This is not a book for you if you do not like football or call it soccer. It has lots of football in-jokes from years ago ( well quite a few things to laugh or smirk about) and is probably more amusing for fans of the game who were old enough to remember the early 1980s onwards or those bewailing the current crap called VAR. My own team ( no names, no ridicule) appear only once so it is good to have a bit of a laugh at many other fans' expense.
A book that will not stretch the mind too much or for those having a welcome break from reading serious stuff.
