From the very beginning of this book, I felt as though it was a little...off.

Then the "romantic" scenes started. From there it just became...well...

The book felt like a weird form of foreplay for someone. That is about when I backed out of the book on my kindle and saw that it was written by two different people.

I can understand being a writer but at 38 percent into this book, I just couldn't find the interest to finish it. If you want to tease someone, that is all fine...

But, I lost count of how many times Charlie had to force himself to touch her further...or how many times he wasn't ready to do something to Tess.

Then, as things are finally starting to progress (but just barely), Tess has an entire paragraph where she thinks about how Charlie knew nothing of how to rouse her and of how her body works...and then she thinks that it doesn't matter, just his newness was enough to bring her pleasure.

Finally, Charlie is described as "pinching" Tess's nipple in such a way that I literally had the thought "tuning in Tokyo!". That isn't sexy or erotic...

And then I decided I was done. I tried to give the book a few more pages...I really did...but I couldn't get over the, not so subtle, foreplay between the authors. It was ridiculous, it was silly, and over all, It was far from erotic.

I think the biggest problem for me with this book was that there was no real conflict. On top of that, the ebook was in need of some MAJOR editing. I'm not sure if the plot would have shown through after reading the other books in the series, but I don't want to have to read the other books in the series to understand what the point is.
The whole story revolves around just two people, and it's mostly made up of their conversations with each other. You don't get a lot lot of info about their lives outside of this one encounter look like. However, it did shine through that the hero of the story is a bit on the emotional side. Now, I like a man that can show his emotions, but this guy just seemed like he needed to check his man card to me. Of course, this is just personal preference as far as that goes. Some readers may enjoy this sort of hero.
I encourage Karl to keep writing. I think the story showed potential. For me, I just need a clear and STRONG conflict with some decent editing.

Found this book really boring and repetitive. Written in a very immature style. No depth of character or anything to make you interested - thank goodness it was so short as I have a bad habit of sticking with everything I start to read even if I'm hating it.
Didn't care about the characters - wondered how many times or how much detail him not being used to snow needed. Also he was meeting her at 1pm - then train arrived at midday? Snow landing on their hair made them look elderly haha (not) - but then she removed a hat . . . Then the same point about snow landing on his hair was made again (yawn!) Need I go on?....
