My Review:
An awesome book filled to the brim with 101 Bible stories from the Old as well as the New Testament specially designed for the independent readers in your home. Each story is long enough to get the point across but short enough to hold those children's attention that just can't sit still for very long. Each story summary is listed and has the actual scripture listed as well to back up the story.
The book is Biblically sound and has excellent colored illustrations to go along with each story. Your children will enjoy this book just as much as my boys did. They love the length of each story and each story has brought about long, in depth discussions from them, so it is also an A+ in my book too!
**Disclosure** This book was sent to me free of charge for my honest review from Book Look.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. When I saw this children's Bible Story book, I couldn't wait to see how my kids would like it. After all, they are better at reviewing children's books from a kid's perspective than I am. Within this relatively small book (in comparison to the amount of stories it has in it), each story is broken down into very simple language that covers one page's worth of reading. Next to the story itself is a beautiful illustration of part of the story. The cover illustration comes from Jonah and the Whale. The illustrations are colorful and my kids, 8 and 5, absolutely loved looking at them. At this point, my 5 year old can't read, but the stories are short enough where her older sister could read them to her, and she would listen from beginning to end. The older one begged me last night to have it so she could read them before she went to bed, and she fell asleep reading. I read a few of the stories myself, they are in a very easy language for early independent readers (like my 8 year old) to read, and they are short enough where they don't get bored reading it.
101 well-known and popular Bible stories are featured in this Bible intended for early elementary age children. Parents will need to read these stories to younger children, but older children who are independent readers will enjoy reading these stories on their own. Each story is based on a well-known scripture, and with characters that are or will become familiar to the child. The Bible story is on one page and a beautifully illustrated picture on the facing page. It is just enough reading for a child to learn a lesson from the Bible without becoming overwhelmed with too much information.
This is one of the best children's Bibles I've come across. Each of the stories is focused and told with a refreshing and positive approach. I enjoyed reading through this Bible myself, and I'm sure that families of young children will find this to be a wonderful tool in teaching the Old and New Testaments to their children. I highly recommend 101 Bible Stories from Creation to Revelation!

Since Reed just turned six yesterday and is learning to read this year in Kindergarten, I thought the perfect first book for him to read is the Bible. That’s why 101 Bible Stories from Creation To Revelation was the right gift for him since it’s designed for young readers.
I like that each story is just one page and has one big illustration on the opposite page. For young readers that are slow going, this is a lot for even them so any more than that might be too much.
The stories start appropriate at the beginning in Genesis and then hit all the major, well known stories of the Bible.
I liked the illustrations that have a soft ethereal look to them, appropriate for stories about eternal life and heaven! Reading this book to my kids brought back all the history and magic of these stories that I grew up on. As adults we study different things so it’s fun to revisit the stories of my youth and get back to basics.
I am really enjoying reading through 101 Bible Stories from Creation to Revelation with Reed and watching his reading skills grow as he studies the word.
101 BIBLE STORIES: FROM CREATION TO REVELATION illustrated by Dan Anreasen is a delightful Juvenile Nonfiction/Religion/Bible Stories. What is not to love about this book.... nothing!
From the Old Testament to the New Testament, children will delight in the stories, as well as the illustrations. Easy to follow, with only one page per story and each with beautiful illustrations of the main character or event of the story. Recommended for ages 6-8, many young readers will find this an inspiring story. An easy way for independent young readers to learn more of the Bible. A must have addition to any library. I would recommend educators, church educators, parents, and grand parents pick up a copy of 101 BIBLE STORIES: FROM CREATION TO REVELATION, you will not regret your choice. Thank you Zonderkids for this wonderful opportunity! Received for an honest review.

101 Bible Stories is a beautiful hardcover book for young readers, either for reading independently or as a read aloud. The stories are from Genesis to Revelations in chronological order, and is divided into the old testament and the new testament. With thick, glossy pages, one side contains the story and the other a corresponding illustration. The illustrations are less cartoony than a lot of kids' Bible books so it might appeal to the kids a little longer.
I homeschool and the first thing the kids do as schoolwork in the morning is read from the Bible and journal about it and this is perfect for my 7 year old to read independently.
This Bible story book is for young independent readers.
Each story has beautiful earth toned illustrations and each story is written on one page, so it will surely keep kids attention spans at this age level. Some stories have 2 short paragraphs while others take up the whole page. Each illustration is directly across from the corresponding bible story. Queen Esther's story was 2 pages.
The book is Biblically sound and the stories are from both the Old and New Testaments. It will be a welcome addition to a faith based library.
