This was a good one. Bo learns a lesson, and young readers can anticipate the problems.

The chickens let Bo guard a clutch of eggs. Bo gets bored and plays with Scrapper. Also, Bo doesn't realize what's inside the eggs.

This series of books about the life of a young dog named Bo are perfect for young readers that have passed kiddie book level, but aren't quite ready for the tween level of book. Almost every page has an illustration, so that cuts down on how many words are there.

This particular title finds Bo learning about how chickens come from eggs along with the regular cast of characters: human sister Imani, human brother Wyatt, human mom Jennica, and human dad Darnell. As always, there are familiar barnyard pals like Comet. Also look for other friends of Bo both old and new.
