I think we need to take a long hard look at whether books like this are really what we want in our society. (And I'd say the same if you swapped "Democrat" for "Republican.")

There is so much animus as it is; we're so divided. We're imploding as a country because we've so effectively monetized cultural outrage and political vitriol. We're in a race to the bottom of hyperbole, confirmation bias, and decontextualization. This book is exemplary of all that's wrong -- not with one party or the other, but with people like Levin doing more damage than any policy ever could.

I'll never read this book, nor any book like it, on one "side" or the other. And by the way, we're all Americans... except maybe for Levin. Levin is just a grifter.

Spoon fed propaganda. Both parties are cancer to America, and to many american citizens are willingly letting influencers control their thinking. We have been divided, and the only thing that comes is our downfall. A downfall where everyone points fingers at eachother, while these influencers, politicians, and rich people laugh over a roasted pig.

Sad thing is, no one hates America. Not even the puppeteers. They just see money and numbers. I will never understand how people willingly let themselves be controlled by propaganda.

Yes, the title of Mark Levin’s new book is definitely provocative. And that is unfortunate if the name of this book gets it banned from stores, or prevents people who really need to hear his arguments from reading them. As a former Democrat myself (who left the party after almost 40 years), I’m convinced something has gone horribly wrong inside the soul of the DNC. This is definitely NOT our parents’ DNC! Constitutional legal scholar Mr. Levin has put his finger on what has caused the rot within the party leadership. To paraphrase his words, “if you want to fundamentally transform your spouse, that indicates you don’t really like your spouse much.” Hence, a political party that loudly and proudly espouses its desire to fundamentally transform the United States, doesn’t really like the United States much. In fact, it might actually hate most things about our country—especially our founding documents that created our Constitutional Republic. This book takes a methodical, logical, and clear-eyed look at all the ways today’s Democrat Party is attempting to dismantle our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Mr. Levin provides accurate, up-to-date examples, illustrated with recent current events, of manipulations and attacks on the American rule-of-law by the DNC and their party apparatchiks. Levin always brings the receipts when he makes an argument—as a Constitutional lawyer he’s way too smart to make claims he can’t 100% document. Bottom line, this book is proof positive that the DNC is no longer a “normal” political party that shares power and makes compromises with other political parties to govern the citizens who elect candidates. It has morphed into a monstrous authoritarian apparatus with near total control over everything in our lives: our executive, legislative and administrative government; our multi-leveled judiciary; our civic institutions; our traditional media; our social media; our educational system (from public elementary schools through the universities), our economic institutions, even our military—all bow down to a DNC that puts party and power before its citizens and country. If the American Experiment and Republic is to continue beyond its 250th birthday, the Democrat Party must be, shall we say, fundamentally transformed. Or perhaps it must merely be peacefully dismantled and patriotically reimagined.

In its various forms through various methods, Marxism, has crept its way into the heart of the Democratic Party. Which requires a worldview (or ethos) which is contrary to the American experiment. The content of the book, well referenced and long winded, delivers on its title.

It no doubt offends the sensibilities of some, but if a person is honest, I don't think anyone ACTIVE in the modern democratic base (elite or activist) could write a book titled "The Democratic Party Loves America." I imagine the honest democrat would snicker at such a title. You don't love something you're trying to completely transform. There's a vast difference between progress and a wrecking ball.

This is probably my favorite book that Mark Levin has written. My favorite chapters are " The War on the Nuclear Family," and "The War on the U.S. Constitution." If you wanted to transform a nation, you'd go after two of the most sacred targets, our children and our founding documents.

I think this book is very timely, given that this is an election year. It's seriously the most cliche political line ever......when you hear politicians on both sides tell the people that "this is the most important election of our lifetime." I generally loathe that statement. However, this time around I cannot get that statement out of my head. I think our Republic hangs in the balance in 2024.

My one criticism is that there should've been a chapter on how tepid many Republicans have been in the last several decades. The one thing I do admire about the modern left is they are willing to fight for what they believe in. Even if it's out of touch with truth and reality.

This book is straightforward, indeed its sharp, but frankly it's refreshing.

There is an American ideology that stands in contradistinction to other nations. That ideology is codified in the governing documents that were written by the Founding Fathers of the United States. In this book, Mark Levin does an excellent job demonstrating that the ideology of the Democrat Party is fundamentally contrary to that which America was founded upon, and proves that if you love what America was, is, and can be then you cannot support the vile Democrat party.

About 40 pages of end notes, and yet hardly anything tying the Democrat party to “America-hating” behavior. For example, the author defines fascism and authoritarianism, citing sources about how they are horrible for a democracy (okay), but then has a concluding sentence to the effect of, “See? Just like Democrats!” without citing anything to support that conclusion🤔🧐🤨 .

Also, tbook hasn’t aged well since it was published on October 3, 2023 (about 11 weeks ago) with Trump promising to Sean Hannity last week that he’ll only be a dictator “on Day One” if he’s re-elected. With the majority of Republicans still largely supporting Trump after those remarks, you would think it’s clear that it’s the Republican party that is embracing authoritarianism. After all, history doesn’t have lots of “dictators-for-a-day” types who voluntarily gave up power after just one day. 🙄

A rather tongue biting read, because you will want to scream! Especially if you have read his book, AMERICAN MARXISM. Mark Levin's books are always well written and well researched. His references are many of which I eventually read in order to make certain that I am not being led by someone's misrepresentation(s). When I read these referenced books, I always find that they are backing up everything he had written without misrepresenting or taking out of context. When it comes to the topics that Mark Levin writes about are always well worth the time to read about. And the old adage is not always true, you that one that says, "You can't judge a book by its cover!" His titles are always spot on concerning the title. As far as the Democratic Party Hating America, well...have you watched the news lately?? They back the so-called "rights" of illegal aliens, drug pushers, and human traffickers; they seek to dox, hamstring, & defund law enforcement thereby preventing them from doing their jobs. Many lifelong democrats I have known and have met have over the last several years left the democrat party because of their backing trans-women being in women's sports and locker rooms with no need of actually transitioning. Allowing boys in girls bathrooms. And the list can go on and on. Well worth the time to read this astounding book!

Mark Levin’s Book on the democrat party exposes some of the most un-American ideals of practices I have a read about. I have known there are some issues the Democrats Address that are un-American and I had no idea so much of what they do Falls under a foundation and I ideal that is not American.

Levin does a fine job bringing details to light he has researched for over a year. His deep research shows throughout this book. He does not bring a charge against the Democrats as much as a warning for America about what they value and how it goes against American freedoms and the foundation on which the country was built.

Some of the chapters describe American presidents like FDR or Woodrow Wilson throughout their administrations. These presidents, and other Democrats throughout history, challenge the Constitution. I already knew these presidents weren’t the American presidents we are used to hearing about. The author shows a stronger case for why they were anti-American. These are just a few of the samples of democrats he talks about. Not every democrat is against American ideals. But the party as a whole has shown a propensity for going against America values and principles.

I cannot go into near the detail the author gives. If you want the details about the Democrat party and how it has subverted American principles and ideals, you need to get this book and take the same look I did when I read it. It is well worth the read and the time too look at mark Levin’s results. It may surprise you how much research the brought to the table on this important matter.

I share his concern that the Democrat party in the past and present could be the undoing of the American way of life and even our country. For that reason alone, you need to dedicate some time to reading it. It will help you to see the black and white evidence that this party may not be safe , especially where the party is today. Read the facts and judge for yourself.

Affirmation over information nightmare

Mark R. Levin is a Constitutional Scholar and lawyer. He has written a definitive history on the Democrat Party in the USA.

Not surprising to this reader-a student of history, the Democrat Party has always engaged in racism and skullduggery in their politics. But for the sake of time I will outline the Democrats' racist history since the 1940's. Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black, a FDR appointee, was a member of the KKK and an avid supporter of The New Deal. He wrote the majority opinion of the Korematsu vs USA during WW2. It was that 6-3 Decision that legalized the internment of Japanese Americans following the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

Following Jesse Owens triumph win during the Berlin Olympics of 1936, was not invited to the FDR White House for the ceremony.

Furthermore, FDR opined the following with regards to Jews: "they were unscrupulous money changers." However, a vast number of American Jews voted for Roosevelt all four times. According to Fowler Harper, the Solicitor General for the Interior Department in the 1940's made the comment that "FDR would not lift a finger to help the Jews from Germany." FDR did employ some Jews in his Administration, but his State Department was also filled with a vast number of anti-Semites.

Joe Kennedy, the father of the slain president, was also a notorious anti-Semite. He served as FDR's Ambassador to The Court of St. James.

Mr. Levin also argues that the 1964 Civil Rights Bill was opposed by 69 percent of Senate Democrats; Eighty-two percent of Senate Republicans supported the Bill. Sixty-one percent of House Democrats opposed the said Bill; Eighty percent of House Republicans supported it.

Lyndon Johnson frequently used the "N' word in describing Blacks. Moreover, when LBJ appointed Thurgood Marshall to the SCOTUS, the first Black to the Court, Johnson uttered this comment: "when I appoint a "N" word to the bench, I want everybody to know he's a "N" word. Johnson also voted against every Civil Rights Bill while he served in Congress.

While Barry Goldwater, the Republican Senator from Arizona, voted against the 1964 Civil Rights Bill, he did vote for the 1957 Civil Rights Bill.

Without the Republican Party, the Civil Rights Bills of 1875, 1957, 1960, 1964 and 1965 would never have passed.

In my opinion, this is the best and dmost relevant book Levin has written to date. It's refreshing to know that someone has the courage to expose what the Democrat party is really about. We can only hope that as a nation we have the courage to stop them.

This book is great -- if you're interested in having someone confirm your preconceived notions and biases. It will tell you you were right all along, that "THEY" are evil and hate America. If you read it without having a strong understanding of American history, he will sound like he's telling you things "THEY" don't want you to know, or that were covered up.

This book is awful, because it is a gish gallup of context-free claims and propagandist writing techniques. It's demagogic, and relies on the assertion the Southern Strategy and the ideological shift in the Republican party didn't happen. It picks out some things that *did* happen in the past, and then uses those things to assert wild and wrongful attribution, claiming those things, which are widely known/written about/findable on the internet and in history books, are being suppressed because if you KNEW! It's written for a MAGA audience and the introduction is almost designed to cause a non-MAGA person to toss it away in disgust so that it won't be challenged. The problem is, all of his claims have been covered by other historians, so no debunking after the fact is necessary.

It basically ticks off all of the tactics on the fear-mongering list:

* Speaking for others ("they"; broad us vs. them statements; I mean...did you read the title?)
* manufactured vulnerability
* wrongful attribution (taking a group and associating a scary thing to it, without proof)
* over generalization (taking one instance and making it sound like it's very common)
* making something scary (taking an event and changing words to make it seem more scary/dangerous than it is)
* passive aggression
* the "enemy" is simultaneously weak/ineffective and incredibly strong/unbeatable

It's trash. If you think you'll learn something from this, no you won't.

This is an outstanding political history of America. Portions angered me enough I had to put the book down and walk around for a few minutes. Mark Levin provided over 50 pages of notes at the end of the book that provided the sources of his information. I highly recommend this book for all potential voters. It is an eye opener.

America in Trouble

Only 300,000 copies of this book, in all forms I.e hardcover, audio, digital downloads have been sold, so says the author. This is disappointing as every non-Democrat needs to read this book NOW not later. We must remember that, of this writing, there are only twelve months until the next Presidential election.

I had to pick this up given the name of the book is so inflammatory and silly that I thought it might be a fun glimpse into how Limbaugh-pilled pundits have adapted to the Trump era. Sadly, these are the same tired and inane, false-on-their-face arguments right wing pundits were making ten years ago, only now even more obviously facile with the Republican Party now belonging solely to Donald Trump. There are too many flagrant errors and deceptions to bother recounting even just in the first chapter, but I’ll highlight one I found to be the most egregious: Levin spends several pages talking about Freedom House’s report on rising authoritarianism. He points to their analysis on rising authoritarianism in the US in 2017 but completely elides that this was mostly due to the rise of Trump and his strongman rhetoric. Instead of writing about what the report actually said about the US, he instead recounts what they wrote about China and Russia, and then gesticulates at the idea that this sounds like what the Democratic Party is doing (it doesn’t). The rest is the usual projection, describing what the Republican Party does and has been doing for years, but attributing it to the Democratic Party with scant evidence.

Not only are Levin’s talking points stuck in the Obama era—Obama is mentioned far more than current President Biden, I’ll let you speculate why—his arguments are also lazy. Rather than paraphrasing, he regularly quotes entire paragraphs. After one extensive quote he just wrote “Exactly.” Another reviewer offers that this book is a good chance to practice critical thinking, I’d argue even that is too generous. The flaws in this thing are so elementary I reckon anyone not in the echo chamber could refute it. It should have been obvious by the title, but in case it isn’t, this is clearly just more of the same slop that has been astroturfed into relevance by our actual oligarchs, written for already converted octogenarians to spike their cortisol to.

Warning - not to be skimmed through!
This is an excellent work of research. analysis and summarizing of the current chaos our nation is in. This lust for power that destroys opportunities of for others to achieve their dreams. Politics has become infested with parasites who in the real world would never succeed. Mark Levin takes you step by step through the issues, policies and people that are are tearing our country apart. He does not focus on feelings and hear say but digs into the sources and documents to form the foundation of his arguments and analysis. You will not read through this book quickly, nor should you. It is meant to read a section, then think through what was written. If you doubt what he says go to his sources and read for yourself. Levin is not a chatting parrot, he is a man who goes to the sources and thinks through the implications of the facts presented. Here is the rub of this book, Levin expects the read to think through what he is writing. However in society today regurgitation of other's ideas is desired over thinking for oneself. We are living in sad times. Mark we were raised by the greatest generation that sacrificed everything for others, We grew up with the most selfish generation that only thought of themselves and now we are living amongst the most whinny generation that refuses to think for themselves or for that matter do anything for themselves. Thank you for the excellent research and analysis of our current chaos!

Mark Levin's first book. "Men in Black" is a tremendous exposition of the history of the Supreme Court, including various nefarious decisions by the Court. It is a wonderful read and should be on everyone's bookshelf. But later books did not stand up to the brilliance of "Men in Black", and in fact, were dry to the point of being boring.

"The Democrat Party Hates America" is somewhere in between. There are certainly provocative segments that serve as a clarion call to US citizens. But there are long stretches where Levin quotes other people, or drives home a point for the 30th time. The good parts of "The Democrat Party Hates America" will certainly make one's blood pressure rise. The boring parts bring one's blood pressure back to baseline.

Levin pulls no punches and I'd hate to have to debate him. He effectively compartmentalizes the threats to our country. I just wish Mr. Levin had winnowed out the long quotes and made the book more thrifty.

Packed with material. The goal of the Democrat Party is to change the country from what it originally was, and they're succeeding. Democrats want permanent change, and permanent control. Marxist ideology has invaded our society. A variety of topics ranging from pro-slavery to the current agenda of pro-Marxism. The book lays out the history and present anti-American agenda of the Democrat Party. No gossip or hearsay. Numerous footnotes and a lengthy Bibliography, everything is cross-referenced.

A very well researched book explaining how the Democrat Party has always and currently continues to hate this country.
Mark Levin covers on how the Democrat Party hates minorities, hates our Founding and hates our Republican former of government because they stand in the way of being able to achieve their ultimate goal of turning this into a Communist paradise a la Joseph Stalin.
I recommend this book to anyone with an open mind to understand the threat the Democrat Party poses on this great country.
