I have to say that this has got to be my favorite eBible. I tried it on 4 different devices and I really enjoyed it on the modern devices. My Kindle is getting a little "old" compared to my phone and the tablet. Out of the 4, I enjoyed using this Bible the most on the Tablet. It was easy to get from section to section and to follow the topics and storylines that are included in this Bible.
All of the extras that are included are wonderful. They really enhance your studies without having to carry around five different books to help you expound on what you found to dig more into. Here's a quick run down on some of the extras.
There's a Between the Testaments that I thought was an interesting addition. You get to see what happened in the world during the time of great silence.
There are 30 Days of Great Faith and 30 Days With Jesus both are collections of stories if you're looking for something to use as a devotional.
The maps are wonderful! They show the full map and then divide it down to fourths so you can get a closer look. They include speech bubbles on the map that tells you what happened at that spot in the Bible. They are very clearly marked and easy to read.
There are Key Verses at the introduction of every book. This is a good place to dig up some memory verses to use. Or it may be a good place to look and see if that is the book you would like to study next.
There are Key Teachings that are a great place to find a summary of the truths that are found in that book. Another great place to see if this is the book that you need to study for the situation you are facing.
The time lines are wonderful. At the beginning of each book, there is a time line that shows the major events and how it falls in history. You can see how what you are reading falls in line with what you just read. Also a handy resource if you want to read it chronologically.
The studies on the key people in the Bible was an enjoyable addition to the Bible as well.
I think this is a great study Bible for those that like their books on electronics. (I'm sure it's wonderful in paperform as well.) It's easy to maneuver and to understand. There's a dictionary included to help you with the words you don't understand or that you want to figure out why they are using that word in that sentence. I would suggest this study Bible starting as young as Middle School. I think that they would get a lot out of it. And the age range just goes up from there. It is my new go to Bible. I feel a little sad for my Bible paper though. May have to split up my studies so that they both receive a little love.
I encourage you to take a look at this Bible if you are looking for a great gift for someone. I have truly enjoyed using it for all the different research projects I've been working on lately. No matter which Bible you use, pull it out and give yours a little love today, right now, it'll pay you in rewards you never would have guessed.
