I picked up this fun little book on a recent visit to Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument. The monument is beautiful and the book does it justice. Photos are great, the graphs are clear, and the scientific jargon is there but relatively light. The road log is great with suggested trips around northern Arizona to check out the volcanic sights. Great little volume.

I am especially pleased with the road logs, a series of driving tours to view the volcanic wonders of the Flagstaff region.
