Dnf on page 55.

This wasn't for me.

First off, it's in 3rd person with not much dialogue. The book opens up with a foreshadowing of a suicide attempt, which intrigued me (at first), but dragged on introducing different people who somehow intermingle eventually. I don't know.

I just know I'm not being drawn into the actual story. I'm getting a lot of how this MMC is so successful, so great, with his "golden" voice (their words, not mine)... and yet he's soooo depressed to the point he's having SI all the time just thinking about his 2 friends that died in a car crash 10 years ago??? I'm sorry, I just don't buy that. They died 10 years ago, and you're JUST now thinking about killing yourself, and those are most of his thoughts within these first 50 pages.

I can't continue. Maybe he'll have a breakthrough within this book, but I don't get the feeling that this story will come together nicely based on the writing style so far.

I like how the author have able to maintain the story though there were also other on going stories. It is beautifully crafted and connected that is why a reader have to be still in reading so that it will be understood why did the author suddenly told stories. I like the fact that at the end of the story there is summary for the chapters and suggested reading from the Bible that is related with each chapter. Truly an inspirational book :)

Overall, a good read. The author does a great job of keeping the reader's attention. Though, I would like to know what happened to certain characters.
