What is left when the darkness is burnt from a vampire before it makes its first kill? Something not seen in thousands of years.
A chance encounter leaves Daniel in just that position. With no memories of who he once was, and powers he barely understands, can he survive in a world where all magical powers are viewed as a sign of darkness? Can he convince others that he is free from evil?
And is he? Has the darkness truly been purged from his soul? Or is it merely driven into hiding deep within, silenced for now but waiting to strike again?
Dark Soul Silenced - Part Two concludes the story started in Part One.
Just finished Dark Souls Silenced Part 11 and I am so glad that there is more coming in this unique series. Truthfully there is nothing else like this out there. Completely medieval setting with vampires that are evil and the hero as a unique knight with remarkable powers. Completely hooked on Simon Goodson writing style.
After completing Part One in this series I had to delve right in to Part Two and I wasn't disappointed. The warring between vampires and those possessed by evil with those who fight for goodness intensifies in this sequel. I found it difficult to set the book down and finished it in 2 days. Daniel, the hero, discovers and ancient Golden Order full of light and power and absorbs much into himself making him a worthy adversary for the reigning ruthless power-driven vampire. Right to the end, I wasn't sure who were good and who were secretly evil. Author Simon Goodson slowly developed the plot and reels the reader into the world.
I loved this book as much as I did the first. They're excellent stories and well worth the read if you favor paranormal/vampire/fantasy.
I read parts 1 and 2 back to back and thoroughly enjoyed them both. It was an interesting twist on vampires, and more. There's plenty of room for more story left in the series, and I will be anxiously awaiting further books...
