In this volume of the Yoko Tsuno series, Yoko gets involved in a corporate espionage incident that takes place on a train. There are mysterious deaths and even a Scooby-Doo style unmasking at the end. It was an enjoyable read.

While I tend to prefer the outer space adventures of Yoko Tsuno, this earthbound entry in the series was actually quite good. It shows the versatility of the character, who fit perfectly inside what was essentially a James Bond-style spy story. Wealthy businessmen, masked figures, fortunes at stake, and plenty of twists and turns.
Pol actually had a more substantial role to play this time, which I was happy to see. It’s not that I dislike the subversion of gender trope that has him the perpetual nanny to the children in the story — it’s actually quite endearing. But the early series set up the Trio to be more or less on the footing of allies, with Yoko first among equals, and the later series has relegated them to the background. Speaking of background, where was Vic? I don’t think he appeared once from start to finish.
Another great story, though, and one that did the characters that featured in it justice.

I usually like Yoko Tsuno's stories to be on Earth more than in space, but this particular story doesn't resonate with me.
Maybe it's because I tend to think of Yoko Tsuno the series as taking place forever in the late 1960s or early 1970s, like a BD James Bond. And here we have a very Bond-ian kind of story. But it just doesn't pique my interest.
I did love seeing the Nissan Sunny NX, but that yanked me into the 1990s and I don't think the stories work as well in contemporary times. This is the first Yoko Tsuno story that brought me into the "present" and I don't like the feeling. Much like Sherlock Holmes stays forever in late Victorian/early Edwardian times, I'd prefer Yoko to stay in the pre-computerized era.

Besser als ich in Erinnerung hatte!
Ich habe einfach ein Faible für Leloups deutsche Bände. So viele bekannte Orte schön skizziert. Außerdem treffen wir Ingrid wieder! Finds einfach schön, wenn Figuren aus den ersten Bänden wieder auftauchen. Auch Kazuki, der Bösewicht aus "Die Tochter des Windes", kommt als Protagonist zurück. Doch was macht der reiche Japaner in Deutschland?
Die Handlung war recht spannend, es geht um Atomsprengköpfe, Aktien und Geheimdienstconnections. Das Setting in dem alten Reisezug "Rheingold" hat mir total gefallen - habe jetzt Lust, mich auf eine Reise in einem Schlafwagenzug zu begeben.

J’aime bien les aventures « terriennes » de Yoko Tsuno et celle-ci en fait partie. J’ai apprécié de retrouver Ingrid, même si on la voit peu et les paysages allemands. L’intrigue est intéressante.

Un autre coup de coeur pour cette histoire :)
Cette histoire typiquement japonaise se déroule à bord du train "Rheingold - l'Or du Rhin" en Allemagne.
Ce volume est un subtil mélange de "thriller" avec une pincée de Sc-Fi (pour la partie "la chambre du néant". ( le tout saupoudré d'un arôme "meutre dans l'Orient-Express lol) .. Bon, j'arrête de divaguer.
Un des rares album où Vic brille par son absence. On ne peut même pas dire qu'il fait la nounou pour Rosée. Cette dernière est ramenée auprès de Yoko par Ingrid.
Niveau graphisme: les dessins de la cathédrale, la gare, les voitures, le train (ses wagons et sa locomotive) => Magnifiques.
Quand je lis certains commentaires (venant de la même personne): c'est à se demander pourquoi elle lit Yoko Tsuno ...
