You’ve probably heard the common phrase “lightning never strikes the same place twice,” but for neurologist Steven Chandler, tragedy strikes again sixteen years after the car accident that claimed the lives of his parents and left him paralyzed. Fate, the cruel mistress that she is, decides to turn his life upside down once more, but she softens the blow by bringing a brunette beauty back into his life.
Currently, in the US, 5.3 million people are dealing with a severe form of paralysis. Over 61 million people in the US self-identify as a person with a disability. One hundred percent of everyone you’ve ever met would like to fall in love.
For Steven Chandler, Abigail Harris could be his one-in-a-million.
D. A. Charles is a wife, mother and personal care provider by day, and enjoys writing into the wee hours of the night from her residence in the forest.
Dee’s roots began in nursing, but she found her passion providing Home and Community-based Care to individuals with disabilities and has done so for more than thirty-five years. D. A. enjoys the, sometimes challenging, scavenger hunt that is information and referral, and is involved in disability rights advocacy.
Dee has sprinkled real life disability issues throughout her writing to bring about disability awareness and maintains an information and referral website with links for agencies and organizations that provide goods and services for individuals who have disabilities, as well as current events that may interest the disability community.
While the characters she writes about are fictional, they are inspired by individuals who have left their footprints on her life.

This story captivated me from beginning to end. An emotional story written with people who have disabilities on their path to finding love and happiness. A story that shows their struggles/challenges but also a story about their strength, acceptance, adaptibility, and relilience. A story that is beautifully told and thought-provoking.
Good story I was happy Steven got a happy ending because he sure deserved it. Abby character went through a lot too. But I'm wondering will some of the other characters get a book.
