Very heated MMF triad shifter story with pack politics and a bit of character baggage

In this standalone story set in the same town as her Stonewall Alpha series, the author deepens the exposition of story and characters as well as very nicely cranks up the heat. The result is a nice mixture of shifter pack politics and characters with a bit of baggage wrapped into a generous portion of rather sizzling scenes.

Fans of threeway sizzle will probably enjoy this most, but the shifter Alpha challenges and vulnerable characters made it more interesting than most MMF "romance" (smutty) stories.

Well, there were good things and bad things and most of them were typical things. I am not a fan of a woman having a lovely name that shortens to a 'males version' of the name. So at first I had confusion over 3 guys all hot for each other. Turns out I was tired, and didn't notice that Alex is Alexandria for a few pages. Could have been a better story, as the plots were intense, the action pretty heavy, but not much shifting, mostly posturing and finding out the men discovering they like the guy on guy thing along with the guy-girl-guy thing. Not really my thing but I'm always game to read what others may have on their mind. It's part of why I read. I did like how they all 'family'd up' and wanted to work on having a real life, would like to see these characters fleshed out, not just in the nekked way either. Think it has the beginnings of a really good story of life in their town. And what is up with the guy leasing property from Chris? Kick him off already! Who owns the land anyway, Mr Alpha? Jeesh!

Protecting the Pack

Wonderful sensual storytelling with lots of loving and supportive mates finding each other. This story was a fantastic read and I can't wait for the next one from this author.

I just can't get enough of Tabitha Conall's writing. With every book I read, I love her more. There's only two things I can foundering with her books: They aren't long enough (as in 2,000 pages per book might be enough!) and I can't seem to put one down once I start it (which would be quite difficult with a 2,000 page book, but I'm willing to try)! In this book, Chris, who we met in the first Stonewall Pack book I believe, meets his mates in Alex and Ben. This book is nonstop action, and has a few spots that are very edge of your seat. I'd recommend everyone check out a Tabitha Conall book today!

I really enjoy shifter romance books and this one is right up there. We start with Werewolf Ben. He is recently out of the armed forces and is looking for a new home. Then we have Chris, the alpha of the local pack. Last but not least is Alex, a female were who followed the man she loved (or thought she did) to a new town. What do they all have in common? Their mates. But what happens when the woman your mated to is involved with another man? You fight. There were a few curve balls thrown in this story line. I liked that it wasn't a straight, oh were mates and live peacefully ever after.

I didn't know what I was getting myself into with this book. I enjoyed the fight scenes but the bi thing was a bit much. Not into it but I guess its something others could find interesting. It had more then enough drama to make a good story though and I'd actually like to hear more about the other pack. I wanted to hear more about his friend as well and more about just where the rogues had come from and what lead them there. It left a lot of the characters out but in all it was a good story.

This is one of my favorite paranormal books!!! The story line was great and it kept you on your toes!!! Chris, Ben and Alexis makes Protecting the Pack a wonderful suspense drama!!! From Alexis not wanting her mate cause she thinks she's in love with another and all the chaos that is breaking out in the pack!!! This book is a must read!!!

This happens to be a really decent shifter romance. I mean it's not for everyone but the idea of a trifecta for mates..pretty interesting.

The plot and action kept the book going, and the back stories for the three main characters made you actually feel like you were invested in them. I really enjoyed this.

A great story with drama, hot sex and treachery. I loved how the author drew me in and made me love the triad. The way these three loved each other and were drawn to each other was beautiful. I will definitely be trying more from Tabitha.

This is a n exciting read with action, deceit, violence and mayhem. What do you do when your body is screaming for others but you are still trying to convince yourself that it's not true. An interesting read. Enjoy I did.

Whoa! The sex scenes were too many ch for me. I actually said gross out loud a couple of times. Not a big ménage fan and some of the other details were just disgusting. The plot however, was fantastic with a lot of depth to the deception and power plays. Also, the characters had good back stories.

Perhaps 3.5 stars - Beta H looks for stable pack, finds one but trouble brewing. The h asks to join pack too but she is with evil guys. She is very young, naive but not stupid and realises she needs to be honest with her mates. The story shows us that life for shifters is tough, money issues, evil, fighting results in injuries that take time to heal. Interesting and quite different shifter world.
