Reading romances, and then writing them, came about as a result of having too much time on my hands. When I first married my husband Don, I was working a regular nine to five job and he worked swing shift, from four in the afternoon until midnight. It wasn’t an ideal schedule for newlyweds, and in order to pass those hours when I was alone I started reading romances, and eventually tried my hand at writing them.
The road to publication wasn’t an easy one. It took me five years and dozens of rejections to make my first sale, which was to Harlequin for their “Stolen Moments” line. THE FAMILY MAN, written under the pseudonym Danielle Kelly, was one of the twelve novellas published in 1993 for this promotional line.
It took me another two and a half years (and more rejections!) to sell my second book. HEAVEN’S GIFT (written under my own name) was published in October 1995 by Leisure Love Spell for their “An Angel’s Touch” series. Another two years passed of collecting even more rejections before I finally sold to Harlequin Romance and Harlequin Temptation. At the time, writing for both Temptation and Harlequin Romance provided me with a wonderful creative outlet for both my modern, ultra-sexy stories, and my warmer, traditional romances. But as the years passed, I realized how much I enjoyed writing the sexier stories and streamlined my career accordingly so that I was no longer writing the sweet traditional romances, and instead focused on the hotter, sexier stories for Temptation and Blaze.
After writing over two dozen books for Harlequin, I decided to branch out. I wanted to write anthologies and single titles, and came up with an idea about three sexy brothers with the last name of “Wilde”. Little did I know that those Wilde brothers would become such a sensation with readers. In the second Wilde book, WILDE THING, four Wilde cousins were introduced, and readers started writing in for their stories, too. It’s been a joy and pleasure to write each of the Wilde stories, and I want to thank everyone for purchasing those books and putting them on the USA Today Bestseller list!
I’ve been a full-time writer for years, which consists of being deep in deadlines, writing proposals (growling at the husband to fix a glitch in the computer so I can get back to work!), perusing contracts, line-edits (stressing over a scene that won’t work or characters that just won’t talk or cooperate with my plans for them!), galleys, art-fact sheets, promotion, and other publishing paperwork. Admittedly, I wouldn’t trade all the craziness in for pantyhose, rush hour traffic, and a nine-to-five job again. Writing is hard work, but I find the rewards are well worth the effort. Fan letters are one of those priceless rewards, and can keep me on a high for days! I’ve met the most wonderful people through my books, some of which I now consider good friends.

It gets even better! Our newly awakened couple have now decided to turn their unused basement into a "classy, decadent den of iniquity"...umm that's a playroom to the rest of us!
"Ever since their agreement to spice things up, Dean has been full of surprises when it came to what he wanted and desired. Then again, predictable was boring and she was coming to thoroughly enjoy the unexpected where he was concerned."
It was like with each step into the unknown they were able to shed their inhibitions and discover this new erotic power they had over each other!
"The man was so full of surprises and more innovative than McGyver and she was impressed with his clever use of pearls." So was I!! *fanning self* Apparently diamonds are no longer a girls best friend!
"He was beginning to appreciate that there was probably very little his new, adventurous wife wouldn't try and that was a very heady, powerful realization." For example, Skype sex! Oh and there is a hot little restaurant scene!
I love the dual POV! You get to see inside both of their heads. I think Dean and Jillian already had an amazing sex life prior to their "awakening" but their experiment just magnified their connection.

The second book in Janelle Denison's "The Marriage Diaries series and it was just as good as the first. These books are erotic novellas and I've stated before I am not a fan of novellas, but I am now a big fan of Ms. Denison's writing style so am on board for the next one! Hot, hot, hot.

The characters are the same but changing as they fall further into the Awakening that Jillian set in motion when she visited dean's office. There was no major story here more like 3 experiments being done by the couple which were broken up. This is a short story with three short stories within. I really like this couple because they seem very real and I would hope that anyone would be as open as the are.
Dean and Jillian Noble are a married couple who are having a sexual awakening after 19 years of marriage. The journey is good for both and especially for Dean who has wanted to try things with the woman he loves that he felt were to dark and kinky. When Jillian opens the door Dean is more than happy to go through and find out what works for them both.
This was just an alright entry for me though I like them I think it would have been better to have something else going on beside just the set-up for more sex. Not to say that I don't like sex but give me something more about them. Where does Jillian work, or does she? Still, I think it will be enjoyable for most.

I rarely wear my husband out, but the last day or two we've been like rabbits! Why? Because I read the THE MARRIAGE DIARIES ">Marriage Diaries by Erika Wilde. Holy Hotness! This series is everything a short hot novella series should be. I swear, the author was IN MY HEAD, reading all of my fantasies! I have been married over 20 years, and I just loved reading about a hot as hell, sexy couple that was in a long term marriage as well.
Already the couple can't get enough of each other, now that they have unleashed the beast, they are just getting started. Dean tells Jillian to be ready to go out for a date, but finds her dozed off in the bathtub, and gives her a nice wakeup. When she tries to coerce him to stay home...
He picked out a very skimpy outfit for her to wear, and gave her a long strand of pearls, pearls that when worn backwards look like a choker, but can also be used like a leash to give Jillian that sense of being owned.
Each of these books are about 40 pages. They are quick reads and they are good for pre-bedtime reading (if you know what I mean). If you are reading these alone, make sure you have a toy nearby, or visit my erotic toystore to pick up some of the items you might find in the books. Or toys you'll need while reading it. :-D
These books can be read individually (My vajayjay needed a break so I read another book in between).
My husband and I went through a similar sexual revitalization after about 19 years of marriage (thanks to some of my favorite sexy books). We both started sharing our fantasies more, and my husband's dominant side is hot as hell. He and Dean actually reminded me of each other. In the last 3 years, our marriage has become so much stronger and way hotter now that we finally came clean (or dirty) with our fantasies and brought some of the kink in. So I really related to these books. I realized that some of that hot spark we've had has been dying out again, but this series brought it right back!
So Erika, I thank you, and so does Mr. Ana. My vajayjay however (and the muscle I pulled) are not as happy with you afterwards.

-I loved how Dean and Jillian finally came out and admitted the things they have fantasized about.
-How attracted the couple still is to each other.
-Dean is so alpha and commanding. Yum.
-How the trust between them just made it all so much easier.
-Almost every sex act is something I have fantasized about or done and want more of.
-Though each of these were short, they were just right for what they are.
-The sex acts were long and detailed without using words that make me snort or roll my eyes.
-I never felt like I needed more, these stories delivered what the intended.
Dislikes:

Rating: 5 stars for a ladyporn novella series, 5+++ heat
It seems strange to give this 5 stars when there really isn't much much character development. But that's not what we read this for. You know how sometimes you just need a good hard fucking? That's what this is like. Sometimes you need a little sex with your story, sometimes a little story with your sex. This series is the latter, and that's just fine for a change.
Usually when I read a novelette, I feel it is missing something. How good can something be in 40 pages? But I have to tell you, these deliver what they are intended for. Lady Porn for the married moms (though I think a guy would like these too). There was just enough story to keep you interested, and the characters were very likable. I never felt like I needed more story, it was just right. I look forward to reading Erika Wilde's next story and see what her spin-off series is all about.

I love how the couple's communication really helps them explore the new territory. It's like a dam broke, and they are going to keep stepping it up. Plus I love the idea of a fantasy vase! I truly enjoyed this installment of The Marriage Diaries. Not quite as much as the first, but I still can't wait to read more, and still loved this one.

In volume 2 of The Marriage Diaries we kick back off with another diary entry from Jillian briefly describing the change in both her and her husband Dean since they vamped up their sex life.
Dean begins to take things to the next level in this one and as they start to explore the kinkier side of sex, (even in a public setting) the excitement level is increased.
While rediscovering one another and being open with their fantasies, we get to experience an erotic dinner and drive home and a steamy home office scene that gives a whole new outlook on what a necklace of pearls can be used for.
When Dean has to go away on business, it was interesting to see how creative and uninhibited the couple has become, especially Jillian.
This story is erotica and involves aspects of BDSM but it's not over the top. What the reader gets to experience is a happily married couple exploring their sexual needs and desires in a completely consensual, safe and loving environment.
Again I thought having the duel POV provided depth to the story and with each volume being novella size, it ensures a quick, fun and hot read. I'm enjoying watching the passion these two have for each other ignite and combust.

There is quite a lot of hot sex and I felt that I was getting to know the couple a bit better and can still relate to them. A really good read that I really enjoyed.
This is a really short read but I am excited to move onto the next on immediately.

These books are a whole lot of fun. This was even better than the first. What a sexy and fun story. These two are smokin hot together. The restaurant scene and unique use of pearls just show how creative you can get to spice things up. Loved the Skype. This is one hot married couple.

My Rant:
The Marriage Diaries was tantalizing, Erotic and raunchy. What I enjoyed about this series is that it based on a marriage couple that is trying to bring the spice back into the relationship since their kids are all grown up and out of the house.
Jillian has always fantasized about here and Dean taking thing to the next level and when she reveal her fantasies things erupt and unravel quickly in the story. As a character Julian decided to seduces her husband in order to get him to play along. She is not longer a vanilla girl and wants to explore other flavors in life. Wink Wink. What she is unaware of is that Dean has some fantasies of his own but he was always afraid of how Julian would take them.
The characters loved each other deeply but the intimacy in these new endeavors help them to connect on a deeper level erotically. Dean is an ex seal, so as you readers know he already has that dominant side to him and will Jillian begins to coax out his true nature she unlocks something in Dean and there is no locking up the sexual beast. Of course at this point who wants too. Dean is Hot. Super hot! He is all alpha male, although he may struggle to give up power a time or two you can resist his charms or sex appeal. I ripped through these book so fast that i couldn't believe I got through them all in once sitting.
Erika Wilde completely had me in a trance. Her writing style was smooth and the store just continue to flow with ease. As I was reading the story it felt like I was visual watching it because she gave you the complete blow by blow in details. Her imaginations is vivid, so vivid your panting because you want some of what Juliann is getting. lol Although the book in this series are short its just enough of a story to make you crave the next book. really, I so need to read the next book and i am anxiously awaiting the release to the 5th book in the series called the invitation.
Overall I was addicted to this series and what appealed to me more was that anyone can purchase all four of the books in this series for under $10.00. Erika Wilde is definitely going on my fav authors list and the marriage diaries will be a series that I would enjoy continuing. If you don't believe me just pick up the books yourself to see. As it stands now the first book is Free, that right free so go cop yourself a feel oops I mean book.
My Recommendation
I rated the Marriage Diaries series 4 1/2 out of 5 purple rant hears and would recommend the series to anyone that loves a little spice in their romance.

The Seduction is the second book in Janelle Dension’s The Marriage Diaries and yes, this is a serial and while I don’t normally read or like this genre I’m actually blown away by this one. First off the price is right; each installment is 99 cents and well worth the price. Secondly, this serial is about a committed long term couple rediscovering their sexuality now that their children are away from home. So therefore, we aren’t left hanging with the story line, each installment is a new and exciting adventure these two take together. Personally, my husband and I are really enjoying reading these together; they spark a lot of ideas and some great conversations.
In the first book Jillian made the first move and while Dean went along with her seduction he at first wasn’t sure what brought it all on. He quickly got on board and in this book, we are beginning to see that Dean has obviously been holding back in their 20 year marriage and he shows Jillian exactly what it means to belong to him. Oh yes, Dean truly shows his dominate side in this story and it’s flipping hot as hell and very sexy. They don’t get into any heavy duty BDSM but they do explore it and let’s just say I will never look at a long pearl necklace the same way again. We also get a little hint about what the next installment will entail and I think Jillian might be somewhat taken by surprise when Dean unleashes that fantasy!
These are short but well written and well thought out stories with so much steam they fog up the windows. I won’t lie; they are pretty much foreplay and sex with a little conversation thrown in but they are so very tantalizing. I love seeing this couple explore their desires with each other and letting us go along for the ride!

I absolutely LOVED The Seduction, the second installment in The Marriage Diaries series by Janelle Denison. This novella packs a big punch. From the opening line, my heart was racing. I thought I would have to go back to read the first novella, The Awakening, to boost my memory, but I did not need to after all. As I started reading, I immediately went back to the final scene of that novella. It's as if, I did not have to wait, for what seemed like forever, to get my hands on this one. I had to pace myself, and take a breather. If I was a smoker, I would definitely need a cigarette. This series is a MUST READ, even if you are not married.
About half way through, I had to write the author and let her know how much I loved The Seduction. She made me wish I had a husband, a boyfriend, a fiancé...just someone special nearby after reading, I seriously needed a cold shower because I was all hot and bothered. Oh to be in a relationship where you feel as safe as Dean and Jillian Noble. I can't wait to read the next installment, The Taking. That level of trust takes time to nurture, and I hope that one day, I will be able to find someone I love and trust as much. Denison takes spicing a relationship up to the next level. You can sense the love both characters feel for each other. And, you feel their desire. Denison's scenes are very vivid and descriptive; they sometimes leaped off the page. At times, I felt like I was watching a scene in a movie or on television. Wow! Denison has some writing chops and her voice is absolutely amazing. These are just two of the reasons why I love her books.

I loved meeting Jillian and Dean Nobel in The Awakening (Volume #1) of The Marriage Diaries Series. I loved watching a couple who have been happily married for 19 years start to explore their sexual fantasies together. Jillian totally surprises Dean by showing him she wants to spice up their love life and I loved watching them grow as a couple.
The Seduction (Volume #2) is even hotter and sexier than The Awakening. Dean takes the controls in The Seduction and Jillian is more than happy to give the controls to him. I love the level of trust they have for one another and knew that at any point Jillian could safe out of the situation if she wanted to do so. Loved even more how turned on she got from each fantasy Dean presented. With each volume of this series, the love scenes just keep getting hotter and hotter. I love reading about a couple who have been married long-term want to spice up their love life. While each of the three scenes are super sexy, my favorite was the final one. OMG was it hot! I can’t wait to see what happens with Dean and Jillian once they have their new playroom.

There is quite a lot of hot sex and I felt that I was getting to know the couple a bit better and can still relate to them. A really good read that I really enjoyed.
This is a really short read but I am excited to move onto the next on immediately.

Wow! If you haven't read Janelle Denison before, you are missing out. I first read Ms. Denison's work today and Oh My God... This novelette is hot and sexy. It is a second in a series, but can be read and understood by itself. The characters are likeable and believable as a couple. It is nice to see an erotic story about a married couple who can't keep their hands off each other. I got to the end and was very disappointed that it was already over. I can't wait for the next novelette in the series to come out!

I like this series but I really wish there were like 3 books are not 5 (or more to come)that is less then 100 pages per book.
I love the chemistry that Jillan and Dean have. Haven't raising their children who they had at an early age they are young and vibrant people who now have the freedom to experience things that they haven't had the chance to. I'm actually envious that they put a "playroom" in their house, wish I had one but I digress. I do love how Dean is so alpha, everyone woman needs one for at least one time in their lives.
I'm off to the next book.

I loved The Seduction! I really enjoyed seeing how Dean and Jillian's relationship has evolved since The Awakening. Dean was much more comfortable as a Dom as he knows that Jillian also wants this. He is certainly creative! Jillian also seems more confident in asking for what she needs and wants from Dean. I loved how exploring this aspect of their relationship has increased the intimacy in their marriage. I can't wait to see what happens next!

I was lucky to receive ARC The Seduction. This is book 2 of The Marriage Diaries. A short sexy read. This is the story of Dean and Jillian, empty nesters realizing that there is a lot that they want to experiment in their sex lives between the two of them. I think pearls should be every girl's best friend. Looking forward to the third book in the series.

The Marriage Diaries Volumes 1-4 was skillfully written and had me captivated from the very first page to the very climatic end. The sex scenes for intense, passionate and hot. A deep and erotic exploration of love, life and sexuality. Makes you believe that after many years of marriage, you still can add some spice to your love life.

I am so very much enjoying Dean and Jill's interludes. I love that this series is about a long married couple still very much in love and exploring some of their most secret desires. I'm looking forward to The Taking but hoping this series continues beyond 3 volumes.

This installment was even hotter than the first one. I love that it is about a married couple and that they are able to fulfill fantasies for each other like this. It is such a steamy read and so well written. I can't wait for more!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel from the first page until the very last. It has been a very rare occurrence that I could just pick up a book and read it in one day; but, I was captivated by these characters and their amazing love story instantaneously.
