Revised New Edition
Formerly published as Banished from Rhonan.

Present day Scotland.. When newly weds, Jessica and Douglas the Earl of Rhonan move into Rhonan Manor, they discover letters, and a Journal written in 1810 by their ancestor Muriall, the Countess of Rhonan. The Journal describes a cursed land, of thousands of starving tenants in the Scottish Highlands cast out of their homes by unscrupulous landlords. Muriall warns her descendants of the demon's vow to destroy the line of Rhonan. To her horror, Jess finds herself travelling through the centuries, reliving the terrors of the doomed Muriall.
She fears for her life, as she realizes the demon is stalking her, intent on possessing her body and soul. Douglas, a skeptic, denies the existence of demons, believing it is all in her imagination. In desperation, she turns to the local priest, Father O'Reilly, who contacts the Jesuit, Father Tobias Marescas.
The demon is gathering strength.
The ghosts of Rhonan walk.

I live with hubby on the South Coast of England. I often write in the beach hut gaining inspiration by walking along the beach with Lily my golden retriever.

I draw on my work and past studies for the books. They form the core of the novels. I am so glad I can now write full time.

I have a B.A. Hons in Psychology that included Artificial Intelligence, another B.A. Hons in Eng. Lit and Creative Writing. My M.A. was in Religion and Mysticism; I also have a Hon.Dr.Sc. concentrating on Pain control and Complementary Healing methods.
These subjects enrich the thrillers and paranormal novels that I am writing.

This book takes you back to the lives of Jess and Douglas, as well as Muriall and Duncan. The descriptions of the living conditions of 1810 are once again harrowing but necessary to the story, and absolutely fascinating as well, to read about the Black Fever and the Relapsing Fever (Yellow Fever).

In my opinion, this book is definitely better than the first book. There is more description and the writing style in general is a bit smoother. The story takes an interesting twist as it explores the Wiccan side, as two "White Witches" help alongside the Jesuit and Catholic Priest to banish the demons. Jess, Lucy and Dinah become the three faces of Bride, whilst the men have their own paths to walk.

I would have liked more detail about Lucy and Nat, and Dinah and George. As these are all supporting characters (and Lucy and Dinah being the two other faces of Bride) it would be nice to have a bit more involvement with them. All you know about Dinah is that she is plump (which keeps being mentioned), she is Jess' cousin and people comment on that she is "Fey looking". As far as Lucy goes, her main credential is that she is George's sister!

The setting and ambiance of this book is very good and it is a very enjoyable read.
