Peach-Pit (ピーチ・ピット Pīchi Pitto) is a female manga artist duo in Japan, made up of Banri Sendo (千道 万里 Sendō Banri) and Shibuko Ebara (えばら 渋子 Ebara Shibuko). Their group name derives from the diner hangout Peach-Pit from the TV show Beverly Hills, 90210. Although both have similar styles, with some artwork it is possible to identify which artist drew it. Both are known for their bishōjo styled works. As noted in their books, they are both Geminis and have "Almost flushed our phones down the toilet...twice."

The two of them grew up together and went to the same elementary school and have been best friends ever since. Both started as doujinshi manga artists, but not as Peach-Pit. Then they were scouted by Dengeki Comic Gao!. In 2008, one of their manga, Shugo Chara!, was awarded the Kodansha Manga Award for best children's manga. Shugo Chara was also turned later into an Anime television series.

Nia is super cute, as are the rest of the DearS. I enjoyed seeing more of Miu's backstory, and her inner turmoil. I feel like Ren either has very little emotion, or is just hiding it all for the most part. This is reminding me of a cross between Chobits and Pita Ten, what with Ren being clueless like Chi, Nia not liking her, like Kotoko, Takeya not wanting Ren glomping him, like Kotoro and Misha, and the super cutesy style like Pita Ten.
I feel like I am either goanna read this super slow or super fast. We'll see!

Takeya’s Little sister Natsuki arrives and adds more drama to the mix for a small amount of time before her mom takes away. The real meat and potatoes of the story is Miu’s tragic background story~. Miu also seems to be developing a crush as well on the main character and doesn’t really know how to handle it or put it into words.

”To be a gift is the greatest happiness a slave could have. Ren may not understand the value of that happiness just yet but it is the essence of a carefree spirit. Any faults she may have are inconsequential” A gift is kind of like an old wives tale where DearS get to choose who they serve.

Miu’s backstory is that her previous master apparently got shot, and he was probably the nicest person because despite her faults he defended her. But it’s still haunts her to this day that she couldn’t heal him due to not being efficient enough. “ just trying hard won’t give you any reward.”

Miu reveals that the main reason they don’t return to their planet is because they feel no need to because they are easily replaced and will not be missed. Takeya rightfully disagrees with her and tells her she shouldn’t care what others think of you or question your usefulness.

A new cat looking alien named Nia is introduced (The cover), who is also a Biter. Takeya doesn’t really seem to have feelings for Ren despite her many advances. A student named Hiro finds Ren when she is sad about not being useful.

More characters enter the fold and yet at the same time the ones there only grow stronger. This is how life grows and see them starting to recognise consequences of actions.
