Gabrielle Raiz is an author, a keen foodie and health-loving educator who perhaps surprisingly started her working life as a dentist. She has a knack for making things practical and understandable and has a flexible approach to her food and her yoga.

Gabrielle has recently expanded her food writing to publish 2 top selling books "Green Smoothie Magic" and "132+ Delicious Salads, Dressings and Dips". All of her recipes are fuss-free adaptable recipes which most importantly use easy to find ingredients that anyone can make. Some embody beautiful simplicity of 1 or 2 ingredients while others are marvellously complex, but never hard to make!

Gabrielle's talent as an author was crystallized through much online writing and of course with the publishing of her highly successful first book: "Hot Yoga MasterClass" (which is now finally, recently available on Amazon).

Her hallmark style has an easy, intelligent and conversational tone with a touch of humor!

In both her currently chosen fields (!) of nutrition and yoga she has built a solid reputation for creating products of beauty and above all, quality. "What you eat and how you move are 2 fields in which being mindful and present are vital", Gabrielle says. "I love that I help people do both!"

As the "Hot Yoga Doctor" she helps tens of thousands of people every month in every corner of the planet improve their yoga practices by demystifying all things yoga, hot yoga and Bikram Yoga™.

Something you may not know about Gabrielle (and rather unusual for a yoga instructor) is that she used to race motorcycles! But as she's been known to say "the last time I rode a motorbike was to go and buy a pregnancy testing kit". Her daughter is now 10!

Are you tired of the same tossed salad (iceberg lettuce, a couple tomato wedges, a slice or two of cucumber, a few shredded carrots)? In 132+ DELICIOUS SALADS, DRESSINGS AND DIPS, Gabriella Raiz proves that salads need not be boring nor repetitious.
Do you like guacamole? She offers seven recipes. There are also seven salsa recipes. If your zucchini is taking over the garden, there is a recipe using just spiral grated zucchini and dressing, with several dressing options. There are more than salad dressing recipes and eight hummus ones.
Her recipes work for people who have many different food preferences, from vegans to meat and potato fans to people with allergies to specific foods. The book provides ideas to satisfy all.
If you see an interesting vegetable at the market and buy it because it is on sale but don’t know what to do with it, 132+ DELICIOUS SALADS, DRESSINGS AND DIPS will give you feasible ideas.
It also includes tips about kitchen utensils, keeping salads from getting soggy, preparing the ingredients, garnishes, portion sizes, etc. She tells how grating frozen ginger is better than dried ginger powder.
The book includes an interesting disclaimer: “This book makes no warranties, guarantees, or promises to heal any illness nor does it promise that it will keep you young, make you look better, feel better, cure diseases, prevent diseases or stop the symptoms of signs of conditions or illnesses. “ She recommend resolving those issues with people trained to deal with them.
The recipes and suggestions are diverse and easy to follow. I’ve been cooking for about sixty years and found lots of interesting, new ideas in this book.
This book was a free Amazon download.

This is a very informative cookbook. The recipes are great and I will be constantly trying new ones out. My issue is, the pictures of the recipes need to be in colour. It is hard to get the "ooh, this looks good" with a black and white picture. I will definitely be using this cookbook to change things up a bit.

Il libro è interessante, gli ingredienti sono vari e anche i condimenti. Una stella in meno solo perché i condimenti con le loro varianti sono più della metà del libro . Per il resto sono ricette ed abbinamenti da provare.

Excellent primer.

I love salads, but I need some help to get away from the lettuce/tomato/carrots/cheese rut.

This book opened my eyes and imagination.

Well written, well edited and a great setup.
I love the way certain recipes are given with the salad "recipes," but then are recapped at the end.

Written by a vegetarian/almost vegan, but it is not preachy. "Flesh" food is even mentioned a time or two.

Will look for others by this author.
I think this was an Amazon freebie for me.

Very great recipes that are easy to make! I read through all of the recipes in this book and all of them sound so delicious even if they sound like a bit of an odd mixture of flavors. My friend and I have tried a few of the salads in the book and we couldn't be happier with the delicious results. We have been looking for a way to spice up our usually bland lunches and these recipes have been and are helping us stay on top of eating healthier.
