The dance has begun. Simone’s ready to follow all her desires, but reluctant Elliott isn’t ready to take the lead.

After teasing Elliott into going dancing with her, Simone seduces him. She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid of asking for it, and Elliott appears to be as eager as she is to see where their passion takes them. The sex is electric, but Elliott is taken aback by his response to her, and when Simone reveals her kink for pain to him, he’s unable to accept it and tells her he doesn’t want to see her again.

And then they’re both invited to the same party.

The second part of the serial novel Every Part of You.

Is Elliott’s “dark and secret” part revealed here? Not yet, but you get to know him better, and he is more and more tempting. I enjoyed his soft side as well as the rough one, and I’m really curious about his real self and how he is going to show it to Simone.

He’d felt something he hadn’t experienced in so long that he wasn’t sure he ever had. Happiness.

Simone knows what she wants and isn’t afraid of asking for it. I like this about her very much. Elliott is scared by it.

“It’s hard to find someone who gets it. Who gets what I like… And he gets it. He gets off on it, the way I do. And he’s smart and beautiful and he smells so fucking good. And he’s got this smile… He doesn’t smile a lot, but when he does… it’s amazing.”

So, yeah, Elliott is scared, he still resists Simone and denies himself, but I hope not for long.
Idiot or not, Elliott Anderson had left a mark on her, deep enough to scar.

"You...like this."
Simone smiled at that and ran her tongue along her bottom lip. "Yes, Elliott. I like it."
"Why?"
"Why does anyone like what they like?"

3.5 stars. I've said it many times before - Erotica is very much a personal preference. The stories that people connect to are often the ones which fuel a person's own fantasy. Even if a reader is able to be entertained by another person's sexual preferences, there's something about reading the scenes which tickle one's own fancy that turns erotica into a personal experience.

I've read plenty of BDSM and enjoy it well enough, but it's rare for me to find the type of sexual stories where I say, "that's what I think is hot!" Too often, rougher sex is accompanied by props and routines. I get happy when I stumble upon a writer who is willing to write rough and forceful sex without all of the accompanying instruments. Willing Victim was always my go-to for this type of story, along with a few paranormal romances where mating was often more forceful than vanilla sex.

Thank you, Megan Hart, for remembering that there is a niche for this type of fantasy.

Simone likes it rough. She likes to be pinched, spanked, bitten, and man-handled. She has no desire to wear a collar, get beaten with a flogger, or call someone master. She just wants a man who knows how to give her what she wants - that delectable version of sex where pain and pleasure co-mingle into something on another level.

Elliott wants what Simone wants, but every woman prior to her has been scared off by his aggressive bedroom play.

I was surprised to see that Elliott might have more of a back-story than what was shown in book 1. Maybe I shouldn't be - after all, this is Megan Hart. She isn't really the type to write just sex by itself without some sort of emotional story attached to it. In the case of the Every Parts of You serial, I think it's going to work.

I'm looking forward to seeing what's up next. These characters need to cut loose. When it happens, it's probably going to be a lot of fun to witness.

3.5 frustrating stars!

I'm going to list my frustrations first.

1. Elliot - Come on, man! He is constantly pushing Simone away and denying what's obviously a powerful attraction between them is getting old.

2. The Length - Too short. Still. Although this is longer than the first one. I can't wait to get to the next one though.

BUT...

I really like Simone. I love her candidness and her willingness to put herself out there even though there might be a chance that she'll get rejected. And she did. Plenty of times, in fact. She's my favorite character so far.

The plot thickens a little, with regards to the relationship factor. Simone is pretty forward with Elliot and he's still closed off. I don't prefer heroines that are aggressive like her, especially when they get their feelings hurt when nothing comes from their antics. Simone's not much of a whiner, though she does grate my nerves a bit. I guess I'm old fashioned in that I think the man should be doing the chasing. There's nothing wrong with showing a man what he's missing out on, and I still can't quite figure out if that's where she's headed here. I'd like to reiterate that I really don't think this story is good for a serial. The parts are just too small...as soon as I felt like I was becoming engaged in the story, it ended. I'm not sure who buys these types of short stories but there must be enough to make it worth the publisher's time and effort to break them up like this. However, I would suggest waiting for them to print it as one book. I've lost interest at this point, so I will do the same.

This was definitely sexier than book one. Sexy with a little twist...one that made me have to laugh. I've got to give it to Elliot...despite Simone's tactics, the man can hold his own. Impressive!

Another quick review for a quick read. This second installation in Megan Hart's series "Every Part of You" follows Simone and Elliot further through their rather...complicated relationship. There so many more scenes of intimacy/sexy times in this one than the last, and it makes more clear that the relationship is going towards the route of BDSM.

I'll admit I'm reading through this with a filter because this is not the kind of read I typically follow, but I'm fascinated with watching the banter and dialogue between Simone and Elliot. Their personalities are strongly asserted and they're intriguing to watch in their interactions and developing relationship (however complicated it may be). Sadly, there's still a level of character background development that feels absent, and that might be because this is in a serial format and more in an episodic leaning. I try to ease myself into this thinking like I'm watching the episodes of a TV show, and that helps the transition. So far, I have to give credit to Hart in that she does a great job of pulling me into the story and allowing me to see the perspectives of both characters in the moment. This is something that a lot of serial romance/erotic writings I've picked up don't do, so I'm still holding interest in this respective series to see where it leads.

If there's one thing that I like also about this series - it ends on a note of intrigue, but not a cruel unexpected cliffhanger like other narratives I've read. So, definitely among the stronger offerings of its genre and presentation I've come across.

Overall score: 3/5 stars

"When you want me, you'll know were to find me."

The story continues with its fun, steamy & emotional flow. The heat level is rising people! Damn you Elliot for playing hard to get, but the anticipation and the waiting was worth it. I think it's the first time I'm reading a book where the guy is the one who's been playing hard to get and not the other way around, slightly unbelievable- don't you think ;), but it was fun and refreshing to read about "the traditional roles" being switched a bit.

Simone likes her sex rough and mixed with a little pain and she knows that Elliot is the right man to give it to her just the way she wants it, BUT Elliot is anxious to break his 1. rule when dating and that's => 1. Thou Shalt Not Go On a 2nd Date With The Same Woman , even though he is aware that they are more than compatible in the bedroom. I'm glad that they have a more lighter version of bdsm relationship without the playroom and all the equipment. The sex scenes were R-rated and in a good way. This is not one of my favorite stories by Hart, I still prefer her famous masochist reads, but I did enjoy it very much.

What will it take to get Elliot back in Simone's bed?
Is he there to stay this time?

Buy the story & find out.

"Then, before he could stop her, she swung her leg over his lap. Straddling him she put her hands on his shoulders, her thumbs brushing his neck.
She put her mouth to his ear:" I like it when you hurt me."

Nice ARC provided through NetGalley for an honest review. 3.5 STARSWhen Simone last saw Elliot, he was leaving her place after kissing her. Now they've run into each other again in the elevator at the offices. Simone talks him into joining her for the night (without out much effort) after finding out her old lover is now in love with his new woman. The evening is ELECTRIC, with both Simone and Elliot getting what they want from each other. But that's the problem, and it scares Elliot into backing away from her.Now they are acting as strangers, not acknowledging each other if they cross each others path. But is that what Elliot really wants? This one gave a little more insight into what's going on in Elliot's head. We also understand a little more about Simone. And most definitely their first sexual encounter was sexy.I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where this story goes.

I read all 5 parts of this series in the same day, so I'm reviewing the whole series as one thing, as I didn't pay too much attention to each individual book. I do know that I was extremely happy to have the next one to continue straight onto at the end of each part as they always tend to leave you hanging for more each time...

I really enjoyed this one! it was quick, a bit of fun, hot & sexy, and also quite refreshing from the almost standard hot, rich, BDSM Dominant, male lead character. Yes, Elliot was pretty much that guy, but he wasn't. Rich - yes, hot - yes, BDSM master - absolutely terrified of it & what his preferences in the bedroom make him as a man - a monster who beats women.

The BDSM goddess in this story is Simone. The straight-up, tell it like it is, not afraid to ask for what she wants, pleasure/pain seeker. She too, like Elliot, despises the BDSM lifestyle of doms & subs, masters & slaves. Yes, she's tried it, but her outspoken, take no bullshit personality does not make for a good submissive, but she can take anything dished out to her, especially if that involves a good spanking or even a caning.

These two are a match made in heaven. Able to truly fulfil their fantasies together, & feed their desires to their hearts content. That is, until Simone's openness & Elliott's fears come face to face in a way that very nearly destroys them both.

Simone will not chase after a man. She doesn't need to. But when Elliott runs, she's very tempted to hightail it after him.

Sometimes the best thing that ever happened to you will cost you the highest price. & sometimes the greatest risks reap the highest rewards. But are Elliot & Simone prepared to risk it all for the chance of a scorching hot spankingly ever after?

Simone continues to be a spitfire. She's a female I can definitely admire. If a man doesn't want her and tells her to go, she listens and doesn't waste her time, no matter how much she crushes on him. Elliot is an idiot. He is an asshole and I hope he loses Simone to someone really good for her and can meet her needs.

Ms. Hart is a bloody cock-tease. She leaves the first part of the story with a hint of potential kinky club goodness. Instead, the reader is in a dance club. Just a bloody dance club! Simone wants to dance with Elliot and he blows her off until another guy shows interest. Really? Elliot, just piss on her to mark her your territory and then run away like the coward you are! I don't like Elliot. Still, I really enjoy the chemistry between these two characters. The dialogue is witty and amusing. Simone can deliver quite a few zingers.

This is yet another well written and tightly compacted story with a teasing plot line. Ms. Hart grabs my attention and I'm riveted till the end. The sex is sensual yet steamy hawt without a bit of kinkiness. Ms. Hart certainly excels in her lovemaking scenes. The bit of rough play combined with Elliot's turmoil does generate an understandable if disappointing conflict. The ending comes all too quickly as I pine away for the next installment. I wait with bated breath as Ms. Hart taunts me. Recommended for romantics holding out for a happily ever after.

Every Part of You: Resist Me by author Megan Hart is definitely a middle book. It is the second book in Every Part of You series. Since this series is almost serial style writing you really need to start with the first book.
I did not and was a bit lost on some details.
Elliott has been resisting Simone for a while now. One sexy dance though has him wanting her. But he is hesitant to give into the darker desires Simone has.
I think he is more scared to give his heart when he doesn’t yet trust himself.
This is a fast read. I liked this snippet into their lives and would like to read more in the future.

As we slowly get to know the characters better in this second installment of the Every Part of You serial, I’m finding that I understand better some of the things I was questioning in the first part. Simone knows very well what she wants and goes after it, in a way, unapologetically. Elliott on the other hand is running away from who he is. And I can’t wait to figure out the reason why.

Being that this installment is only about 50 pages I wouldn’t want to ruin it by telling you what happens. Just know that things start off where they left off in the first one. They get better, they have set backs.

RESISTS ME gives us some answers and it definitely turns up the heat. But it also opens up this story to the more emotional and deep storyline I was expecting to see from Ms. Hart. There is no doubt Simone and Elliott can be explosive together, but also there’s no doubt there will still be a lot of demons to slay. I expect the rest of this story will be heat, healing and self realization. I cannot wait!

I do wish this installment would’ve ended in a more gripping cliffhanger, though. Yeah, I know. Crazy of me to ask.

I'm still struggling with writing a "review" for only a small part of a story, but I am not going to stop now. :) Not when I enjoyed what I read.

I really liked this part, too. The thing Simone and Elliott had going on, got a bit more serious. I felt like we were getting somewhere, but then Elliott went and ruined it. Oh, Elliott. At the same time he just makes me want to slap him and hug him. By now I got used to heroines having lots of issues in books by Megan Hart, and the heroes to be the stable ones, the ones that pursue the heroines, and help them. At least that was the case with Megan Hart books I've read so far. Here there was Elliott who obviously had some serious issues, and he was apparently carrying a heavy burden from the past. He was still a big mystery in this part. To be fair, a few new pieces of information were revealed, but that only raised new questions.

Simone was still that confident, witty, smart woman, who felt good in her skin, and kept pushing Elliott's buttons, but here she showed her vulnerable side, which only made me like her more. I admire her persistence, even when Elliott makes one step forward, and two steps back. That was a nasty habit of his which would take an emotional toll on anyone, even Simone.

I'm still not a fan of this whole publishing stories part by little part. It's lucky I'm such a big fan of this author, and that Simone and Elliott have grown on me, and now I really want to know what next happens between them.

Part 2: Simone invites Elliott to join her for the evening at a club. Ben though she knows he's completely out of his element, Simone is fascinated by how smooth Elliott is, even leading her around the dance floor with expertise. She invites him back to her place where he gives her the things she sexually craves, only to literally walk out on her. Simone is a confident woman and goes after what she wants; Elliott.

Elliott is consumed with Simone. He's never been more turned on yet more terrified at the same time. How could she possibly know so much about him; know and respond to his secret desires. His anxiety causes him to withdraw from her fleeing her he doesn't want to see her again, when really he does want to and much more.

Another great read from Megan Hart and quite the tease. I am personally not into pain, but it is so refreshing to read something different than reading about being tied up, spanked, etc by a rich man. Simone is real and her confidence and independence is as admirable. I look forward to reading the next installment in this series. Things are heating up. 4 stars.

So.... this doesn't seem to be available anymore. I inadvertently read part 2 in a 5 part series that are, I suspect, a full novel length when put together. Frustrating because this ends on a low note. But there you have it.

If I'd been able to read more of the story, I suspect I would be happier with it.

I reviewed this at MustReadBooksOrDie with my friend Shelley!

Shel: I know what you're thinking. You're thinking you can't do a novella series..you don't like the waiting...they are just getting going and POOF! it's over for that installment...the characters aren't as developed...and so on and so on. Court: I've so thought that before, but keep reading!

Shel: I think Megan Hart just may be the writer to convince you that a novella series will work for you. First of all, by the time you read this review all of the series will be released. Court: They are ALL out! And so fracking good. Shel: Second of all, the series is completely filling. The characters are not short changed, neither is the plot or the steam. Of course, when a writer is budgeting his or her words, the details may be fewer and the pace, faster..but I didn't mind it one bit. I found this series to be paced nicely and the writing very clean--not bogged down on anything unnecessary. Court: I had deeply strong feelings for Simone and while my feelings for Elliott tended to be toward the pissed off side of things, he was a very multi-dimensional character as well. My constant thoughts of Simone were that she is fierce, and strong...yet submissive. That was quite a feat for me to see pulled off so I was very excited to see what sort of journey Simone would take through each novella I read.

Shel: The story is interesting. There's the instant intrigue of Simone and her voyeurism. There's the simple and not so simple Elliot. There's the complication of their sex life and what is deemed right/good/acceptable. There are hurt feelings and confused feelings and honest feelings. I loved how in so few words, Megan Hart gives us a very raw story of the pleasure and pain of engaging in their relationship. Elliot is so infuriating and Simone is so strong and vulnerable and good. I loved Simone...more women could stand to be as honest as she was in this series; and, I love how she refuses to apologize for who she is and what she likes. And, Elliot finds a way to be less of an asshole by the end too...as he learns how to accept his truth and tell it to Simone (and more importantly, to himself). Court: OMG Elliott...he killed me...but really, just like Simone he was brutally honest too. He was so straight laced and rigid in some things...but still was an incredibly hot lover in others. He had so much hate and anger for things that had happened in his life, that he went through a great part of it alone. I didn't want him to be alone but on the other side I needed him to hardcore get his head out of his butt, pronto!

Shel: Anyway, I could ramble on for a while about why I enjoyed this series..instead, you should buy it and let us know what you think. Court: Please do. We can ramble on about this forever, and really want to!

Now this is something completely different to the books I usually read. It's a little series of short ebooks that charts the relationship forming between two people who each have slightly more obscure needs. This author was recommended to me by a good friend and I've found that this author has a writing style that is immediate and just pulls you in. I love discovering new authors and am so excited to be reading this new series.
Simone is an unusual woman in many ways. She's good at her job , has great friends, even knows what she really wants out of life but just hasn't found the right person to complete her. It's not essential for her to be in a relationship but sometimes true trust can only come from being with someone who really knows you and your needs.
Elliott is the man that has most definitely got Simone's attention. She's watched him for a while now and is just finally in a position to find out what makes him tick. He's agreed to go with her to a club but does he want her or just anyone? He's not the easiest guy to read but something about him calls to Simone. Simone knows that she's a little hedonistic but Elliott seems to be a perfect match for her but how will she convince him of that? She's laying it all on the line but will Elliott ever bite?
I was swept away by this admittedly short read. It's such an appealing storyline with characters who both clearly fit each other and yet nothing is straight forward. Simone is a very brave strong heroine who has the courage of her convictions and isn't afraid to make her stand and I love that about her. She's unafraid to explore her own sexuality and even if her quirks are not exactly vanilla she's not going to be abused by anyone.
As for Elliott well I think his family background has scarred him in ways that as a reader we are just becoming to uncover and it's truly tantalising . This isn't a light hearted read and deals with the cruel reality of senile dementia ( unfortunately something I know from personal experience) so don't think that reading about these characters will leave you untouched because it won't . So many erotic stories feature BDSM and glorify the submissive roles whereas here we get to see a different side of physical release. A story in which (so far) although pain is acceptable the usual bondage /slave type scenario is not the most important part.
It's an amazing short read that begs to be followed up and I heartily recommend this series but please please read them in order and follow the heart warming journey these characters are taking.

3.5 Stars - Every Part of You: Resists Me is the second installment in a five part erotic serial by Megan Hart.

Since first meeting Simone Kahan, Elliott Anderson hasn’t been able to stop thinking about her. But most of all, he can't stop thinking about the way she reacted to him. Pushing into his hard caresses. Embracing them. Yet he’d practically run from her apartment the night she’d writhed and moaned at the sort of touch most other women decried.

After teasing Elliott into going dancing with her, Simone sets out to seduce him. She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to ask for it.

“It’s hard to find someone who gets it. Who gets what I like. And who likes it, too, without all the trappings and … and rigamarole. Without the bondage and submission stuff. And he gets it. He gets off on it, the way I do. And he’s smart and beautiful and he smells so fucking good. And he’s got this smile. He doesn’t smile a lot, but when he does … it’s amazing.”

The sex is electric, but Elliott is taken aback by his response to her. There's a reason why he dated women who didn’t like the dark and secret part of him he tried to keep hidden. It was easier to pretend he didn’t want to pinch and bite, to leave his mark on sleek, soft skin. To hear a woman cry out in pain as much as pleasure. It was easier to push all of that aside, and to tell himself a life lived without being entirely satisfied was the way it worked for most people. So when Simone reveals her kink for pain, Elliott tells her he doesn’t want to see her again.

S&M isn't something that really interests me, yet I'll admit that I'm enjoying the darker edge to this story ... so far. What this isn't, is BDSM. He isn't dominant and she isn't submissive—far from it, in fact. Nor is bondage involved. The protagonists are quirky and likable, and both have a pain fetish. He likes to give it, and she likes to receive it. The writing is intelligent and edgy, the dialogue witty and amusing, the story sensual and erotic, and getting sexier with each installment!

Content: graphic language, explicit sex, biting, pinching and edge play.

I also recommend: Every Part of You Tempts Me (Every Part of You, #1) by Megan Hart

It is so hard to review serial novels. Does this instalment work on its own? Does it work on its own while furthering the overall story? Where the blazes is this story going anyways? What if we love a particular installment and then the last ones are totally boring and not worth the effort? So read reviews like this with that in mind. This could all be for nothing, but who knows? And we're not going to go through this ridiculous exercise every time we review one of these, are we?

Screw it. We're not curing cancer here. Here's what I thought of the second installment of Megan Hart's serial novel, Every Part of You, this one being Resists Me.

Hot. HOT! Yep, if you're going to keep something like this interesting you've got to keep the heat level up there, and so far, so good. But also the tension and the character development and the complexity of the story line. All done fantastically. In Resists Me, Simone's managed to convince reluctant ol' Elliott to go dancing. And they very much surprise each other. And then, well...really, I don't want to give anything away. Just, hot, and still keeping me very interested, and I'm hooked. I love Simone. She's very refreshing. The jury's still out on Elliott, but then that's kind of his thing. Being all hard to read and withdrawn. Mmphf. Love that. Although it is kind of odd that he's not curious why Simone knows so much about him. Or maybe he can't be bothered to be curious, what with being important and a tortured soul and all.

The next one, Taunts Me (sounds promising!), will be out March 4.

I read this in the five separate, short installments but will review it as a whole.
Simone is full of self-confidence with a side of naughty. While at work she has enjoyed her voyeuristic side watching the attractive male below bring back many woman to have his way with in his office. Having a penchant for masochism, she’s learned to ask for exactly what she wants and if the chemistry doesn’t complement to move on quickly. She continues her brazenness by virtually inviting herself to a party with the male one evening.

Elliott is a strange one. He’s a little bit OCD, a little bit germaphobe, and quite a bit neurotic. Coming from an abusive and neglected childhood, he has worked hard to overcome the obstacles placed upon him. He focuses on taking care of Molly and not becoming like his father. He has spent much of his free time with a parade of model type blondes but no one that he ever wants to be around more than a couple of dates.

This wasn’t my favorite series. It felt like there was more angst with a trivial amount of satisfaction. I didn’t get find much enjoyment in the flat characters or the dysfunctional connection they share. Elliott is constantly pushing Simone away and then running back to her; talk about mixed signals. In a lot of ways, I think this was the biggest turn off. Because there was so much rebuffing, it made me wonder where the plot was going. There were moments I enjoyed the rapport between Simone and Elliott but there were even more where I was left shaking my head. After the pages has settled or more aptly the kindle recharged, I think perhaps I didn’t get what was the author was trying to convey.

Rating: 2.5 stars

Every Part of You Resists Me
Megan Hart
This story was given to me in exchange for an honest review.
Simone and Elliot are still dancing around their attraction to one another. The sexual tension is simply off the charts. After hurting her feelings by not sleeping with her and easing their joint sexual tensions Elliot has been ignoring Simone for over two weeks.
He agrees to go on a date with her, so she takes him to a place she thinks he will hate, a bar with loud music, dark lighting and gothic decor. He surprises her watching her dance and then dancing with her. They are both turned on and finally give in to their urges. They have an amazing time together. They both let go and enjoy one another. She decides to trust him with her inner most wants and needs.
" I like it when you hurt me."
We are introduced to a new character " Molly" she is in a nursing home suffering from brain trauma induced dementia. She is very important to him and he visits her weekly and brings her flowers. The mystery is who she is? We are not to know? Not in this book anyway.
Now of course Elliot is still battling with his inner demons, he does not think that he should like the things he does, he doesn't thing Simone really likes them either, she is just trying to please him and then she will do what they all do. She will show digust for him and walk away. So he comes out fighting " I don't think we should see each other again. Don't come to my office."
Well, another cliffhanger ending. How does she do things things over and over again. Why am I still allowing myself to be sucked into these books. I must now go and continue, I need to find out what happens next, I need book three. I would rate this story 5/5 or higher if I could

SERIES REVIEW

EVERY PART OF YOU is a serial novel made up of five books. It’s a dark, erotic, well written story about Elliot Anderson, a partner in a law firm and Simone Kahan, who works in the same building as Elliot. While Simone is working late one night, she looks out her window and notices Elliot’s activities in his office after hours. After that, whenever Simone works late, she watches Elliot hook up with different women in his office late at night. One night when Elliot and Simone are both working late, they accidentally meet in the elevator. Elliot he is arrogant, selfish and terse, but Simone can’t help being attracted to him. Simone is confident in who and what she is. She isn’t intimidated by other people, knows what she wants and always speaks her mind. Simone knows she is flawed, but is able to accept herself for who she is. Elliot is also flawed, but has a hard time acknowledging who he is. At forty two Elliot is inhibited, introverted and not honest with himself or other people. Elliot and Simone are two lost souls who are drawn to each other.

This is a well crafted story with great character development. As the story unfolds we understand Elliot and the circumstances that made him the man he is today. Although, there isn’t much information about Simone’s past. Each book is about sixty pages and continues where the last book left off. I don’t understand why Megan Hart wrote this as serial and I have to admit, it spoiled the story for me. For that reason, I gave the book a lower rating. That being said, I think Megan Hart writes an intense, edgy, sexy read. There is some BDSM in the story.

Megan Hart's serialized novel Every Part of You is broken down into five installments, each of which are titled to reflect the topic for each. In Tempt Me It we are introduced to Simone and her fascination with Elliot and his liaisons which she has a very good view of from her office. Elliot seems confused as to how to deal with his unusual desires. Meeting Simone seems to confuse him even more. They share the same dark passion but where Simone welcomes it Elliot seems to run away from it. In Resists Me, the relationship progresses, with Elliot still denying what he's feeling and what Simone seems to represent for him. Passion overrules his logic and Simone gets what she wants. It didn't end quite the way they wanted. Taunts Me and Denies Me just continues what essentially is the theme of this novel. For Simone its falling in love with the perfect man who seems to deny what he wants and thinks what they have is wrong and for Elliot it seems to be a lot of daddy issues. Megan Hart excels in these type of novels where you can't see the main lead ever getting together at all despite the feelings and the rightness of it. The sexual scenes are definitely steamy, the BDSM theme is lightly tackled but more implied and the pathos and tone is definitely tragic despite the almost wry humor of the heroine. The novellas are pure erotica however the developing relationship between the leads truly captures the readers interest making you just want to keep turning the pages. The ending chapter definitely is keeping everyone on edge.

As we slowly get to know the characters better in this second installment of the Every Part of You serial, I'm finding that I understand better some of the things I was questioning in the first part.  Simone knows very well what she wants and goes after it, in a way, unapologetically.  Elliott on the other hand is running away from who he is.  And I can't wait to figure out the reason why.

Being that this installment is only about 50 pages I wouldn't want to ruin it by telling you what happens.  Just know that things start off where they left off in the first one.  They get better, they have set backs.

RESISTS ME gives us some answers and it definitely turns up the heat.  But it also opens up this story to the more emotional and deep storyline I was expecting to see from Ms. Hart.  There is no doubt Simone and Elliott can be explosive together, but also there's no doubt there will still be a lot of demons to slay.  I expect the rest of this story will be heat, healing and self realization.  I cannot wait!

I do wish this installment would've ended in a more gripping cliffhanger, though.  Yeah, I know.  Crazy of me to ask.

I want to start off by saying that when I read part one of this serial, I enjoyed it. I was looking forward to continuing it, but something happened along the way. I got sidetracked, there were reading challenges that I took part in, work got busy...you know the drill. Needless to say it's been over two years (closer to three) and I'm revisiting this serial. That may have something to do with my reaction to EVERY PART OF YOU: RESISTS ME, but we'll get to that in a second.

EVERY PART OF YOU: RESISTS ME takes up right where the first book left off. Simone and Elliott are still dancing around each other figuratively and literally. After going out dancing, their attraction takes them to the bedroom but Elliott leaves Simone without a backward glance. He likes what they do together but he doesn't want to like it. Will he be able to get past his own demons and go after what he truly wants?

For some reason, this one didn't interest me as much as the first one. I don't know if it was the long time in between reading the parts or it was the story, but I just wasn't that moved. Elliott's stupidity was annoying. Also, Simone kept saying that she didn't have to chase a man but that's precisely what she seemed to be doing.

Elliott's decisions seemed to make both of them miserable and that's really where things ended. But, this time, I don't really have the desire to continue on. So, I think I'll leave things here with this serial.

The second installment of this series... to be released Feb. 18th... 57 pages.
I'm kind of surprised that I like this so far... rough sex is not something that usually interests me in erotica... quite often it bothers me. But these two do seem to fit well together and they are very likable. I am very interested to find out about Elliott and his past. There is a story there...
This is not BDSM... Simone makes it very clear that she doesn't do submissive! I do like that about her. She just likes it rough and she's looking for someone who can safely provide this to her. Everything that occurs is all very consensual. Simone is confident and tells it like it is... with her there is no mistaking what she wants. Elliott is somewhat resistant to his desire to give her what she wants and I do respect him for that. It's not something anyone should do if it makes them uncomfortable. Simone doesn't push him even though she really wants to. I like that she also respects his boundaries. It will be interesting to witness these two in action when they finally get together.
So far I like this series...
There are five installments with the last one being released April 1st. Impatient readers may want to wait until they are all out before you dive in...
The next two installments will come out in March... hopefully I will remember to read them... :)

Another short book in this series leaves me wanting more of Elliott and Simone. We are now able to see more in what makes Elliott who he is, but not enough pieces to put the whole puzzle together. He is connected to another woman, Molly, and he clearly has had a bad relationship with his father. I could understand his walls he has created with Simone a bit more in this book, as she is a woman who would bull doze her way into his heart if he allowed it. He breaks my heart because I can see his lonely life and how he would love to allow her in, but the fear is too great for some reason that we have yet to understand.
Simone put herself out there once again, she tried to create an environment for him that would allow him to just let loose. While she thought she had him this time, even if for a short period of time, her dreams were crushed when he realized he was not the man she needed. Being the ever independent spitfire that Simone is, she gave it another chance and is now questioning what in the world happen to this sexy man to make him not want this connection.
I have to admit I am in love with these two. I am really impressed at how Megan Hart can give us a full episode into the saga of these characters in such a short amount of pages, but she does and she leaves me wanting more after each book.
Make sure you check out this series, I know I can hardly wait to get my hands on the next book in this series to see what it is go

My review is a reflection of the entire series...

If you haven’t read the sexy erotic stories of Megan Hart, you should, at least once. I find her books often expanding the tolerance of my naughty radar. Simone works in the same building as the successful Elliott Anderson and has watched him take on new conquests almost every night of the week. Voyeurism is definitely Simone’s kink and she is not shy about it. After nights of watching Elliott handle his business, the perfect opportunity presents itself for them to meet. Simone’s approach is a a tad bit more aggressive than the women Elliott is used to courting and only peaks his interest in Simone. As soon as things start to get steamy, Elliot is faced with some personal challenges that throws a monkey wrench into this new erotic relationship. Everyone deals with stress in their own personal way and Elliot is faced with exploring other areas of his sexual repertoire. Areas he has often deemed as immoral. Will Simone stand by Elliott through thick and thin? Will Elliott realize how his life has changed for the better with Simone in his life? So many questions and hopefully a lot of answers.
