.
A lot of series ending suffer from a one two ouch and the main fight is over. This books does not. A fully epic and detailed final battle with multiply layers and teamwork! Well worth reading and I hope to read more in this universe.
The apocalypse has arrived and its time to end the party... for now at least. Join Locke as had and the crew of the Blue Herron go forth to battle Avarice for Haven.
