This was a fairly quick read. It was a good thriller and definitely a hot topic, sex trafficking. I enjoyed it although I wished my favorite storyline was more detailed, but I liked how all the characters came together. If you're looking for a thriller that's different from the traditional cop drama this is a good one.
Although this book was a page turner it just lacked a little depth for me to give it 4 stars. That said, this was difficult subject matter and whilst written subtlety left nothing to the imagination of what was happening to the Thai girls caught up between poverty and providing for their family. The heroine of the tale was a likeable hardworking person trying to save one girls life through journalism and nearly loses her own life in doing so. I would recommend this book.
First, I love the cover, so simple and understated. And the book inside? Wow. The first page had me hooked!! It is written in a style I really like, with each chapter written from a different persons perspective.
This is not a warm and fuzzy book. This is a look into the dark world of sex trafficking. This is well written, with a rawness that add to the reality of what is being read. Our world can be a scary place, I’m so glad I live in a safe place.
Great, great book! Hard to put down. 5 stars!-Janell at Green Gables Book Reviews

This book was added onto the back of The Bad Mother's Diary on my Kindle, so I really didn't know what to expect. But, it's about a subject near and dear to my heart, sexual slavery and human trafficking.
The story is told from the POV of four different characters as they navigate the dangerous, secretive and lucrative business of sex slavery.
It is a page turner with a huge twist. When you read books like this, you pick out your bad guys/girls as you read and I never would've guessed it.
Last night, I stayed up way too late to read the end. I highly suggest it if you like page turners that keep you guessing until the end.
I picked up this book as it was recommended on the Amazon forum by a well-known thriller reader.
It follows a reporter's quest to highlight the human-trafficking trade in Thailand. Seeing the heinous crime through the eye's of one of the victims is a real eye-opener.
A great read, was a tad slow in the middle but it really picked up steam at the end.
Maybe the author should re-read the book just to pick up on the typos, Ruby changed to Rubby and Tania became Tanya once or twice. :-)
Well crafted, well researched and thought provoking: I was waking up in the middle of the night to read it. I had part of the plot figured out but it was still twist enough to keep me guessing. I'll be looking for more in this series if there are any.
Had me hooked from page one, love the way it tells the story from more than one person's view. Very sad that although this is a work of fiction the events covered in the book actually happen!
Love this because it kept me wanting to read more. I didn't guess who people were or what was going to happen. Keep up with brilliant ideas Suzy. Can't wait for the next book.
‘Bought, sold, missing and dead’ describes the theme in this story. A mixture of light and deep, peppered with humour and horror. Three girls turn up dead a year after they marry. Another girl is about to reach her first anniversary and so begins a week in which to find her. An action packed week begins and we discover the culture of young Thai girls having to be exploited just to save their families. A really amazing read.
This book got straight in with the action on the very first page and had me hooked from there. The book was quite fast paced with plenty of excitement. It was about a subject I've read about or heard on the news so it was interesting to hear more. I'd highly recommend this book.
My hero in this book in Ander not Ruby. The way Ruby deal with Ander by not giving him the opportunity to explained his relationship with Natsinee is not fair. But, the way he kept his relationship with Natsinee by not explaining much about it, worth it. This book meant a lot to me. Kudos to the author.
Excellent book. Casts a very real and disturbing glimpse into the world of Thai sex-trafficking and trading. The different perspectives, from that of the well-intended journalist, and the misunderstood male partner, to the two step-sisters on opposite ends of the Thai-bride spectrum - each really adds depth and insight. The story was hard-hitting and well-told without being overly graphic, and it ends with hope, which in this case, is sorely needed.
Easy to read. Good writing. But the plot of quite weak. Didn't really get into the story or really care about any of the characters. Most of the plot was predictable. Probably worth a read but certainly won't change ur life. Such a shame it wasn't more powerful, moving or unforgettable as the subject matter is a hard, upsetting and current one.
I came across this book on the kindle store and all I can say is it felt like a waste of £3.00. The storyline of sex trafficking sounded like it would make an interesting read but it was very poorly written. The majority of the book was unbelievable and predictable and the characters have no depth whatsoever. All in all wouldn't bother recommending this.
Very good book. Hard to put it down. It didn't end the way I expected it to. Makes me sick to realize that the human race can hold another human being is such low regard all for the sake of money. Eye opener to the world of sex traffickers.
Hard hitting thriller with a truth behind it that is chilling. This is a fairly quick read and that might be because I couldn't put it down; fast paced story telling with simple but effective characters.
This book was absolutely amazing. It's thought provoking, easy to follow and read. I was hooked, I don't often rate 5 stars but this deserved a higher mark than that! Definitely a book to read.
