★★★★★ " A mesmerizing tale, beautifully written, and hard to put down." - Reader Review for the Fae Girl ___________
In this world I am not a person, just an object to own, a weapon to wield…
A dark, fae story like you’ve never read before.
It's been almost a year since Alice found herself in this strange world. She's learnt to use her magic, lost it completely and then found it again.
But now war is here, and Fain is missing. And when Alice disobeys the High King to try to save him, she risks more than just his wrath.
When a chance encounter with a Lesser King gives her the opportunity to bring the conflict to an end she decides to seize it.
In a world where all Fae belong to the High King, Alice must learn how to make herself seen as more than a weapon to be used and a possession to be owned...”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.75 Oh Fain & Alice…those two do not know how to stay out of trouble…both are willing to do whatever it takes, even if it’s wrong, to protect/save each other…I’m here for it!!!
Their bond is unbreakable…Fain still struggles with his bond with Alice & fighting for his brother….Alice struggles knowing she will always come first for Fain but at what cost to them both
As long as they have each other they can conquer anything this life can throw at them or die trying & of course we’re still fighting a Great War…the Lesser Kings always wanting what the High King has…all the land & the beautiful little Fae…some will live, some will die & some will finally realize that staying in their current position isn’t such a bad thing
Do check the trigger warnings…this is a dark fantasy with some spicy scenes but also murder (there is a war going on) & an attempted SA

Honestly, this has been a true surprise of a read. In actual fact I reread the last couple of chapters of the first title in The Fae Girl series to reconnect with these incredible characters to get that wonderful feeling a reader gets when they are simply able to keep reading without that dreaded wait often that comes with continuing series. Okay, so I might have some time to wait til the next installment but knowing how much I really enjoyed this book that idea of a reread before venturing down the dark and winding path to book three is not such a hindrance. Definitely you need to have read the first title "A Place of Smoke and Shadows" to really appreciate this story and simply put you would be rather lost if you didn't. Alice is such a wonderful character that I have come to fully enjoy and so look forward to her tempting character in the remaining books in this truly creative world.

Our heroine doesn't want to be a tool for others, but that is going to take some effort to turn into reality. And first, she needs to end the current war in the fae realm.
This is book two of the series. It does okay as a standalone, but this series is definitely better if read in order.
This is a fantasy story featuring the fae. The story is well written and comes with a well detailed and fascinating setting. The characters are also well developed and provide an excellent cast for our story. Including the fae in the story means there is plenty of intrigue, as well as action making for a fast paced story. Overall, it was a lot of fun. I am definitely looking forward to the next book.
Highly recommended.

Oh Alice - you poor fae being manipulated and used by the men in power. Kinda feels like you're a popstar in modern day human times being used by a record company for their financial gain. Anyway I digress. This is a steamy ride - and read - and the pacing kept you on your toes as the adventures and stresses unravel across multiple pages. This series is turning out to be SOLID fantasy gold. Alice as our FMC is a girl who knows how to play the system and she's going to bring it all down in the next book I bet!.

What's a girl to do? Alice finds herself in trouble again. Prince Fain makes promises he can't and doesn't keep. A lot of action and some steamy scenes. Couldn't put it down. An interesting story line with twists and unexpected turns that keep you reading and turning the pages. Detailed world and well developed characters. I definitely look forward to book 3 & 4.

This is not a HEA. We're in book two of five and far from anything happy except those sweet moments between Alice and Fain. I am absolutely obsessed with their story. They would do anything just to protect one another, regardless of the consequences.
I love the way Sanders handles the magic system and the concept of fae. Being on Alice's journey and her character development while Fain juggles with where his loyalty lies is a breathtaking experience.
Oh my god!!! I LOVE Ellie Sanders's books!! I was weary reading this series at first because the I had only read Good Girl before then and didn't know how she would do with a fantasy, but thank god I read it. Fain is my newest book boyfriend. I am absolutely in love with him. And Alice is an amazing FM she's independent and firery and tries her best to be strong. I recommend this book to anyone who likes Fae romance and enemies to lovers!!!!
—>>> The story definitely ramps up with all sorts of situations dealing with her magic, as well as the lack of it, but overall, her ability to control it. More revelations are unveiled in this second book, and I cannot wait to see what happens next in this enticing series!
