This is the bridal book I wish had been around when I was first thinking about getting married, even before I found the one to marry. Macaluso consulted with professionals, those with bridal experience, and drew from her own experience to present a completely hilarious, savvy, sassy, and honest guide book for those embarking on the journey down the isle. This book is for those who can handle the truth, but might not be getting it from anyone around them. There are some things you need to know that others just don't have the heart to say while you're in your bubble of blissful dreams of happily ever after. Whether you are a bridezilla or find yourself surrounded by crazy bridezilla wannabees, this is the book for you. But this book also offers a fun read for any who have been there, and done that, too.

This was the perfect book to read before getting engaged! It helped set expectations for planning a wedding and understanding that as much as everyone wants to throw in their own opinions, ultimately, what you decide to do comes down to you and your partner. I was particularly excited by the chapter on rings, as my fiance and I decided not to purchase a ring, and instead opted for an heirloom ring that belonged to my great-grandmother.

I've already put quite a few creases in the book as I begin the actual planning of my wedding and intend to use this book quite a bit as I navigate the path to marital bliss. The timeline of what to do when seems like it'll be particularly helpful as we plan, since it all seems incredibly overwhelming right now!

I really wish that I'd had this book back when I got married, because I think it could have helped me laugh more and stress less. It's a great mix of practical advice and humor- like a long talk with an older sister who's been there, done that and wants to help you. Would make a great gift for the newly engaged gal in your life!
