Byzantium and Beyond

Rate this book
Dave Pearson created an extraordinarily varied and rich body of work - mainly paintings, drawings and prints. His phenomenal commitment to his work meant that he left in excess of 15,000 pieces of artwork at his death in 2008. This book contains an overview of the work shown at the exhibition Byzantium and Beyond, organised by the Dave Pearson Trust in Bermondsey, London in 2012.

Alongside beautiful photography of the man and his work, sits substantial text by Dave Pearson's close friend and fellow colleague at Manchester School of Art, Margaret Mytton.

Additionally, there is a contribution from artist and author David MacLagan and an essay by Edward Lucie-Smith, world-renowned poet, art historian and commentator on contemporary art. The Dave Pearson Trust was established at the end of 2008. Dave Pearson's son, Chris, made over his father's work to the Trust, and a percentage of the sale of the iBook goes towards the maintenance of the artwork, and for the furtherance of the aims of the Trust.
