This is the inspirational story of a man who had to go on the toughest of journeys to bring himself back from the brink and reconnect with the world. It is a testament to the incredible power there is within all of us to break even the most hardened aspects of our habits and behaviour and turn our lives around.
What I like about this book is that you can feel the emotions presented by Steve as he changes and finds purpose in his life to be better. You can follow through the ups and downs he faced and the consequences of being a drug addict, the fight to end his addiction, failed relationships, and sickness. It's just a wholesome. But I do honestly think I got bored halfway as the storyline gets repetitive.' He tried a few drugs and then tried to get his life straight. Then again, it's important to show the struggle of it hence yeah that's what keeps me going to read it till the end. Worth it? Yes. Everyone have their kryptonite and it's just a matter how you deals with it
I am immensely impressed with Steve's recovery and I appreciate how hard his recovery has been, however from a literary perspective it was just an unsurprising tale of drug woe. I would've been far more pleased at just seeing a long interview of him.... Apologies for harshness.
