At age fifteen, she dropped out of high school and left the horse farm in Michigan where she grew up to attend the University of Michigan.
After earning a degree in Russian and East European studies, she joined the U.S. Air Force and became the youngest female pilot in the history of the Air Force. She flew supersonic jets, VIP airlift and the “C-5” Galaxy, the world’s largest airplane. She also worked part-time gathering intelligence. Was a good read but wasn’t my favorite. I wasn’t fully invested & I think that has to do with the fact that it wasn’t a Medusa as the lead female. Sophia was a good lead but it didn’t sit right with me that she’s not necessarily an actual Medusa. But I enjoyed the book. Can’t wait to read Kats book.

I usually only read Silhouette romances once a year, usually on vacation. I gave this book a 3 only because it is very formulaic and predictable...hunky guy falls in lust at first sight, there are complications, but ultimatley passion wins out. That being said, I really wanted to give it a five because the plot, though far-fetched, was really interesting and I couldn't put the darn thing down. Sophie, a legal secretary, is kidnapped by a secret service agent who whisks her away to take on a dangerous mission. Her junior high friend, who was of Arab descent, has returned to his home and become one of the most feared terrorists in the world. He has killed off everyone who can still recognize him except for Sophie. She is asked to identify him, but first must undergo Army Ranger/Navy Seal type training. I know, very far fetched. However, if you want a quick interesting read, this one is a winner.

I have been reading the Medusa Saga for sometime now. They are all full of intrigue and suspense. But this one had a bit too much sex in the story which drew away from the real story. The previous ones were a lot better.
Sohie Giovanni was "kidnapped" by the Special Forces (men) and taken to a hidden spot. There she learns just what's in the balance--a lot of people are going to die by the hands of the boy that used to live next door when she was a little girl. What she needs to do is to be trained by the Special Forces and infiltrate when the killer is. What happens is that she and her trainer both fall head over heels in love with each other.
If you can get past all the sex in the story, it's a good one and I did enjoy reading it. And it's great that not only are the men strong in the story but the women are stronger.

Sophie Giovanni was literally grabbed by a tall, dark and handsome stranger, whisked to a remote location and asked to risk her life for a top-secret mission by the government. She is the only one who can identify a top terrorist who is planning an attack on the U.S.! As Brian sets out to train Sophie for this dangerous mission, he realizes that more than her life is at stake here, his very heart is at risk of being lost to the courageous Sophie who, despite knowing the possible outcome, insists on going through with the mission! Cindy Dees delivers another great romantic suspense!

The Medusa project books are fun because the women don't necessarily need to be rescued...many times they do the rescuing.

I'm loving this series. Wasn't sure I'd like this one since the main character wasn't a Medusa, but I was happily wrong.
